The Unique Benefits at this House
Being able to walk accross the street to access the beach. Having one of the closest homes to access the most desirable part of the beach(Cape Kiwanda, tide pools etc.).Convenience of walking to restaurants, coffee shops and convenient stores. Having nice cape and ocean views. Our family loves making a fire at the end of a long day outside or stormy day inside. We had a very nice stay at this house and plan to go again on our next beach trip. The house was very comfortable and clean. The kids LOVED the ping pong table (so much we ended up getting our own for Christmas). The price seems very fair. That said, I think the location is what tops the house for me. The Pelican Pub across the street provided delicious food and beverages. And it's hard to top being a short, quiet walk from the beach with an awesome view of Cape Kiwanda. We all got great exercise climbing up the sand hill- where we got an even better view and photo opportunities. As for now, it will be our favorite coastal destination. .

This house is set up perfectly for two families and up to 2 kids per family. The floors and stairs are not squeeky! The ping pong table provides a lot of entertainment. The kitchen is kind of small and it is tight between the eating bar and table but overall a great place to stay with a comfy couch, chair and 1/2 and fireplace. You are close to all the action by Cape Kiwanda and can see surfers from the top level.

We had an excellent stay at this VRBO home for a Christmas Eve family get-together. While we cooked turkey and ham, family members walked the beach on a beautiful, bright, winter day. The home was well furnished, with a large room for dinner. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to cook dinner. We plan on returning in the summer for a family vacation.

The house was at perfect location- next to the Pelican Brewery, accross from the market, coffee shop, and just cross the street to the beach. The house was clean, well maintained, and had all the amenities. We had a wonderful time and will definitely come back.

My husband & I met our son & his wife at Pacific City, this year to kick off our vacation, we have never rented a vacation home before, even though we have been coming to Pacific City for 20 years. Using our Thousand Trails member- ship. No offense to TT but there is no comparison to the vacation home that Scott Hugging & his family makes available to rent.It is spacious, private & we immediately felt at home, we will all be back year after year. The beds are so comfortable & we tried as many restaurants in the area that we could, but next year we are going to also do some cooking in the complete kitchen availabe as well as some BBQ's, so get your time set before the dates are all going, the word is out about this great place. The Woodards, from Arizona.

Best Bargain Around!

Clean, great location!,exactly as advertised, generous amenities, everything works!, VERY reasonably priced. We are an older couple with two dogs. We travel a good deal. We aren't fancy but expect a property to be as advertised. We've stayed in many VRBO's around the world and this particular unit is among our top 3 properties ANYWHERE. No...it is not the most glamorous...however it is nicely appointed, the owners are VERY VERY generous with amentities, ex. kitchen, bath, laundry etc. It truly feels like you are staying in "their" home (and you are!). The fireplace was excellent, the view was good. Being able to walk right to the beach in seconds was fabulous. They even have a great "wash-off" shower situation outside so no need to track sand in the house. If you like nightlife, you're next door to the famous Pelican Brew Pub. Personally we were very comfortable staying in. If you are a techy...not to worry...the owners have provided EVERYTHING you could possibly need to keep you in touch...wifi, ipod dock, big screen t.v., dvd player, stereo. And then for some old fashioned fun you can get into the ping pong room. There are games, puzzles, and magazines. Do bring your own movies if you're into that sort of thing. All in all this is by far the best bargain we found in the entire area. It's a large home, very comfortable and oh did I mention the soaking tub? Old fashion claw foot tub! Very relaxing after a long hike on the beach. I give these folks "6 stars" not 5. Thanks to them for owning the property and making it available to others for use. We were grateful and absolutely plan to return. The couple from White Salmon, Washington :)

We had a wonderful time staying here with our dog. Just 1/2 block to Pelican Brew Pub and across the street from the beach. Nicely stocked kitchen (toaster oven and coffee grinder, plus the usuals.) Plenty of space. Fenced back yard for the dog's bed time potty break. View is mostly limited by the houses across the street but there is a view from the breakfast bar. We definitely plan to stay here again. Owner seems very nice and was easy to work with. Stairs are a little steep for mobility impaired people.

Great house, superb location just a few steps from the beach. Family friendly with bunk beds for the kids, books and toys. The fenced yard was great for the dogs. Close to restaurants and grocery store. Everything we wanted was in walking distance. I would recommend this house to other families.

My friend and I recently stayed two nights during the week in this house...and loved it!! The photos tell the story...the ping pong table was perfect for a little friendly competition, and the beach really is about 15 seconds away!! And how can you not run up the hill on the beach! It's an amazing view once at the top...and really fun to run down and back up again:). I have already showed this property to my family, and we are hoping to be able to use this house for a family get-away! This house was just perfect...and we have already talked about going back at some point...I would love to stay here again! How nice to just park the car and walk everywhere we needed to go!! Thank you so much! We had a great time...and I'm sure I'll be back! :)

My husband and I rented the home for 1-week and absolutely loved our stay. The home is comfortable and spacious. We could walk to a variety of amenities. The claw foot tub was the perfect treat after a long, cold walk on the beach. The king bed is extremely comfortable. We sat looking at the ocean for hours on end. The only thing that may be a problem are the trucks pulling in to the near-by restaurants very early in the mornings, so if you are a light sleeper, this may effect you, but we would honestly recommend the home to anyone and are planning our next visit already!
