Located on a quiet street in the center of Rome, this flat puts you within a 10 minute walk to most of the major sites. Located equidistance between Piazza Farnese/Campo di Fiore, Trastevere center, and the Vatican, our neighborhood is just outside the tourist hubbub. Since the 60's this has been the international artist community's base in Rome. There are numerous galleries and both former and current residents of some stature in the art world. The apartment is just across the Ponte Mazzini (bridge) from the centro storico and to the north of the main square in the Trastevere neighborhood, so there is no shortage of things to do within easy walking distance. But it is also surprisingly quiet and cool. There is little car traffic on this dead-end, cobblestone street.
The apartment is up two steep flights of stairs from the street. You enter into a long entrance hall that ends in a double sized living room with fireplace and a dining table for 8. The living room contains a sofa and 2 comfortable chairs. There are three bedrooms. The first is a master suite with queen-sized bed, and private bathroom with standing shower. The second has a queen-sized bed, and the last is a small bedroom with two twins. There is a second bathroom with shower and tub for the second and third bedrooms. The kitchen has plenty of work space, a new dishwasher, stove, and refrigerator. There is also a balcony with seasonal herbs. The best feature of this apartment is its full roof terrace. About 1000 square feet of private outdoor space, with shade at all times of day and plants that will bloom most of the summer. There is plenty of outdoor furniture for dining and lounging.
The flat is 2 flights up (3rd floor) with no elevator and includes a washer and dryer, 4 ceiling fans, some air-conditioning, and heat. All expenses are included. There is free outgoing long distance and wifi. Payement accepted through Paypal and credit cards.

We lived in this apartment permanently for 2 years and now use it periodically. It is a great neighborhood and very comfortable for our family of 5.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment
The place is large and airy. Our kids love the terrace when we don't feel like going anywhere. But it is also so close to the center, the sites, and activities, without being in the middle of all the tourist areas.

We took this apartment when we were living in Rome and running our tour company. We have since expanded and now live outside of Italy, but return often and use this apartment as our family's Italian base.
