Surf Villas Condominiums in private Sawgrass Country Club is a gated community.This oceanfront unit is ideally located on the second floor (top floor) with a panoramic view of beach, surf, ocean and rising moon and sun. Some Surf Villas units on the first floor are subject to noise from above because there is no restriction on flooring with tile or wood.
The ocean views from the spacious deck of the condo and the living area are absolutely awesome. The uncrowded, clean sand beach is separated from the condo by a lovely grassy area and palm trees. The beach is ideal for surf fishing, running, biking, walking and shelling. Surf Villas property has 3000 feet of beach frontage and the adjacent Beach Club has 4000 more. The beach extends in either direction for miles and is only 88 small steps from the condo. The nearby Golf and Tennis Club is part of Sawgrass Country Club and includes a fitness center and restaurant. As a Founding Country Club member with full privileges, my rental guests have access to three day, weekly, monthly and annual fee membership to Sawgrass with its golf, tennis, fitness, dining and swimming facilities. Sawgrass Country Club has 27 holes of golf and was the annual site of the PGA's TPC Tournament until the Players built their own Golf Course across the road from Sawgrass Country Club. The tennis facilities have also hosted professional tournaments and the Club is the site for the 2009 Women's Professional Tournament previously held at Amelia Island, with top ranked players.
We are located within a one and a half to three hour drive to Disneyland, Space Coast, Daytona, Savannah and the Suwanee River. Nearby is America's oldest city, St. Augustine with its historic fort, horse drawn carriages, restaurants, shopping and other attractions. Also nearby are World Golf Village with the PGA Golf Museum and Hall of Fame, Guana State Park, Jacksonville Zoo, and Jaguars, NFL Football Stadium. Tickets are normally available on game day.
The condo is very comfortable with a king size bed, sleeper sofa and jacuzzi tub. Parking is directly in front of the condo. The sliding glass door in the living room opens to a roomy deck with part shade and sun. It overlooks the ocean and provides great stargazing at night. This condo extends the furthest toward the ocean, so there is no view obstruction from the other condos.
The condo comes equipped with cable internet, cable TV and free local and free long distance calling to US, Canada and Puerto Rico.

We have lived in Sawgrass since 1989 and just love it. Although we use a local management company to handle rentals, we live close by and have often been available to help with questions. So, renters get the advantage of a local professional manager and an owner nearby.
