Had a nice visit. Great place for those who what to get away from it all. AT is right around the corner. Hiking, biking and relaxing is what this place is for. If you are looking for lots of restaurants, shopping or entertainment, look elsewhere.

Had a great time. Close to Vogel State Park. Try to avoid the country store down the road though.

Proximity to the AT
Proximity to the AT
we chose this cabin because it was close to the AT! The information sheet the owner sent had great directions on how to reach the trail. We hiked nine miles from the cabin to Neel's Gap and got a pickup from our family. We enjoyed a great Italian dinner in Dahlonega at Piazza's on our way in, on a tip from the owner about local restaurants. We also hiked to Coosa Bald, Raven Cliffs Falls and at Vogel State Park we picked up a geocache. Next time, Slaughter Mountain is our goal, being one of ten Georgia peaks over 4000'. The beds were great, everything was clean, lots of supplies were provided. We didn't take out the canoe, BECAUSE THE GOVERNMENT WAS SHUT DOWN. That's on our list for the next trip too. Lake Winfield Scott would be a perfect place to paddle around.

We had a terrific visit. The accommodations were great. Six people were just fine for this cozy cabin. The outdoor fire pit allowed for some great downtime to review the days events. It was nice to have wifi connectivity. The owner was super responsive and no problems what-so-ever. We would definitely come back.

We stayed in Kays Cabin for a week. We had a fabulous time. There are so many things to do within an hours drive. The cabin is very comfortable and has all the amenities that you could possibly need. The area is absolutely beautiful. We saw lots of wildlife. went fishing in Coopers Creek, did white water rafting, zip lines, horseback riding, tubing and just relaxed. Thank you for opening your cabin up to us. We had a wonderful time :-)

Wonderful Holiday Weekend!
Wonderful Holiday Weekend!
We enjoyed our stay. It is more than the pictures and information described. Very clean and allot of upgrades. The firepit was very relaxing and peaceful. The front porach was wonderful. Rockers, swing and ceiling fans were great. We enjoyed sitting, reading and relaxing in the fresh air. We look forward to booking this cabin again. For a great get away, I would recommend Kay's Kabin.

My Brother and I stayed in Kay's Kabin for our annual fishing trip. The cabin is in a great location for trout fishing in Cooper's Creek and at Winfield Scott Lake. The cabin is really nice with comfortable beds and loads of upgrades such as granite countertops, heated bathroom floors and a great video library. We enjoyed feeding the pet trout in the pond and the firepit. The owners even provide a bottle of wine. We look forward to booking this cabin again. We highly recommend Kay's Kabin for your next mountain getaway.

Owner response: Glad you enjoyed your stay. Thank you.
The cabin seems relatively new and was beautifully designed. It was quiet and fairly secluded and made a great base for tooling around North Georgia for hiking and foliage viewing. There are two bedrooms with queen size beds, though the second bedroom is pretty much all bed - I would not want to spend more than a couple of days with that being my primary room. Other than that, we had a lovely stay and would definitely stay here again.

About the owner: My son Devon and I own Kays Kabin. We live in Chattanooga Tn. My late mother Kaye Perry bought this property in 1998. In Dec. 2007 we tore down the'old' cabin and had Rocky Mtn. Builders-Adam Gilreath and Chris Steele build this new one.I highley recommend them as they are my good friends now. We have a tile business so we were able to do lots of work ourselves. This is our 'Dream Cabin' that we visit at least once a month, with our family and friends. When I try to tell people about Suches, it's hard to put it into words. This place is special, the people are unbelievably friendly. Everyone who comes here loves it and wants to come back. We hope you will too. Thanks for your inquiry! Richard
