Whatever your poison, La Conner and the surrounding areas offer endless possibilities.

The cabin is located across the famed Rainbow Bridge on Fidalgo Island and just minutes from the quaint waterfront village of La Conner as well as Anacortes, gateway to the San Juan Islands. The cabin sits on an elevated location with stunning views of Skagit Bay, Whidbey Island, and the Olympic Mountains. In keeping with its natural surroundings, the cabin is distinctively furnished in a style that gives it a comfortable, rustic quality.
The master bedroom features a king size bed and the second bedroom features one queen over queen log bunk bed. There is an additional queen mattress in the loft. Our family spent five weeks in this waterfront cabin over the summer. We loved it! It's an ideal getaway. The beds are comfy and warm. The heat works great, but if you prefer blankets, there's a chest of extra quilts in the bedroom. The kitchen is spacious and stocked with every utensil, appliance and amenity one could need. Native American art and rustic cabin decor add to the cozy ambiance. The view...water, water, islands and more water. The beach is just steps down from the house. Our kids enjoyed collecting shells, skipping rocks and picking blackberries while we put up our feet, enjoyed some Washington wine and watched the tide come in. In the evening we turned on the gas fireplace, played board games and watched movies. It's just a quick drive down the road to some excellent dining and shopping in lovely La Conner. There's a book with answers to common questions about the house, but if you need anything, just call the owner. She's incredibly friendly and helpful.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We had a good time at the Sunset Beach House! It was very clean, comfortable beds and a wonderful view! There was a good choice of music, with a good sound system. Our lap top worked instantly with the wireless internet. Our teenage sons had a good time on the beach. This is a home I would recommend to stay at!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

We enjoyed our stay at the Sunset Beach House. Wall to wall windows facing the bay to watch sunrise and sunset, tide changes and the birds. There was a bald eagle every morning roosting on the little island and one morning there was 2. The view was endless from Mt Eire to the Olympics but is probly hard to repeat as there was seldom a cloud. The cabin was very clean and very nicely furnished. There was everything from childrens toys to coffee grinder to gas grill.to cards (really the list was endless, everything, but we did bring our binoculars to see the eagle). It was fun to walk the street and see the other cabins/homes and to walk along the beach (watch the last step) during lower tides. It was close to LaConner and Anacortes was just down the road. Erin was very helpfull and had a spare key at the ready when I locked the key inside. Erin has obviously spent alot of thought to have everything you could want in a LaConner/Puget Sound getaway cabin retreat.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.

Thank you Erin for having a beautiful little hide out. We fell in love with the cabin. Our only down fall was that the last week of July 2009 the State of Washington had a record heat wave, but that had nothing to do with the cabin. I hope someday I am able to bring my husband and son to your slice of heaven that my daughter and I were able to enjoy. Best regards....Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers.

Our group of college friends had a wonderful stay here during a friend's wedding in July 2009. The house is beautiful and very comfortable, the scenery is spectacular, and everything you could possibly need is provided - from kid's toys to electronics to S'mores ingredients! This is a beautiful corner of Washington and staying here just made our trip that much more special. The Sunset Beach House is a real gem!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

The Sunset Beach house was a beautiful place to spend a week. The house was very accomodating to our group. It had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The view was spectacular! I just wish I could have gotten my elderly parents down to the waterside. The steps were just too steep for them to manage. But to spend an evening by the outdoor fireplace, watch the bald eagles fly by, listen to the birds chirp, what a relaxing atmosphere. Wish we could have stayed longer!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We found it to be the perfect little get away; just the place to go if you’d like to rest and unwind. Cabin has tons of character and is very comfortable and well equipped (including wireless internet if you must…smile). Kitchen has everything you need and more. Comfortable beds. Very quiet and private location. Beautiful views, lots of windows. We’d go back again!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0
