Why the Owner Chose Bandon
We started renting our beach home in 2005 so others could share the enjoyment we receive when we stay at Spinnaker Cottage. It truly is a home away from home and very comfortable. We bought in this location because we like the neighborhood, paved quiet street, sidewalks, a little back from the wind (more protection), short easy level walk to the beach(no stairs), we could hear the ocean from the bedroom window and backyard, and the path takes you to the best beach in Bandon!
We strive to make our guests happy and we have many who return. Our Guest Book is filled with wonderful comments by previous guests.
The Unique Benefits at this House
We enjoy the miles of beach walking with our dog on the best beach in Bandon! It is always a new experience at the beach as the seasons change. The tide pools are the best I've seen on the West Coast. The many birds are exciting to watch seasonally. The cave is fun to explore. We love everything to do with the beach. The 3 lighthouses nearby are fun to visit too. We like to take many photographs as the scenery is so beautiful and ever changing. We take drives to find new trails to hike and places to explore. The Giant Redwoods are a day trip away. We have seen whales in Bandon and south of Bandon. Christmas time brings the beautiful light display at Shore Acres in the State Park in Charleston. We also enjoy the plays and music at the Theater in Bandon in the evenings. There is so much to do and see.

Spinnaker Cottage was a joy to spend a week in Bandon, Oregon. The house was larger than expected, very clean, well decorated, comfortable furniture and beds. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment. The five minute walk to the beach was great. If I plan another trip to Bandon, I will be staying at Spinnaker Cottage. The owner was very friendly and professional in all communications in dealing with the rental. If you love the beach and golf then Bandon is a great place to visit and Spinnaker Cottage is a terrific place to stay. Remember to bring your working shoes because the beaches at Bandon go on for miles and miles.

My daughter took me to this cottage for my birthday and I cried for joy when I arrived! It was just so nice, comfortable, easy to get around in the cottage and also to the beach. I am in my 80's and found the walk to the beach easy for me - no stairs. The beach was just beautiful and we could walk for a long time in either direction. We made our meals in the cottage and it had a big walk-in pantry where we could put all our groceries. It was also easy from the car to the kitchen with our groceries. The big screen TV was nice in the evenings. The owner was very nice to us. I want to go back again soon!

Stayed at Spinnaker Cottage with a friend and had a wonderful time! The location close to the beach at Bandon is just perfect. Very lovely, easy walk down to beach at Face Rock. The home was very comfortable, clean, light, and relaxing. No disappointments. A delightful Oregon beach get-away. You can tell this is a much loved get-away. Great restaurants nearby and the cute town of Bandon. Really can't be beat!

I have booked this rental several times. Each time I arrive it is very clean. The decor is so representative of the beach and very pleasant. It feels like my 'home away from home' each time I arrive. It is located in a quiet neighborhood and just a refreshing 5 minute walk to a gorgeous beach. Downtown Bandon is just a 5 minute drive. The owner has thought of many details that make one's stay so pleasant.

I have the Den/Futon room so my husband has a big screen TV to watch separate from the front room big screen TV because we enjoy different channels. It works great for us. When we have an extra person stay in the Den, I have never had a complaint/problem in the 5 years of renting. I do have a book full of wonderful reviews of Spinnaker Cottage from many people.

The house was very clean, and homey. I would return and recommend this place to friends and family. The only suggestion I have would be get rid of that futon. It is very uncomfortable. I would take the desk and that futon out and put a double bed in that room. If I do return I was planning on bring my own blow up bed to sleep on. Futon, bad news:( Other wise this was a wonderful place to stay and had a blast on the beach and all the shops.
