Amazing Casa de Campo Villa

We stayed at Casa Abierta with a group of 15 over President's Weekend 2011 and had a fantastic time. The villa is beautiful and huge located in the best neighborhood and in close proximity to everything. It's like having your own private boutique hotel and I could not speak more highly of the staff. The meals and service were wonderful and any request was accommodated graciously. Gricelle (property manager) was a pleasure to work with and did a great job coordinating various activities for the group from transport to golf to groceries and drinks all in advance and throughout our stay. We will definitely be returning for future stays at Casa Abierta.

There were 18 people in our group and everyone loved the Villa and their room. All the bathrooms worked properly. It's a gorgeous Villa and the location can't be beat! I must admit, after reading a previous review about the the spa not working and a broken shower, I was a bit hesitant. Gricelle, my contact for the Villa, assured me everything was fixed. I took my chances and trusted her, thank goodness I did! Everything worked properly and everyone spent time in the spa & pool. We had NO PROBLEMS and the staff was professional, friendly, and helpful. Luz, the chef, is WONDERFUL! She made breakfast for all 18 of us each day and her dinners were AMAZING! Everything was served on time and the staff even served us drinks poolside. If that's not a perfect vacation, I don't know what is. They even got us fresh coconuts from the trees so we could have coconut water, yummm!! You need to request that, it's great! Our rooms were cleaned every morning and the Air conditioning works almost TOO WELL! The rooms can get COLD but most of the men in our group love it when their room is freezing, haha. The Villa is HUGE and we didn't get a chance to hang out in every living room (there's 3). They have IPOD hookups and speakers around the pool. It's the perfect place to have a party or event. There are 2 hammocks, a perfect way to relax by the pool and read a book. Internet works good. We didn't spend too much time inside the actual hotel at Casa de Campo, the villa had everything we needed and Luz's home-cooked meals kept us satisfied :)

We just spent a wonderful time in Casa de Campo, and the Villa, fullfilled the highest expectations. Fantastic location, luxirious accomodations, very professional staff, and beatiful architecture, make of this Villa a perfect place to enjoy all what Casa de Campo offers. Amazing Golf courses, white-sanded beaches, a world calss Marina, among many of the great attractions that you can enjoy with your fiend and family. HIGHLY RECCOMENDED!!

The house is different from all the rent houses I have ever been. The different levels and rest areas makes the house unique. You can share with the people you are with, but at the same time you can be by yourself in a different lounge, reading or even working in your lap top computer or iPad. Has a good wireless so work if necessary is easy. The house is very nice decorated and feels like home, the people that work in the house are very nice and always ready to help, serve or guide you around. The rooms are suites and the bathrooms and closets are spacious, not easy to find. The location within Casa de Campo is perfect, since you are close to the Marina, the Golf courses and all the other amenities that are there in Casa de Campo. The beach is walking distance. I have been to this house more than once and will be back soon. If you want to have a very nice stay, this house is complete, really I can't think of an average thing about the house, everything is excellent!

Yes, the Villa offers great common areas for the group to get together and share a emal, event or just to hang out BUT at the same type it gives enough privacy for individuals to stay in, rest, get a private massage in their rooms, watch a movie or work from their laptops with our high speed WIFI internet access. Christmas Vacation

We stayed in Bahia Minitas during the christmas holiday in 2010 and the house is layed out well with a pool and jacuzzi in the center. Casa de Campo is a beautiful place with great golf, tennis, beaches and activities for kids and adults. Unfortunately, this home we rented has an old electricity system and our child was lightly electricuted when they took a shower in one of the main rooms. When we reported it they tried to fix it and then told us that everything was fine. When we tested the shower i got an electric shock. We asked them to fix it again but we learned that they have an old electric system that is too expensive and dificult to change. As a result, our guests had to share a room. When we asked them to compensate us for the fact that we could not use one of the 2 large main rooms we had rented they refused to compensate us in any way. The staff at the home are very nice and accomidating people but unfortunately the home is too dangerous for us due to the old electrical system.

Recommended for:

Wonderful house.

A wonderful house in a magnificent location which is only made better by the quality of its staff. Stayed there twice for a golf outing and not only is the golf great, but the idea of returning to the house in the afternoon to enjoy its amenities made the whole experience even better The layout of the house is such that allowis for different groups and individuals to enjoy the house and its alternatives without inconveniencing each other. Would not hesitate to recommend the house to families and individuals looking for a luxury vacation setting, while being attended by some of the friendliest and efficient staff that I have met.

I have stayed at this Grand Villa and the experience has been delightful. The description is accurate, the advertised appearance matches the tasteful and convenient arquitecture, the cleanliness and the detailed and proper maintenance. The benefits sought are exceeded and without hesitation I will return and will recommend to friends and familiy this superior and private Villa, within the estimulating environment of Casa de Campo, its marina, its best-delicatessen retail outlet, various restaurants and famous Golf Courses among other sports and leisure activities.

Owner response:Thank you so much for choosing our Villa and yes we did have an issue while your party was staying at our property but fortunately, it was fixed a year and a half ago. There was an issue with the water heater on Bedroom #1 hence creating a problem with the shower. We called Hotline of Costasur Emergency Services and as temporary fix while we could contact our licensed technician, he shut down the water heater for that specific bathroom which was causing the problem. The problem with the water heater and shower were completely fixed the next day by our licensed technician. Because there were still complaints from some of the guests staying in Bedroom #1, we decided to switch the guests of that particular bedroom to a completely different vacant bedroom within our Villa (we have a total of 10 bedrooms) for the remainder of your stay. We have had zero complaints from that bathroom, water heater and electric system at the Villa since that incident a year and a half ago. We have passed all annual property inspections with flying colors. Again, we appreciate your honesty and we definitely appreciate all guest input so we can offer the best services and Casa de Campo experience to our wonderful guests!
