Fajardo condo description
This 28th floor condo has a spectacular ocean view with a few great beach islands in the horizon, from 20 minutes (Icaco island) to Culebra and Vieques (1:10 minutes in the Ferry). The gated community assures safety, with plenty of free parking. Feel the ocean breezes. See the manatees from your private balcony and across the marina you can see El Conquistador Hotel and Casino.
Get the best of both worlds, from the private balcony side there is an ocean and Marina view then when you step out the front door and you see the mountains (El Yunque Rain Forest)and the island itself. See everything closer with a telescope on the balcony.
Gated community w/ 24 hour security and plenty of free parking. New Furniture, Radio/cd, TV, High wireless Speed Internet WF & VCR/DVD. New stainless steel appliances. Olympic sized pool and kid pool overlooking the ocean. Private beach for the Dos Marinas community.
The best price offering in this location. Just bring your clothes.
From the ocean front balcony, you can see Icaco, Palomino and Palominito Islands. On a clear day you can see Vieques, Culebras and sometimes St. Thomas VI. Only about one hour drive to Old San Juan, 20 minutes drive to Luquillo Beach, 25 minutes drive to El Yunque, the tropical rain forest, 5 minutes to 'El Conquistador Hotel/Resort (golf, casino, nite club and restaurants). 8 minutes to the public 7 Seas Beach. I strongly recommend a catamaran trip (walking distance from the condo) to Icaco/Palomino Keys, food, drinks, snorkeling equipment and great music For $69.00 per person.

The title says it all, the view was breath taking. As soon as we walked in and looked outside and saw the beautiful ocean view, you were in heaven. One thing to take in mind is the elevator it might take you out of character but once you step into the condo and look out everything else goes right out the window. The kitchen was great everything you need is there, the sitting area is great, bathroom and towels. bedroom with the same view of the ocean you can't ask for anything else, secured entrance and large pool area and playground for the kids. One thing I hate that I did not get to do more is use the pool but once because we were always out. However once you were back in the condo you look out and saw the ocean and were able to sit back and relax and enjoy the view. Jose was great to talk to explained all there was to do while there cause your close to just about all the excursions and a great help can't wait to come back :) Thanks Annette C.

Very nice, well furnished condo. Clean and the listing photos were very accurate. Building felt very secure. View from the porch was amazing. The pool never had more than ten people in it. Everything was within a 5 minute drive. If their was one negative it would be that you do have to drive everywhere. Overall, very pleased!

It's like crashing at a friend's beach condo. The view is over the top and the marina offers so much within walking distance. rent a car, the drive is easy and quick; jump off to Culebra or Vieques (straight shot getting to the ferry from the condo and the main road. Great seafood in Las Croabas and Luquillo (10 minutes away). Access to the whole Northeast Corridor and more...Thanx again Jose for ensuring that everything went well... : )

Manager response: Hi Richard, I'm very happy that everything went great and you and your family enjoy the location and the view. My condo is great for a 55 and older couple or a just married honey mooners. As well as a small family of 4. Thanks again for your comments and as always I'll give you a frequent staying discount next time. Muchas gracias and happy vacations, Jose
We used this Condo for the second time. Great view and quiet place after a long day of work in the boat yard. Just right for 2 people with all the amenities you need.

Great place for the $

My fiance and I stayed here for 5 days and really enjoyed it. For this price you will not find a better view. We loved it here because it was a nice quiet place that we could spend time together and relax. The condo is supplied with many things you may need like dishes, wifi, etc that you might not find somewhere else. I noticed in some of the reviews that people mentioned the property being dated and some maintenance issues. I will say that if your a person that is looking for a resort than this might not be the place for you. Many of the condo buildings in PR are older but the owner has done a nice job of keeping the place up. Also, I did notice a few small things maintenance wise but it did not affect us in the slightest. I would definitely recommend this condo to others if they are looking for a nice relaxing place to stay with AMAZING views of the ocean. We cant wait to go back! I would suggest anyone staying in Puerto Rico either have a rental car or plan to take taxis. Although this rental is close to many things, you will still need to travel further than walking distance to get to alot of places. (Thats the case with anywhere you stay on the island) We had a rental car and were able to drive to the ferry dock and visit the beautiful islands of vieques and culebra. We also were able to visit the El Yunque rainforest, which was great.

Manager response: Hi Tiara, After a long reservation and planning on your vacation, I'm very happy that you and your fiancee had a great time. Every year I try to keep improving and make the condo a better place for my guess, so they can enjoy their vacation. My nephew Miguel, just took over the last manager who was not doing a good job caring for the condo. (Miguel will take care of anything that needs to be done, when needed).I'll do to the condo anything that will make my guess happy. Thank you very much for your kind words and hopefuly will see you and your fiancee again. Muchas gracias, Jose
First off, let me just explain my circumstances for staying here. My wife and I had originally booked a week long cruise out of San Juan, but one week ahead of time the cruise was cancelled and this had us scrambling for a plan B. Since it was last minute in March, most hotels were either booked up or were charging over $300 per night for a room. So I got on VRBO and found this place and thought it would give us an affordable, centrally located place that would allow us to go to Vieques, Culebra, and the Bioluminescent Bay. As my title states, our stay was just ok. First, the good. The owner Jose was very easy to get in touch with and gave us a fair price for being last minute. The condo community is gated and felt very safe, and was also located very close to the Ferry terminal, El Conquistador, El Yunque, and Luquillo. The view out of the condo windows was definitely amazing as the pictures show. Also, the owner has a flatscreen TV with cable, and fast internet which came in very handy, especially the few days that came along where it rained all afternoon long. Now the bad. We were disappointed in the balcony since it was more of a closed balcony with a couple of windows that slide open, instead of being an open balcony which is what we were assuming it would be. The cleanliness was just ok. Some places were pretty dusty, such as the ceiling fan. Also, some things were not working correctly; the bathroom sink did not drain correctly, a kitchen cabinet was broken, and one of the window cranks was broken. The condo building is definitely starting to show its age as another reviewer mentioned below. The condo pool was also broken during our stay so we did not get to use it. So overall, just OK. But to be fair, my wife and I agreed after our trip that we are more resort kind of people than condo people. We did get the opportunity to stay at the very nice hotel in the area our last night and were blown away. It is definitely more expensive than a condo, but it was much more of what we were looking for in a vacation and was just more relaxing for us. So in closing, if you are looking for a cheap place to stay along with a decent place to rest your head at the end of the night and are ok with having more of an "on your own" vacation, then I would definitely recommend this condo. However, if you are like my wife and I and are looking for a more luxurious, resort-style feel to your vacation, then book a hotel.

We made reservations for January 2012, and later had to cancel due to problems that accured. When I talked to the owner about our reservation, he said that he was sorry and would return the deposit I had made. The deposit was returned to me within a week. I did not expect all back, but thee is a honest man and returned all our deposit back. I hope he will accept another reservation from us next year.

great View- but dated property
great View- but dated property
The property offers great 28th floor views of the marinas and the Conquistador Waldorf Astoria Resort and of boat traffic heading east out of Fajardo. While the unit enjoyed a great view, the condition and offering was only okay- the bed is smallish and there were some repair items the owner needs to address at the unit prior to future rentals. The owner however, is fantastic as he made arrangements for us for an early arrival when there was a mix-up at our prior rental location- he was gracious and very accommodating. It should be noted that most or all owners struggle with the cleaning and repair of these vacation rentals- trying to find someone to clean and maintain these units from thousands of miles away can be a challenge. The condo project is about 35+ years old and is showing its age. This unit would rate between "Good" and "Excellent" were the owner to renovate and UPDATE the unit- since it does enjoy a good location. Speaking of location- I would recommend to all VRBO prospective renters to C L A R I F Y what "Close to everything" means. Close as in "walking distance" or close as in "rental car distance" should be determined before renting ANY place. We enjoyed our stay.

Manager response: Hi Vicky, Thank you for your comments on my condo. Sorry that you was not 100% satisfied. In respond to your review, don't know what you mean by the condition and offering that was ok. You was supposed to check in Dec. 31 at my condo, your email said that you needed to check in the 30 instead, because there was a mix-up with your landlord in Culebra. My manager Ruben made all the necesarry arrangements to clean the place ahead of time and took you and Scott to a Rental Car Co. in his car on his time. The bed is a Queen Size, new since Oct. 2011 (sorry if it was smallish for you). I don't have any struggles with the cleaning and repairs in my condo even though I live in the States. The needed repair was the ceiling living room fan that was not working, seems that the previous guest pulled the ceiling fan chain to hard and broked it, again there was no time to fixed it. How is the buiding showing his age?, management and maintenance are there every day to include 24 hour security. They clean the building every day to include the common areas and is being recently painted. I don't need to clarify what close to everything is because no where in my website this is mention. There is a cafeteria/restaurant/bakery, another restaurant, a liquor store, a grocerry store, snorkeling/scuba store, and the Marina and the Charter Catamarans. Every rental has a different owner in VRBO. can't speak for them, 99 % of my guest comes from the airport where they can rent a car not from Culebra in a Ferry. Thank you for enjoying my place. Jose
We spent 6 days in Puerto Rico before leaving for a 7 day cruise of the Southern Caribbean. We rented a car and arrived after dark. We were armed with a Garmin but it wouldn’t recognize the address. If it weren’t for Ruben coming to the rescue at a local Burger King we would be still circling Farjardo. He took the time to find us then guide us to Dos Marinas. The condo was comfortable and had everything one could possibly need away from home. Ruben said to contact him if we needed anything . Once daylight came we learned our way around and had a great time.

Ruben and myself thank you for everything and hopefuly we will hear from you again. Happy Holidays, Jose

This apartment was absolutely wonderful. I has great accomodations and not to mention a wonderful view of the ocean. The location of this place was close to about every tourist attraction we went to, but with a car. The place is very safe, it has a lot of protection, so there is no need to worry about that. It also has a very big pool which my kids enjoyed. We had an excellent vacation and I would recommend this place to anybody. I would like to thank Jose, the owner, for his kindness and letting us stay in his wonderful apartment. We would definitely come again

About: Hello! My name is Jose Taule. I am from San Juan, Puerto Rico, but have lived in Cincinnati, Ohio for 20+ years. I love my family, my fiancee Debra and her daughter and have a wonderful son and two beautiful granddaughters with whom I enjoy spending my leisure time with. I also am an avid golfer and love all sports, but especially baseball. I am also a real estate investor, a realtor, and a jewelry store owner. I have a BBA in Business Administration and service in the US Army as Military Police (1982-1988).
I bought this condo in Fajardo, Puerto Rico because it is one of the best areas in Puerto Rico to have a vacation w/its spectacular views, the rain forest and beautiful beaches. It also gives me a place to stay when I get the opportunity to go back to Puerto Rico and visit my family.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
My favorite things to do when I'm staying at my property is looking out at the view from my balcony and feeling the ocean breeze, going with my cousin, Miguel, on his boat to visit the islands and the pristine beaches, going to El Yunque Rainforest, day trips to Old San Juan, and the night life in San Juan and at the El Conquistador Resort and Casino. And, of course, visiting with my family!
