Accommodations:  Apartment, 1 Bedroom + No additional sleeping rooms avail, 1 Bath (Sleeps 2)

Keywords:  Apartment, condo, guest house, retreat

Our Guest House is located in the heart of the Baker historic neighborhood in a hip, diverse, urban setting. Situated on a quiet, tree lined street, the apartment reflects an eclectic, artistic style. There is original art throughout the place, exposed brick walls, hardwood floors, ceramic tiles and a mix of old and new. It is nice, relaxed and very comfortable.

This is a great place to stay while in Denver, whether for work or play. The idea for our guest house was to create a place that we would want to stay while we are in town!

This ground floor unit is 650 sq. ft. with a private entrance to your home away from home. It has 1 large bedroom with office, WiFi, a full kitchen with a dishwasher and microwave. Plus a washer/dryer in the unit.

The bedroom is very large with a Queen bed and there is a desk and work area. All the office supplies that are stocked here can be used, including an HP printer and scanner. Guests can even use the art supplies if they like.

There is a shared deck off the bedroom that is situated in a beautiful, mature garden. Our guests really like this feature, they say it's a great place to sit and enjoy their morning coffee.

A 3 block walk to art galleries, unique boutiques, vintage furniture stores, indie movies, book stores, coffee houses, yoga, pilates and a great mix of restaurants and nightlife.

6 block walk to light-rail, a 3 minute drive to the Santa Fe Arts District with scores of galleries, a 5 to 7 minute drive to downtown and a 10 minute drive to the Cherry Creek shopping district.

A few of our guests have been traveling nurses, who are looking for their home away from home while they work at nearby hospitals for an extended time, from 2 to 4 months, and they really like how comfortable the place feels and how convenient it is to their temporary assignments.

This is the second time we have stayed at this property and were very pleased with it's comfort and cleanliness. We have 2 small dogs and the fenced yard was great for them. The pictures and descriptions are accurate. We plan to stay here again in the future. I would recommend this property.

A very big "thumbs up"

We stayed at Bari's rental the month of November and loved it! The vrbo listing was accurate - apt. was very clean and well-stocked. We especially love having a yard and patio. The location is great - not far from downtown, a block to a small park, and just a few blocks to great restaurants on Broadway. Sue - Bari's onsite "helper" was a great neighbor and resource. We'd definitely recommend this apt. and hope to return soon.

Owner response:Thank you Martha and we'll see you soon I hope!

We stayed June 7 to July 6, 2011 at this great location just south of downtown Denver. Bari and Sue made the check in and out easy. Sue was helpful in providing information about Denver - bike trails, bus service, rail service, etc. The apartment was clean, well-maintained. We walked to the ice cream place several nights each week, had dinner at the Mexican place on Broadway, and rode our bikes to Cherry Creek Mall and downtown daily. The library is several blocks away and makes their services available by showing the contract Bari provided. We parked our car on the street in front of the apartment. We had a wonderful time enjoying the neighborhood and the neighbors. We would stay again.

Amazing, clean and comfortable

Guest: Astrid (Boston)

My husband and I stayed at this apartment for 5 nights while attending a conference. This place was amazing! Spotless, modern, with all amenities you could ask for. The furnishings are very tasteful, and the artwork on the walls is stunning. A place we immediately felt at home in, and we'd definitely come back to. 52 bus leaves for downtown every half hour from around the corner, and a nighttime cab ride back from downtown to the house runs you about $8. The neighborhood is artsy and really cute. Diablo, a Mexican restaurant nearby, was great for lunch or dinner. Would recommend this place to friends in a heartbeat!

Quaint, Modern, and Comfortable

We stayed here a little over a year ago and it was perfect for us! We had never visited Denver before that trip and have since decided to move there. This apartment was perfect for us. Great location, convenient to everything. Owner was great to work with and trustworthy. Neighbor lady is friendly and helpful (she's the own who gives you the key and is there if you have any questions). We arrived and the sheets were fresh and drinks were stocked in the fridge. There's a small dishwasher and laundry washer/dryer that were convenient for our stay, including the detergents, etc. I would highly recommend this to a couple or small family. And you can't beat the rate!

Thank you Bari! Patrick and I so enjoyed our more than a month stay in your beautiful home! We would recommend everyone to consider staying here. The home is fully equipped and comfortable and feels safe, the neighbours are very charming and friendly, the garden so nice, we loved it! The home is very central to downtown, we walked downtown to the Art Museum! Supermarkets, shops and restaurants are also within walking distance and the house is on the bus route. This is a home with character and is unique, Bari was super helpful and just a wonderful host even though he wasnt in Denver he was there on the phone if we needed assistance. Thank you Bari for your generosity!

Owner response:I'm glad it worked out for you. Thanks for the great review.

This lovely apartment worked out perfectly for us. The photos depict it very accurately, and the surrounding neighborhood was friendly, interesting, and felt safe. Bari is a personable host, and we plan to stay at his home again when we next visit Denver.

The location was wonderful, with easy access to transportation and shopping. I felt very safe in the neighborhood and the condo was very quiet. Bari was very helpful in any concerns that we may have had and there was even fresh flowers to come home to.

Bari - thank you for letting us use your delightful home. It's obvious it's an artist's home - wonderful colors, paintings, etc. We were rarely here but it was a great place to come home to and we felt safe walking all over the neighborhood in the evenings.
