This Artistic Beach house was remodeled and refurnished in June 2008. filled with light, windows on three sides over looking greenery large redwood deck with big lawn backyard, high-end furniture's, appliances, lines, kitchen, new hardwood floors and fireplace and Jacuzzi bath .

Just 6 blocks to the beach, Soulful retreat in the heart of the hippest part of Santa Monica a lovely park, bike path, and a half block the other direction to great restaurants like Chinois on Main, the Urth Caffee, and to great shops in main st. The new Whole Foods Market is only few blocks away. There is 1 driveway parking plus 1 off-street parking.

free tennis courts are 6 blocks away, as is the toddler park, the dog park, and the famous Sunday farmer's market with kiddie horse rides. The house is in a wonderful quiet Ocean Park neighborhood, right behind main Street.

  • We stayed in October 2009, and loved the home and its location. Every other day we walked to the beach, Main Street, Venice Beach, the shopping mall or Big Dean's Cafe by the pier - our favourite! It was also a great base for driving up to Hollywood: Kirsten treated herself to a mind-blowing tattoo at LA Ink, and we all enjoyed dinner at Spago's. The house was lovely and homely, relaxing inside and out, with a great patio which we used for everything from breakfast to late night drinks. Thanks Pei and Alan for a great holiday!

  • We had a lovely stay here in April of this year. The house is lovely, comfortable and has lovely furnishings. The lounge is great, and has a great TV with loads of channels, important if you are staying in with your children of an evening! It is only a very short walk from Main St which was good. Loved the nearby Wholefoods! Great location for loads of restaurants, especialy the buritto stand around the corner, and Baby Blues BBQ on Lincoln! Our 2 young children had a great time running around the house and garden, we really loved it. I would say that there could be more kitchen utensils and some more wine glasses, but that is just a small piece of feedback. We had a great time here.

  • My family stayed in this charming little house for a week, and it was perfect! Very clean and comfortable. The location is ideal. We used it as our base to explore southern CA, and it is very convenient to the freeways (I-10 and I-405), but in a quiet area. It was great to return "home" each evening! We loved being able to walk or ride bikes to the beach, restaurants, and the grocery store. If we ever have the opportunity to come back to the area, we know where we'll stay!

  • What a wonderful location for a family vacation. My two young boys adored the backyard with ample room for running and catching footballs. The comfortable surroundings inside and out made living and lounging a pleasure. The close proximity to beach, shops, farmers market, pier and so much more made the week an absolute blast.   • My husband and I stayed at this quaint home most of November 2008, while my husband recovered from major surgery. If we were to need anything the owners were very accomodating. The home was clean and very cozy. It was furnished very nicely and supplied with everything you would need to go to the beach or even to go for a bike ride. I walked to the beach everyday which was only 6 blocks. Along the way, I saw nice restaurants, boutiques & coffee houses. On Sunday there is the best farmer's market, just a few blocks away. We look forward to staying again one day.

  • My family stayed in this lovely home in August of 2008, and we just loved it! The home is sparkling clean, with a charming interior and exterior! Whether you go to the beach, enjoy the chic restaurants and stores in the area, or just stay at the house enjoying a book in the beautiful garden/backyard....this one is hard to beat! The owners were SO nice and responsive. Not only did they provide us with a great list of restaurants that would cater to our needs, they dropped off toys and a wagon specifically for my 3 year old son to enjoy during our stay! And when I mistakenly left my jewelry case in their bathroom with very valuable heirloom pieces, they found it and Fed Ex'd it right back to me! I give this beach retreat experience 5 stars!
