If you do dine out on Okaloosa Island, make sure to visit Old Bay Steamer for wonderful steamed seafood. Seafood by the bucket full is their expertise. Lobster tails, snow crab, king crab & shrimp are the contents of one of their buckets for two. You might get messy enjoying your meal, it's part of the experience though. They often tie bibs around their guests’ necks. Pasta & Steaks are also offered.
Pandora’s Steakhouse offers steak, seafood & prime rib. Pandora’s is the Emerald Coasts oldest family owned & operated steakhouse specializing in USDA choice beef & the freshest of local seafood. They also offer a Wine Spectator award winning wine list.
The original Fudpuckers Bar & Grill is located on Okaloosa Island. They opened in Fort Walton Beach on Okaloosa Island in 1986 and quickly became a favorite for visitors & locals alike. The younger ones in your group will enjoy exploring the playground & the live music everyone will enjoy.
Helen Back offers the best pizza on the Island. It is located on Amberjack Drive on the sound. You can pick up the pizza to go or enjoy the back patio overlooking the water.

During your stay in Ft. Walton Beach here are a few things that might interest you.
The Okaloosa Island Fishing Pier is nearby for a chance to catch dinner. The pier is 1262 feet long with an octagon at the end so everyone has plenty of room to fish. It's possible to catch fish as large as 100 lbs. here, what a great vacation story you would have if you did!! I enjoy the fishing pier for the great sunsets and Dolphin Watching.
Speaking of dolphins, make a point to visit the Gulfarium during your stay. You will have the opportunity to catch a dolphin show & visit all sorts of marine life such as seals, sea lions, sharks, alligators, penguins & more.
Head over to the boardwalk for a great game of volleyball. The beach is wonderful here & they also have lifeguards in this area. The kids will enjoy the playground in front of the Crab Trap Restaurant.

The Silver Sands Outlet Mall is a vacation in it’s own right for shoppers you will have access to over 100 stores, Polo Ralph Lauren, Banana Republic, Brooks Brothers, Eddie Bauer, Liz Claiborne, Tommy Hilfiger, Lenox, Nike and Reebok - just to name a few. When you need to pause for nourishment chose from Panera Bread, Cheeseburger in Paradise (they have a wonderful chicken salad here) or Carrabba's Italian Grill for dinner.
More great shopping is to had at the Destin Commons outdoor mall, Enjoy such great stores as Abercrombie & Fitch, Ann Taylor Loft, Banana Republic, Belk, Books-A-Million & Maui Nix Surf Shop to rattle off a few. Stop for a bite to eat at the Hard Rock Café, Panera Bread, Tony’s Ristorante or Sushi Siam. More than just shopping the Destin Commons Center Plaza offers a soft-play kids playground and a 49-head pop fountain. Community activities and entertainment are held through the year at Destin Commons . Rave Motion Pictures is also housed at Destin Commons to catch the latest releases.
Baytowne Wharf at Sandestin Golf & Beach Resorts offers wonderful dining and specialty stores as well as great festivals & events that are held at the Market Shops Green or the Center Plaza within the Village.
