  The apartment exceeded our expectations in every way. The apartment was very clean and well appointed. The furniture appeared to be almost new. The kitchen was very well equipped with dinnerware, cookware and cooking utensils, etc. The linen, sheets, blankets, and towels were of very high quality and in ample supply. The hosts, Don and Carol, were very friendly and accommodating. The location of the apartment is great. It is only a short walk to the pier and Main Street. We would definitely like to return again.

  Loved the Bamboo Loft itself and it's location, Seal Beach, CA. The space was clean and welcoming when we arrived, it met or exceeded all the website descriptions. The listing photos did not do justice to the space, it is much larger than it appears in the photos. The owners were immediately available with information, and provided detailed maps and information about local services, restaurants, recreation, etc. The WIFI connection was easy to access and functioned better than the one I use at home. There were more than sufficient linens and bedding and all of the linens provided were of a very good quality. The kitchen was thoughtfully stocked, no last minute trips to the market were required. The location is excellent, you can be dipping your toes in the ocean within three minutes, tops! There are several blocks of restaurants, shops, the charming pier, all within a five to ten minute walk. We parked our car in the reserved space and did not move it until we were ready to drive home. Shopping, entertainment, dining and the ocean/pier within walking distance, now that is a vacation!

  The family and kids love going to the Loft, we have been going now for 3 years. We plan to go again this summer. The place is perfect for the family. We have nothing but good times with each trip and the cost is affordable. Highly recommend.

  The condo needs attention. I would emil the owner (he is nice) and make sure the following things are fixed. The cable remote for the 1 TV did not work. There isn't even a remote to work the DVR. The pillows are flat. We had to go out to buy dish soap, and coffee. The only coffee (instant) provided was over a year old and stuck to the bottom of the jar. There isn't a shower caddy, or fluffy towels. The condo isn't really steps to the sand.... you have to walk down the alley first and then there is a sand bar. (So don't expect to walk out and see waves crashing 20-30 steps away.) (We also some bad plumbing issues which I'm sure don't occur a lot, but flushing the toliet by hand was not fun.) For the record, we're not that picky. We stayed a similar condo in Seal right across from the pier and we could walk to the shops on main in 1 min. I feel like if they spent $100, they could make everything actually relaxing.

  We live in Seal Beach and needed a place to stay during our home remodel. Just a couple miles from our home is "The Bamboo Loft" and it was so worth it. Very accomodating for our family, including a toddler. Clean, and had all the amenities we needed for a couple months-Don and Carol were wonderful with meeting needs that came up. We were definitely spoiled by the location...seconds to the beach; minutes to the pier and Main Street. Made us appreciate Seal Beach even more. Would definitely keep in mind for out of town guests in the future.

  Walking into the Bamboo Loft, I noticed how bright, airy and cheerful it was. Cocktails on the deck each evening while catching the cooling and refreshing ocean breezes was a slice of heaven. We spent the whole month of August at Don and Carol's Bamboo Loft. Its location is ideal for exploring Old Town Seal Beach, and quite frankly, one does not even have to use the car for shopping, dining, swimming and entertainment since everything is within a few minutes' walk. The beach is actually a stone's throw from the house. Yet, if one wants to explore the area further, Disneyland is only 20 minutes away and Long Beach is just up the road. In fact, I even walked to Whole Foods in Long Beach one day for lunch and ate on the patio next to the store. The hosts are friendly, helpful, and respectful and go out of their way to make you feel at home. This place is definitely worth a repeat visit.

  The Bamboo Loft is the best value in Seal Beach. Don and Carol are excellent hosts and Carols garden provided the ingredients for some excellent salads. The "Loft" is a large one bedroom with great cross ventilation due to the many windows. There are "peek-a-boo" views of the water so you can just look out the window to know if the tide is in or out. The location is just far enough from downtown to make for a nice walk and enjoyable quieter evenings. Seal Beach has many great restaurants but our favorite would be The Crema Cafe. Our best outing recommendation is to walk to Los Alomitos Marina then take the catamaran water taxi to downtown Long Beach. Once there you can visit the Aquarium, the Queen Mary, and many other points of interest. During our stay we had many visitors and all commented on how comfortable the "Loft" is. We plan to stay again in 2013 and are so looking forward to it.

  We had a wonderful time at the loft. Being right on the beach gives the kids great opportunity for fun as well as easy walking access to the nice little downtown. This is our fifth stay at the loft and we plan to stay again.

  I had a wonderful few days at the Bamboo Loft this June. I think I wasn't their typical visitor as I spent much of my time away at a convention, and I have the sense that many people book longer periods of time to be by the shore. I was fortunate that they had my few days available between other bookings and could accommodate me. Pre arrival communications were great, I received a prompt response and negotiations were concluded easily, including dealing with a check that went astray before delivery to the owners. Shortly before arrival I received detailed arrival information, and the owners made it very easy by sending me an access code for the door, meaning I didn't need to coordinate arrival time with them. The owners live onsite in a separate house, and the unit is over the garage on the back side of the property. There are snippets of beach veiws from the windows, but the unit is one row of houses away from the beach. But, 30 seconds and your feet are in the sand. The place was completely as described, the separate bedroom was nice to have and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything necessary to prepare full meals and store tons of food, although my kitchen activities were limited to morning coffee. There were lots of towels inlcuding beach towels. The TV had a nice range of channels, and the internet was included and fast. Everything was neat, clean, and in great condition. Windows open on all four sides allowing cross breezes that kept the unit cool the entire time I was there. Parking is a bit interesting if you have a large vehicle. The rental company gave me a giant SUV and it fit in the space, but barely, a smaller car would be no problem. I have nothing bad to say about this rental, and I'd rent the unit again.
