Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Elk Trail Lodge was built as our vacation home and you will be able to feel how much hard work and love was put into making it an amazing mountain retreat.
As general contractors and custom home builders we paid special attention to the little details. It is an inviting and comfortable place to spend time with family and friends.
We are truly blessed to be able to share our mountain home with others and hope they respect it and enjoy it as they would their own.
The Unique Benefits of this Lodge
White Pass ski area doubled in size in 2011 and it's a wonderful family ski area with the best views of Mt Rainier in the state!

Spacious, pleasantly furnished, cozy lodge, with a beautiful kitchen! This property is perfect for a weekend retreat with the family. The game room was great for older children to play xbox, rockband, or kinect and the bedrooms were still nice and quiet. The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of utensils, cookware, and quality appliances. The sitting area in the kitchen and the bar stools at the island provided space for family and friends to gather while keeping the cook(s) company. The property owners were very accommodating and went out of their way to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. They were great hosts and easy to reach via phone or email as necessary. This lodge is worth the price and I would recommend it to other friends and family.
Owner response:Thanks for the kind words Cindy I know this was much needed family time with your children and parents. Your mom's thank you note and gift were very thoughtful. Your family is welcome at Elk Trail Lodge anytime. Blessings ~ Carie Lawrence

Wonderful Thanksgiving Family Get-Away

My family just returned from three wonderful days at Elk Trail Lodge. I stayed previously at the Elk Trail Cabin (same owners), with some girlfriends last August and had such a good experience that I wanted to return with my family (you can read my other review there) The Lodge had everything you could ask for for a family get together. We cooked a tasty Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday in the very well stocked kitchen. We enjoyed time together sitting in the great room with the fireplace and VERY comfortable furniture, and popped into the hot tub before AND after our meal! On Friday, we drove up to White Pass Ski area for a glorious day of snowboarding. The ski area is just a short 20 miles or so up the highway from the Lodge. What a nice ski area (we had never been there before) - the sun was shining, Mt. Rainier clear as a bell, fresh and dry snow, and no lift lines at all! Couldn't have been more perfect. We returned to the Lodge for another family meal and soaking in the hot tub! An end to a perfect day. Both the Lodge and Cabin are wonderful places to stay, and I will definitely return. As I said in the other review, the beds are extremely comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked, and everything is new and well cared for. The Lodge and Cabin are located in a very private area off the highway, with a security gate, large open lawn areas, and adjacent to a nice little river that you can walk to. The location is very close to the quaint town of Packwood, with grocery store, gas station, bakery, etc. Although I have never met the owners, I feel like they are friends. Carie is great to work with, and goes out of her way to make sure that your stay is outstanding (she even called shortly after we arrived to make sure that we knew how to work the TV remote, fans, etc.) Thank you Carie for another exceptional vacation get away. I would definitely recommend this property!!

Elk Trail Lodge - I'd Like to Live There!

This was my 4th stay at Elk Trail Lodge and every time I'm there I don't want to leave! I always think how nice it would be to live there. The accommodations are wonderful, better than any others I've stayed in. The lodge is decorated with an elk theme and has all the necessities you need for a wonderful get-away. My friends and I have enjoyed making an eating many a gourmet meal in the HUGE kitchen. It has all the necessary items you need from pots and pans to dishes - even a crock pot and built-in bread warmer. I couldn't ask for more. The location and views are outstanding and I love the stream that runs through the land - you can practically use a net to catch all the fish that run through in the fall, then cook it in the kitchen for dinner!
