Tucked away on a quiet street, away from all the crazy traffic, yet close to the beach.
Walk to local restaurants, close to Old Orchard, Biddeford Pool, shopping outlets and theme parks. The 7 mile beach is only a short walk from cottage (approx 900 feet). Relax on the deck that is set on a peaceful street that is home for some historic cottages dating back into the 1800's.
View the tidal marsh at high tide right from the 2nd floor balcony. Enjoy the spectacular sunsets. Fully equipped kitchen makes meals easy to prepare, cook and clean. 1 couch and 2 chairs are in the living room to sit and watch a movie in the evening or walk to 1 of 3 restaurants.
3 spacious bedrooms upstairs with pillow-top mattresses make resting for your next day easy. There are 2 queen beds and 1 bunk bed (bunk bed has 1 full mattress and 1 twin).
Newly added 160 sq ft Dining room with table for 6. Also includes color tv/dvd/cable in the room for late night card and game playing.
The beach remains uncrowded all season with plenty of room for relaxing or building sand castles. Find many treasures while walking from sea glass to starfish and sand dollars. You may even spot a harbor seal nearby. A short walking distance from the beach will bring you to a mile long rock jetty for fishing and sunset pictures.
3 minute drive to Old Orchard Beach with many shops and an amusement park. 10 to 15 minute drive to 2 theme parks such as Fun Town Splash Town. Drive-in movie theater, daily flea markets, shops and restaurants. New balcony has been added on 2nd floor for better view of Village and salt marsh.

Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 2002
John and Roxanne. A couple that loves to get away to our special place in Maine. We try to make our cottage as comfortable as we can for our guests, as we stay here a lot as well.
Why the Owner Chose Saco
Camp Ellis is a bit like an old Village going back into the olden days. There is basically only 1 road into the village that ends up circling around the village and back out. There are about 80 cottages in this area. quite a few are still the old lobster and fishermen that have been here for decades.
We wanted a place were we could bring our children every summer. They can walk the area with little worry of traffic. They can go to the general store and get an ice cream cone, go crabbing off the jetty or look for sand dollars at low tide.
we couldnt have found a better place in Maine near a beach to raise our family.
Very quiet area in relationship to others like Wells and Ogunquit. 50 people on the beach in the summertime during the week is considered crowded.
The Unique Benefits of this Cottage
A nice dead end street, that gets little traffic, yet 900 feet from the beach. our balcony offers a nice place to enjoy a cool refreshment during sunsets in the summer.
A small yard if you bring your dog so they can go to the bathroom. Other places maybe closer to the beach and allow a pet, but there is no place for them to go to the bathroom

We had a wonderful stay at this 3 BR cottage! The place was clean and well stocked with every kind of kitchen utensil, bowl, etc. The owner was responsive to emails. The location was just a couple of blocks from a nice, quiet beach and a few little restaurants. Saco is not far away (driving) for groceries and the like. Provides a good base for visiting Portland, ME or Portsmouth, NH. Our toddler loved her fish-themed room and talked about it for months afterwards. We all remember our time in Camp Ellis fondly!
Owner response:Thanks very much, we have had many nice comments about how nice and quiet our street is, yet still close to the ocean. Also a very family friendly area with much to do in a short distance
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.
