Fantastic!

This condo is an incredible place to stay. We stayed 7 nights. The views were outstanding; the unit and all it's amenities truly made our stay most enjoyable. We were able to drive to all sides of the island and participate in a number of activities, and almost always be back in time to enjoy the sunset views from the lanai (allow for ample driving time - 45 minutes minimum to Lihue). The owners have done a nice job providing dvd's, a good sound system, pool table for entertainment, and 2 flat screen tv's. We would definitely stay here again.

A wonderful stay!

We stayed 8 nights at this beautiful condo, and it was wonderful! It is nicely furnished, updated, and also very comfortable. We spent a lot of time on the lanai, where we enjoyed our meals and whale watching. The view is beautiful from the lanai and also visible from most rooms inside. The kitchen is well equipped, and has everything you need to prepare meals. The kitchen and bathrooms are modern and nicely updated. The beds were very comfortable, and we were provided with plenty of nice fluffy towels. If you like to play pool, it is great to have a pool table right in the unit. The entertainment system is also very nice, and the owner has provided a huge selection of DVD's. The owners have gone way beyond average to make sure you are comfortable and have everything you need for a nice vacation. The Princeville area is beautiful, with plenty of things to do. We walked over to the St. Regis Princeville Hotel for a sunset cocktail, and watched the surfers in Hanalei Bay. It is just a short walk from the condo. Hideaways Beach, just below the condo, is beautiful and very private. The walk down to the beach is steep and a little scary, but well worth it. The owner is great with communication and returns all phone calls and emails promptly. I would definitely recommend this unit for a great vacation spot!

We has such a wonderful time at your lovely island home. This is one of many trips to the island and we have stayed at Puu Poa many times, but this trip and #306 topped them all. The view was spectacular and everything exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed sunset dinners on the lanai and were very impressed with the appointments in the kitchen. Every night we were lulled to sleep to gentle breezes and ocean surf and we awakened to the morning bird songs - and the roosters. The pool table, aquarium and movie library were a real plus! Mahalo Nui for your hospitality. We look forward to visiting again soon!

After staying in this condo - we have decided this is the ONLY place we want to stay on Kauai from now on! The condo is fabulously furnished - and with many extras you wouldn't expect in a rental: HUGE selection of DVD's, large selection of books, pool table, gourmet kitchen w/ many ingredients left for you to use (ie: spices, olive oil, etc). After long days of touring, snorkeling, hiking, exploring it was a treat to come back to the condo for our "martini hour" on the lanai followed by a great dinner prepared in the gourmet kitchen and a good movie or game of pool. For us the condo is perfectly located as we love its proximity to great snorkeling beaches, queen's bath, hiking trails, etc. I could go on about what we love to do on the island - but this is a condo review. And the condo is spectacular. You will not be disappointed staying here.

We were lucky to find this wonderful condo. It was as comfortable as a home and as beautiful as a luxury hotel. The view was unbeatable. The private beach down the hill was a wonderful place to swim and snorkel. Everything we wanted was available. Loved it.!

The condo was great. Everything which we had expected and more. For a family it works very well, giving you all enough room, and the games area was great, adding some further fun after returning from dinner. Can't wait to return and stay in this wonderful condo again. Best place I have stayed in my 4 visits to Kauai.

What a Kaua'i jewel and not a rough one at all!

Let me paint the picture we had going for us around December 14, 2008. We arrived in Kauai and checked out another property we were to stay in for December 29. That other facility had changed management and had stopped renovations and the units were extremely sub par. Because we had some health issues we were dealing with we needed to make sure we had a place that was up to par. So, we scrambled to find another location that could house us and make new reservations. Enter Stage Left...this Pu'u Poa unit via a pretty tight search criteria we had to run on the homeaway site. There were two properties basically that came up and we were fortunate to contact and be contacted back quickly by these owners (yes over the holiday season). Outside of being extremely informative about the unit and understanding of our need to jump on something quickly, they allowed us the opportunity to visit the facility and just confirm all was copacetic (sp?). The property manager was there and the owner was kind enough to give them a heads up that we were coming and allowed us to go and see the unit. It was a jewel. I kid you not. A real jewel. What the pictures show exactly was what I saw, and more! We confirmed our stay and looked forward to the 29th of December coming up. When we checked in the unit was immaculate and in great shape. We had been precontacted about one appliance glitch (easily accomodated by another simple approach..new appliance on the way). The unit is spectacular. The view astounding. The peace and quiet and friendliness of the owners and other vacationers and the property manager himself, was just the icing on the cake for us. We loved our stay. We are indeed coming back. Everything that they indicate is an amenity is one that we enjoyed and made use of...and let me say this clearly....You DO NOT need air conditioning. There are enough trade/cross winds passing through the unit that you are always left feeling cool. One evening I actually had to put a sweater and socks on. The owners show real care and concern for you and have thought of many things to make your stay feel like you are at home but more than at home. They definately offer great suggestions and feedback. You don't feel like you've rented and then are left stranded if you don't know the island or what to do. Everything was great. Best was the view, people, pool, location, comfort and the niceties: tv, audio, outdoor speakers, etc. Loved it, thanks.

Owner response:We are always pleased and hope that guests may appreciate our "home away from home" to experience the beauty and sanctity that Kauai and its Aloha spirit have to offer. Please join our select family of friends who experience Puu Poa 306. We believe that the experience will speak for itself and cannot be done justice with just photos. Our policy is to keep our home comfortable and well appointed to the highest standards for new and returning guests. Mahalo

All of our research to find the best place for our honeymoon has paid off! We cannot imagine a more beautiful place to stay. Mahalo! We were honored to share our honeymoon with all the humpback whales right off the lanai. We saw the best breach while were were playing pool. Hiking the NaPali coast to the waterfall was a once in a lifetime experience. We are really going to miss this place. P.S. A few minutes after we wrote this, a group of 40 or 50 dolphins gave us a nice show jumping out of the water & spinning....

Condo is great: Great view, great supplies, great furnishings, great location - not so great beds (owner comment - bed's have been improved). Try the zipline at back Country - it was great fun and the people are nice. Tubing was fun too. The grocery store at Princeville is the best & there is a post office nearby. check out the snorkeling just below the condo. We found it to be the best, but the climb down and back is tough. Pizzetta Pizza was unique and good, just don't get Lance for a waiter because he touches your food! Holo Holo charter was good, but if you don't like a long (4+ hrs) on the ocean ride skip it. Snorkeling was not good from boat. People were nice & we did get back at sunset "cue the sun!" Check out the combo golf at the two Princeville courses - pay both for $200. Golf at all locations was great. However, it is a bit far and the logistics of getting to the Southern courses (courses on the other end of island) was tough on the non golfers - not much time to do other things. For some budget golf, try Wailua. The course is scenic, but the holes are not that interesting - two bunkers guarding each green. There are no amenities! Bring you own drinking watr because the H2O on the course is warm and nasty. We went early and got right on - bring cash, they don't take VISA here. We checked out the shopping - if you want "Red Dirt" t-shirts, touristy stuff and high dollar "so-so" craft times fromTahiti, there is lots - con't come to Kauai for shopping. Hideaways beach has a paved walkway to beach - still steep (entrance at Pali Ke Kua). Do you want to want o swim with the turtles? An old grizzled local with walnut-colored skin said "snorkel beyond the reef: - best done at high tide - and there, out beyond where most swimmers go, are all sorts of sea turtles." We found it to be true! Parking can be a problem at this beautiful beach - a four wheel drive may come in handy. Not much can rival the sunsets from the lanai, or the sound of the ocean first thing in the morning with a cup of Kauai coffee. - look it up - you can't get this coffee any where else. REALLY enjoyed this great condo and all the amenities! Mahalo!! Food in our condo was the best - steak, pork chops, chicken, fish, fish kabob, drinks, snacks and more. Cost was great & not waiter to put a finger in our food! Golf at the Princeville course was much too hard for average golfers - don't waste the $. The vistas are nice, but the co

I enjoyed feeding the birds every morning and took the liberty of naming two of them. I called the male green and blue one Polly and my younger sister named the female Patty. My biggest regret was not getting a picture of them eating together! Thank you for letting us stay here! Well, getting in was difficult, but the place was just fabulous. I brought a tennis racket and we found tennis balls in the closet, but I never got around to playing. (It made me so mad!) Well, Now we must lave and packing is horrible. Maybe in a couple of years we will come back to Kauai and stay here again!

After spending a week on Maui to celebrate our parents 50th Wedding Anniversary, we opted to spend a week on Kauai. This is the most beautiful island, and this is the most incredible condo. The view and sound of ocean waves made it the best place to be. Of course since many family members staying here and next door at Pali Ke Kua were visiting Kaui for the first time, we had to show them some of the amazing things to do here - Waimea Canyon, NaPali Coast, Raft trip, Kipu Falls tree swing. Hanalei Bay was a favorite for boogey-boarding and the best snorkeling right below at Hidaways Beach. We took a journey to Poipu to the Beach House for dinner - excellent, but traffic through Kapa was extremely slow. Close by, we enjoyed Zelos for dinner and Hanalei Gourmet. Next time we return, we hope to stay here again and spend more time hanging out. Thanks for providing the ultimate vacation accommodations! It is by far the best place we have ever stayed. Mahalo! P.S. The boys loved the pool table and air hockey.

Thanks for this great condo! This is the best place we've ever stayed at in Kauai! We love it! It's our favorite island. Our friends live here & came over for dinner the night & loved it. They were ready to move in. There's nothing better than the sound & sight of the ocean! This place has it all! We'll definately be back to use this great place! Thanks again!

We had a great time staying in your beautiful condo. The Princeville area is the most scenic place on the island. We loved the condo, views of Bali Hai sunsets and playing a little pool at night. Thanks for letting us stay at your condo. We hope to come back soon! Aloha!

We spent 8 days at Pua Poa in 2003. We were lucky to experience the comfort of 306. The unit was both comfortable and lovely. It had many nice touches like surfboard rugs, hawaiian inspired bedding, hawaiian art, and interesting books. The unit was clean. The kitchen was newly remodeled with functioning appliances and granite countertops. The bathrooms were also clean and spacious. There was a DVD player that helped to keep the kids busy in between snorkeling, body-surfing, and swimming. And the other form of entertainment was a pool table. The adults and children both enjoyed many games of pool. We found Pua Poa to be a very relaxing experience. We like vacations that don't include lots of people jam packed into small spaces. The views from 306 were spectacular. We could actually see the reef from our lanai. We have been to Kauai several times and have stayed in other places. This is now our favorite. One of the best beaches is located below Pua Poa. You can snorkel in just a few feet of water, but you have to be able to make the walk down to Hideaways. This can be difficult for some, particularly in rainy weather. And speaking of weather, we had the absolute best weather ever. That contributed to the overall perfect experience of June 2003. We will definitely return to Pua Poa. "Published on Trip Advisor"

Thank you so much for your beautiful condo with the most spectacular view imaginable, matched only by the sounds of the crashing waves below. We had days of very high surf, a dramatic beauty of its own and several days of inundating rain. Eden, no, rain did not keep our son from surfing - he was possessed! As i emailed, this is by far the most comfortable and well-equipped condo we've ever stayed in. Thanks for your good taste and trust in your renters - Mahalo!

This has been a most wonderful vacation and your home was a cornerstone to our enjoyment! We got married at Limahuli Gardens and although it rained most of the day, at the time of the ceremony, the sun came out and it was beyond beautiful. Thank you for opening your home to us. We will be back! Best Snorkeling: Tunnels Beach -- 2nd best Hideaways right out front. With great thanks!

Lovely place to be! Never needed AC/ a breeze blew through the house the whole time we were here. Took a harry, but unbelievably fun boat trip from Hanalei Bay, snorkeled and picnicked. BIG SWELLS. Hiked off of Ke'e Beach. Wear hiking boots if you have them. The rain & mud made the rocks slippery - lovely beach 2 miles in. Best meals - actually were the ones that we maed here, in this well-equipped kitchen. Fresh produce that we purchased at the farmer's market. Fun scene. Hanalei beach is wonderful as is the beach right below via the path by parking lot and pool. We loved your condo. Thank you!
