Must say our time at Bella Vista was very very restful and peaceful. We much needed this time away and the convenience of location, amenities, and all the extras the house provided made our stay very comfortable and easy. We were amazed daily by the organization and comforts that were taken into consideration by Monica and Ed. We enjoy hiking in the area and eating out at several of the local restaurants. We LOVED our stay! Thank you Monica and Ed! Hope to return in the future!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you so much for such a glowing review Karen! We hope you'll come back again in the fall to enjoy the cooler weather and changing leaves! :o) ~ Monica and Ed

We came to Bella Vista for a long overdue time of relaxation and rejuvenation, that is exactly what we came away with. Monica and Ed have obviously put much thought, care, and preparation into their home as evidenced by the attention to all the details. Leading up to our stay Monica provided a great deal of information about their home, things to do, places to eat, etc. Also, during our stay, Monica was available for any questions we might have. We couldn't have asked for a better hostess! The views from the living room, deck and upstairs bedroom are both beautiful and amazing. It is a wonderful place to sit quietly and soak up the sounds of nature and just simply let yourself relax! My wife and I had a wonderful time together. The only thing we didn't like was leaving! Bella (Beautiful) Vista is indeed aptly named.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Tim and Teresa, Thank you for such a glowing review of Bella Vista! We are so glad you enjoyed your time and got to REEEEE-lax! That's the best part about being in the mountains! Monica and Ed

Our weather wasn't great with it being very cloudy and wet, but the scenery was still nice. We plugged in our iPhone into the stereo system and used the WIFI to play Pandora. Hanging out, cooking meals with all the needed spices and equipment at our fingertips, and playing cards made for a refreshing and wonderful weekend. The bed slept well and was nice to see the view out the big windows when we woke up. The shower was good and there were plenty of little helpful hints on things, such as how to get the WIFI on and set the temperature. We brought up food to make our meals and had some very nice meals. Everything was clean and tons of seating. The fireplace was easy to start and really nice to have on while we hung out in the den. I saw there was DirectTV and was excited, but turns out we never even turned on the TV. Had it been during football season, I'm sure I would have tried that out! I hope we can come back someday soon!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you for such a lovely review! We're glad you had a great time relaxing in the mountains! Hope you will come back and bring your friends again, perhaps in another season when the trees and flowers are in bloom and the hummingbirds are putting on their annual show! :o) Monica and Ed

What an amazing place!! This home was everything as described and more. The view was incredible. Even on the rainy day looking down on the clouds in the valley was breathtaking. The house itself was very well kept maintained and fully equipped. You can really tell the owners take great pleasure in the property as well as making sure the guests have a worry free time. Seeing all the wildlife was a plus as well. Can't wait to make another trip here in the spring, summer or fall!!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.
Owner response: Doug! Thank you so much for such a lovely review! We are so glad you enjoyed our home and although winter in the mountains is very nice, we do hope you'll come back when the view is even prettier and the hummingbirds are buzzing around! Thank you again! Monica and Ed

What a great place! The pictures do not do this place justice! The views are breathtaking and the home is VERY CLEAN, beautiful and well appointed. There is nothing you need here. Lots of hiking, beautiful scenery, waterfalls, water sports and shopping in the area and surrounding areas. Thank you so much Monica & Ed for sharing your home with others. We were able to enjoy some much needed quality time with our son. We appreciate all the special touches-cookies, tree lights on, etc....we can't wait to visit again! My wife and I were looking for a place to getaway for a few days and happened across Bella Vista. It was outstanding! A beautiful home, with a gorgeous view! Even though the fall colors had already faded, the view in itself is fabulous! Mountains, glimpse of the lake, the glitter of headlights on distance roads and the stars... oh my, the stars! Crane Creek Vineyards was a complimentary tasting in the package and it would have been worth paying for! And we did... lunch, 1/2 case of wine... :) Very friendly staff there, beautiful views, tasty lunch and GREAT local wine!! Monica - THANK YOU! You are a wonderful hostess, with your information packet, the ease of renting, the information in your home, your home in and of itself and the follow-up card was very thoughful!! Michael and CindyRecommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing.

First time visitors and we loved it. The cabin is very comfortable. The Best is the view. Absolutely gorgeous. Quiet and serene except for a barking dog once in awhile. The birds eat off the railing and have their own birdbath. A couple of mornings I was up with the roosters. No, they didn't wake me .... I was out on the deck. It is very well stocked with any type of appliance that you need. Loved it!!!!!!!!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: Ron & Jeaney, thank YOU for choosing Bella Vista! We're so glad you enjoyed your stay in our home and thank you for feeding and watering the birds! Hope you will come back and stay another time! ~ Monica and Ed

About the owner: We are a professional couple with no children, who love getting away to the peace and serenity of the mountains, and spending relaxing fun times with family and friends. Bella Vista is the perfect place for us to spend time with people we love & we feel blessed to be able to share it with others. Our home is our sanctuary and on 3.5 private acres, surrounded by natural beauty, it can't be beat. Songbirds, hummingbirds and wildlife are frequent visitors to our getaway retreat and when we're there, we feel so at peace and relaxed. We know you will too!
Why the Owner Chose Hiawassee:
We looked at homes on other lakes in both the Carolinas but when we saw the Lake Chatuge area, we immediately knew this was the lake for us! Surrounded by mountains, it was the most beautiful lake we had seen and there is so much to do in the immediate area. Our home is located on 3.5 private (mostly wooded) acres in a nice, quiet, high-end community, which we appreciate. We enjoy sharing our fabulous find with others and hope you'll love it as much as we do!
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
Our home is located on 3.5 wooded and private acres, yet it's easy to get to with any kind of vehicle. We have gorgeous views, lots of windows, and no visible neighbors. We are six miles from Hiawassee, 25 minutes from Crane Creek Winery and there is a lot to do in the area, including boat rental and other lake-related activities. Our home offers all the creature comforts of home in a beautiful mountain setting we know you'll love!
