  Six of us girls came to unwind after our 50 year high school reunion. We had been once before a couple of years ago and were eager to return. The house is exceptionally well-located, steps from a gorgeous stretch of beach. We enjoyed the ocean views from the house, our early morning walks and the spectacular evening sunsets. There is an oceanfront cafe, Woody's, which is perfectly located for sipping morning coffee while watching the early morning surfers. This visit we found a couple of wonderful restaurants within walking distance of the house. We enjoyed The Mission for brunch and had an unexpectedly wonderful dinner at Narriya. As for the house, we especially appreciated the three spotlessly clean bathrooms. The beds are comfortable and easily accomodated all six of us. The kitchen is large enough for us to collaborate on group suppers. Two Priuses easily fit into the garage. Our guest had no problem parking on Mission Blvd. We had a great time and eagerly look forward to our next visit.

  Our family of six adults truly enjoyed our four nights in this lovely home near the beach. All was as described in the advertisement and photos. Exactly what we wanted and needed! Easy access to the beach, restaurants and t-shirt shops. Owner extremely helpful; Sea World and Lamplight district very close. Highly recommend Nick's, The Firehouse and as an Iowa Hawkeye fan, don't miss the PB Alehouse!

  My family and I stayed in this lovely property over the Thanksgiving holiday week. It is close enough to the beach and the walkway to not need a car, but far enough from the beach to still enjoy some privacy and quiet. It is about 1/2 of a regular city block from the beach. The house was fully equipped for a holiday meal and was immaculate. The owner was awesome to work with. We would recommend this house for families or for three couples. The three levels of the house allowed privacy when we needed quiet time but we enjoyed the combo family/dining room for watching TV and playing board games. Fantastic space. We had an awesome time!!

  My family had the most wonderful week staying at this truly lovely vacation home. Every amenity that we could have possibly needed was provided and accessible. This was the ideal location for our vacation as we had 2 families (4 adults, 4 kids ages 1-10) staying together. There was ample room to spread out, relax, and never once did we feel crowded. The location was ideal. We enjoyed walks and playing on both the bay side and the surf side. The grocery was easy walking distance. We thoroughly enjoyed BBQs on the patio and dining around the awesome dining table. We ate most meals at the house, but there are also many restaurants within easy walking distance. Seaworld extremely close, we were even able to see the fireworks from the top balcony. Thank you Janet for your hospitality, quick response to emails. You are extremely professional and welcoming. This was truly a wonderful vacation rental experience for us. We loved looking at the photo album that shows how the house has changed and grown over the years! We most certainly hope to return in the future.

  We've just returned from a great weekend at the beach. We ended up being a group of 9 people staying in the house for a wedding/birthday weekend. It was just perfect. I felt like I was at my own house. It has everything you need for a big group of people, enough space for everyone to feel at home, great outdoor area, and major plus having a two car garage.The best part was it is exactly as the posting lists it, so there were no surprises at all. The house is really nice, with updated appliances, nice floors, lots of bathrooms, which was a plus for 4 girls getting ready to go to a wedding. I will definitely come back! Janet was super sweet to work with, she answered all of my questions, even as we arrived and had more questions she was quick to answer. I will definitely recommend this house to anyone who is looking to stay in San Diego.

  We LOVED this beach house. Owners have thought of everything you would want if it was your own house. (They were also great to work with.) So many items were provided to use in the house- beach chairs, boogie boards, bikes, lists for restaurants, membership to grocery store, etc. The beach location is perfect- in the swim zone but near surfing. Even in mid-summer we felt like the beach wasn't very crowded. We booked for 2011 as soon as we returned home. :)

  This house is perfect. We had three generations staying together. It was great to have three floors where we could all get our alone time, yet gather in the kitchen for meals and conversation. The owners have thought of everything when preparing this home for others. Everything we could have wanted or needed was there. Never once did I say, "I wish I had...". The owner, Janet, was always helpful and attentive to any and all questions that I had. This is a wonderful home that we would all love to stay in again. Oh and the location, you can't beat it. A few houses to the beach, walk to Ralph's, tons of restaurants and dolphins swimming around the pier. You could tell from the guest books, pictures and poems around the house that this is not just another rental. These owners care about their home and want you to feel at home. And we did! Thank you!

  My family just returned from a week's stay at this LOVELY beach home. This was our fifteenth year to vacation in Mission Beach and I had to find a new place on short notice because the owners of our previous rental had decided to move into their beach home permanently. I have to say that this was the BEST choice we could have possibly made and turned out to be a blessing that we had to "switch" locations. The home was light, bright and airy with LOTS of windows that had all been washed prior to our arrival, nicely appointed furnishings and an absolutely gorgeous kitchen! I also appreciated having the bedrooms located on three different levels and each with a FULL bath. The owner and I actually became friends during the course of my rental inquiries and actual stay and she was very attentive to all our needs. Without hesitation I would recommend this house for a family vacation!

  This was a perfect house for our group (4 adults and 4 kids, aged 7-11). The house itself was very comfortable, with nice modern appliances, good beds, etc. The design of the house made it possible for us to all get together in the family/dining room when we wanted togetherness, but we could also divide into small groups on the 3 different floors of the house when people wanted some privacy. The location was perfect: Close to all of the restaurants and shops of Pacific Beach, but still within the less hectic Mission Beach area. Close to both the ocean and the bay. Highly recommended!

  We just completed over a week at this house and it is wonderful. Very clean, well laid out, comfortable and SO NEAR the beach! Weather OK, but plenty to do and don't miss the mega large swimming pool at the Plunge. Everything very well organized and even labeled for renting and house is well equipped.
