Our stay at the Willis Retreat was GREAT! It is a very beautiful, private, well maintained property with easy access. The cabin was very nice, comfortable, very clean. Alot of attention to decor for a cozy cabin ambience, including the great "fish" lights that were on a timer to come on every evening! The deck off the living room has awsome views. Antero Reservoir forr fishing and Breckenridge were relatively short drives. South Park Bowling is home to Dorothy's Tamales which were featured on "The Best Thing I Ever Ate" on the Food Network. There is an information book in the cabin which details how to operate everything, i.e. Jacuzzi, wood burning stove and the owner contacted us on arrival to welcome us and answer any questions we might have had regarding the cabin. He was a great host! We can't wait to return!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I contacted Randy at the last minute. I was desperate to get away from the corporate grind and renew my spirit. Willis Retreat was everything I had hoped it would be. I felt like I was staying at a friend's place. We had all the comforts of home and absolutely no distractions. It was much more than we had hoped for and we are making plans to go back within the next few weeks. All you need to bring is a few clothes, a little food and your favorite beverage. This place is perfect.Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

From start to finish our experience at the Willis Retreat was fantastic. Randy was incredibly easy to work with and very informative. It snowed the night we arrived, and he had the driveway plowed for us! We were able to ski nearby and relax in the hot tub when we came back. The home was clean, private and beautifully furnished. Our dogs were welcome and had a safe backyard to play in. The children enjoyed having a WII to play with while the parents rested! We had a truly wonderful experience and would love to stay there again. Thank you for opening your home to visitors, it really was great. We all highly recommend the Willis Retreat.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This house and property is beautiful! Couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay. They provide everything you could possibly need. The owners are so nice and easy to work with. I highly recommend this place. One morning we woke up to two elks in the back yard. So neat! We went during Spring Break, so there was still a lot of snow on the ground. I imagine it's just as beautiful in the Spring and Summer.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The home is lovely and I miss it already. This is a place I'd love to go back to during all seasons, can't wait to see the fall colors from the amazing deck. The property owners are extremely accommodating to people with pets. We brought our dogs who had a great time, it was so nice to have a fenced yard. We took a great walk on the property and had some excellent birdwatching opportunities too. The fireplace is awesome and functional, provides great heat. The home is cozy and appropriate for families or couples and the fish string lights create perfect ambience. I feel like we stayed at a friend's house, you really feel how much the owner's love this property. And now we do too!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Our party thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Willis Retreat. The rustic home had more than enough room to accommodate our 3 adults and 2 children. The kids had a wonderful time playing in the snow and using the sleds that were provided while the adults spent time in the hot tub soaking after a long day at the slopes. The game room was an added bonus as it was perfect for the kids to play video games or watch movies...instant entertainment. We spent each morning and evening making meals in the wonderfully appointed kitchen. We travel much so it was refreshing to not have to go and by items like paper towels, coffee filters, spices, etc. The fireplace was also a perfect end to the evening. We spoke with several skiers regarding their accommodations in Breckenridge and nothing sounded as relaxing and perfect as the Willis Retreat. We did have to drive into town to ski, but the peace and quiet in the mornings and evenings was well worth it. I would highly recommend the Willis Retreat to anyone headed skiing or just to enjoy the beautiful scenery all year.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I rented this place over New Year's when my family came to visit from abroad. It was a great decision. The Willis Retreat offered everything we would need - and even more. In addition, the location is great for skiing and outdoor activities, and we enjoyed being closer to the charming Fairplay instead of the more fancy Breckenridge. The hosts at The Willis Retreat were very professional and followed us up before, during and after the stay. Overall, I would highly recommend The Willis Retreat to any family or group of friends for a stay in the mountains.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

I was looking for a place for a romantic getaway, and this place fit the bill perfectly. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the fireplace in the living room was great for both the heat, and the mood. When we first arrived I was concerned about the place seeming to be in a neighborhood, but we didn't see or hear a soul all weekend. Sitting out on the back deck, or in the hot tub and just enjoying the view was extremely relaxing. Everything was in perfect working order, and the instructions on how everything worked we're clear and helpful. The entire experience was perfect from start to finish. The place would also be great for families, because of the cool little game room (yes, we played some video games too!). We will certainly return.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Thank you very much for the kind words about the property. I understand your initial concern with regard to the cabin being in a neighborhood or subdivision near Fairplay and that you may not get the privacy you're looking for. Virtually all vacation rental homes in the South Park area are in similar types of subdivisions so your privacy depends on your location and proximity to the neighbors. As you indicated, our property is very private due to its location, plus all the surrounding properties are on 3-10 acres which provides plenty of elbow room. We actually have over 11 acres up there so privacy is not an issue! Thanks again, Randy

The Willis Retreat is truly a haven of relaxation. Even with a teenage boy, a tween girl, and a very energetic dog, we were able to enjoy the peace and quiet of the cabin and its surroundings. The retreat's proximity to Breckenridge/Frisco/Dillon was perfect...just far enough that it seemed like an outing, but close enough that you weren't in the car forever. The cabin itself was immaculate, with all of the amenities you could ask for. We had time to get to know each other as a family again in this hustle and bustle world. We will definitely be back to the Willis Retreat!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, pet owners, sightseeing.

I have been hunting every year for over 30 years and have rented different cabins. The Willis Retreat is the best ever. The retreat was clean, easy to find, has all the amenities ie: modern appliances, totally equipped with everything you can imagine plus more, spacious, great ambiance from the decor and rustic furnishings, great location for hiking, and just plain enjoying the great views from the large deck. I saved the best for last, I really loved the outdoor hot tub after a day of hunting and climbing mountains. Don"t forget your only 10 minutes max from Fairplay shopping and dining. Randy Willis is a great guy, considerate and accomodating of his guests. We plan another stay during next year's hunt.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We have stayed at many HomeAway properties over the last 10 years from the Glacier National Park area to Buena Vista, CO,, Estes Park, CO., etc. The Willis Retreat is the best we have experienced. We were especially impressed with the special attention displayed by Randy, the owner. He communicated with us a few days prior to our arrival to be sure all was on schedule and to answer any last minute questions we had and called after we arrived to be sure all was in order. As a former hotel executive I can tell you this is a difference maker. The cabin and grounds were exceptionally clean and very well appointed. We took advantage of everything from the hot tub and horseshoe pit to just sitting on the deck reading and playing games or just enjoying the serenity and privacy. We just came to relax and there is no better place. We did take a nice drive over Boreas Pass which was very enjoyable even though there was a thunderstorm. If you are into adventure and recreation this is a great place to be. You are a relative short distance from whatever your interests are during all seasons. I highly recommend The Willis Retreat for a wonderful weekend getaway or longer. You will not be disappointed.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Our summer stay at the Willis family cabin was wonderful. The cabin is extremely well maintained with a fantastic layout. The property is quiet and secluded with a variety of options for sitting and relaxing, both outside and inside. There are numerous activities to do in the area, lots of sightseeing and opportunities for some great photography. We were there primarily to ride our UTV on the various trails in the area. One of our favorites is Mosquito Pass. It is well worth seeing and can be accessed with SUV's as well or can be hiked. There are also great trails very close to the cabin located within the Pike National Forest. Cripple Creek is a great town to visit with good food, casinos, and there is a narrow gauge steam train ride that winds through the mountain while the engineer provides the history of the mining that was and still is done in the area. Fairplay is an interesting old mining town and South Park is worth seeing. There are some really nice art shops as well. Our dog also loved the cabin and surrounding area. All in all it was a great trip and we are definitely considering returning for a second stay!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

The Willis Retreat was the perfect place for our family vacation!!! Location was great! Quiet town but not far from places to go hiking, sightseeing and rafting. The retreat had everything we needed. All we had to do was buy groceries. The kitchen was totally equipped with appliances etc. There were also many spices in the cupboard as well as condiments in the fridge. We enjoyed playing horseshoes, playing many of the board games that they had as well as movies. We also enjoyed the hot tub after hiking each day! The retreat was very clean!!!! The owner even called us the evening we arrived to make sure everything was okay and if we had any questions. We woke up early one morning and saw a bear coming up the hill in the back yard!!! We also appreciated the fact that the property is pet friendly with a fenced area and we didn't have to pay extra like other places! This will be our first place to stay when we return to Colorado for another vacation!!! Can't say enough good things about this place!!! Before selecting this property, I had search numerous others and so thankful we stayed here!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

When I looked at this location on Google Earth, I was a little skeptical considering how close this property is to town. Indeed the location is private and peacefull. The cabin is placed away from neighboring homes in all directions. Clearly thought has been given to make this a nice get-away as well as a well equipped base camp for day trips. We did find ourselves wishing we had a view of the mountains but the woods and privacy made up for it. Be aware that all bedrooms and bathrooms are on the lower floor (below the great room) and they are not standard rise/run. While this makes for a fantastic common area upstairs, anyone with stair issues would not be happy there. Everyone else would be fine. The game room is the ultimate place for your teenagers to get away (or get them away) from the adults but remain safely nearby. An excellent value.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thanks for the kind review, folks. I agree with your comments regarding the stairs in the cabin, that's why we include a walk-through video of the cabin interior on all our websites that support videos. I also agree that it would be nice if we had better mountain views from the cabin instead of the 'peaceful little valley' in the backyard. However, we recently purchase several acres that are just a 5 minute walk from the cabin and there are outstanding mountain views on that property. All of our guests are welcome to enjoy that land and the mountain views there, and soon we'll be constructing a gazebo where you can enjoy the views even more. Thanks again for being our guests!

A colleague at work had recommended this Cabin to us and all I can say is this is by far the nicest place we have ever stayed.. We have rented from many places from Salida up the valley to Fairplay over the last 12 years and nothing comes close to this Cabin in terms of location, price and all the amenities! Our entire family enjoyed our stay, the fresh air, the views, the silence, the comfort, it's just a nice as you will ever find! You are close to town and yet you are close to the national forest as well. The Cabin is very family friendly and very comfortable!! The Cabin was very clean, in order, and everything was easy to find, use and I can't think of anything that we needed while we were there!!! Our family really enjoyed our visit this last week and everything was in perfect order, Randy is the most attentive owner I have ever met, along with the nicest and there is no doubt that we will be back to rent this place again!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Randy was very easy to work with. He emailed us a week prior to our stay with further directions/or if we had any questions, called the first night we were there to make sure everything was as expected, and when we had a question just prior to leaving promptly replied. He was also prompt in returning our security deposit. The location of the home was perfect for us.Our adult children live in the Denver area while we are on the Western Slope, so it was close to a halfway point for us, no one had to drive far to be together. It was close to a grocery store, but yet seemed secluded and private. We were able to enjoy a wonderful time with our children celebrating my wifes birthday. Would definately rent this property again and wouldn't hesitate to recommed Randy and his retreat.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

What a wonderful place to come stay and relax in the Colorado mountain air. The Willis Retreat has a wonderful cabin feel with plenty of bedrooms to accomodate any size family. Everything is very clean and hospitable from the moment you walk in the door. Garage space is available as well to store bikes or put your car in. With plenty of property surrounding the cabin you have plenty of privace to enjoy your time. You can't help but relax with the help of the onsite hot tub. If you just can't live without modern technology the cabin has open wireless internet access, plenty of DVD movies as well as satelite TV. The town of fairplay is a small town with a market and a couple restaraunts. However is is a short 20 mile scenic drive over Hoosier pass into the ski town of Breckenridge for skiing shopping or good food and cocktails. Our pets were welcome as well and a fenced in back yard allowed for them to enjoy the outdoors as well. We loved our stay and will definitely be going back for another stay soon.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Located just a half-hour from Breckenridge, it is perfect to stay here and enjoy great skiing in Summit County - and you get to avoid I-70 traffic by using US 285 to get back to Denver. Randy is very accomodating and is always available for questions, if you have them. I can't think of a reason why someone would not enjoy their time at the Willis Retreat. We just stayed at this cabin for the fourth time. It is such a comfortable place to stay and is dog friendly with a fenced yard which makes a big difference for us. The hot tub is a great plus too. The cabin is roomy, always spotless with a big kitchen, wood stove, satellite tv and wireless internet. It is just a few minutes from Fairplay and is easy to get to, but with tall ponderosa pines all around it quiet and feels like remote mountains. Fishing is not too far. The best part is the service of the owner. He always emails information before we arrive then checks in the first night we are there to make sure everything is okay. For all of the amenities and great service it is a great deal. We will continue our annual visits.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We spent our Thanksgiving 2011 at the Willis Retreat. We had four adults and two kids (ages 4 and 5). The home was clean, spacious, and had great amenities (i.e. hot tub, games, movies, even a tree house for the kids- which they absolutely loved). And I will gladly give it five stars, and highly recommend. Although I must say that we had to run into town to get several items, which was a bit of a nuisance. For instance, there was no aluminum foil, syran wrap, or plastic baggies, so after cooking a meal (considering it was Thanksgiving), salvaging leftovers was an issue (there was some tupperware). We also ran out of paper towels, napkins, and nearly ran out of toilet paper. There was no laundry detergent (maybe enough for one load) when we arrived, or kindling for the fire (although he did have fire starters). So, lesson learned on our part that we should have taken EVERYTHING that we needed, as we were looking to just burrow in during our stay. However, in spite of these minor annoyances (perhaps I should have packed/planned better!), I still will highly recommend and plan on returning sometime in the future. The owner was absolutely great, responsive, and very helpful. Our stay was very much enjoyed, and it was a great deal for such a wonderful place. We really appreciated the fact that it was pet friendly, and didn't charge any additional cleaning, pet fees, or other costs. Thank you very much for sharing your home with us!!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners.

We were looking for a quick getaway and thought Fairplay was a great idea. The Willis Retreat had all the comforts of home, cozy couches and a wonderful t.v, internet access, roomy spatious kitchen, just the right amount of bedrooms, fenced in back yard for our little dog to run, hot tub in the back next to an additional game room area , a convenient mud room for boots and outdoor clothing, and the list goes on. The cabin is wonderfully decorated with wildnerness touches throughout, the beds were super comfy (I am very paticular about having a comfy bed) and close enough to town for a walk to some cute shops which I enjoyed exploring. One day we decided to drive into Breckenridge which was a very short drive indeed and enjoyed spending a few hours shopping and just enjoying the morning. My husband and son enjoyed playing horse shoes and we also explored a hiking trail which wasn't too far from the cabin which we all enjoyed. Randy was very pleasant and eager to help us answer any questions we had concerning directions or anything involving the cabin. My husband also appreciated the option of being able to park in the garage if he chose to do so, (we didn't need to) but it was nice having a car port option as well. The kids enjoyed riding their scooters up and down the circular driveway. If we ever come back to Fairplay we will definitely stay at the Willis Retreat.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, pet owners, sightseeing.

I stayed August 27 to Sept 2 at the Willis Retreat near Fairplay, Colorado. Having lived in the area decades ago, I knew where to look for a comfortable mountain home to rest up after daily hiking and sightseeing. From the minute I found Willis Retreat on-line I was impressed with the informative, clear description of the property. The Willis Retreat web site is well designed and depicts the retreat exactly as we found it upon arrival. Before, during, and after our visit, the owner was in touch by email, updating us every step of the way.He was available for any unforeseen problems - but we had absoloutely zero problems. It is a plus that the owner's family lives in Colorado and uses their mountain home often themselves! The home and property were extremely clean and comfortable. There was room to spare, but at most we had only 6 adults - the capacity is built for about twice that many if needed. After a day of hiking nearby trails, the Willis Retreat provided a restful place to recharge and read, talk with family, cook and eat. The nearby activities are so numerous, it would have taken a month to put a dent in them! Hiking is outstanding on the nearby National Forest trails within minutes of the Retreat. The Ranger Station in Fairplay is fantastic and provides published and oral recommendations for the area. Although we did not fish or mountain bike during this trip - these are the two other popular activities for the area. The scenery of the mountains ringing the magnificent South Park is beautiful. We also visited the nearby towns of Como and Alma - both are quaint old west towns with roots in mining like Fairplay. The people in all three towns are friendly and very helpful with information. I would definitely recommend the Willis Retreat to anyone who enjoys a mountain getaway surrounded by limitless outdoor activities - well away from the bustle of big cities, yet only 90 minutes from Denver and a few minutes from Breckenridge.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My husband and I stayed at the retreat with my Dad, Stepmom, 11-month old daughter, and 2 large dogs. It was so relaxing! It was quiet and peaceful but close enough to civilization that we still had cell phone service and internet. The retreat was especially suited for us because it was baby- and pet- friendly. Amenities provided for the baby included: pack n play, space saver high chair, and gate for the open stairwell, so we didn't have to haul any of those large items with us. The fenced back yard area was great for us for early morning and after dark when the dogs wanted out but we didn't want to worry about them chasing the wildlife (especially while we kicked back in the hot tub!). Everything was clean and very well kept. We'll be back!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We fell in love with the cabin as soon as we arrived!! So nicely decorated and comfortable.Spacious, clean and well kept. Great instructions to follow for use of all the amenities that are offered. We slept like babies in the comfortable bed after relaxing in the evening in the hot tub after a day of atving. We enjoyed all the atv trails that we managed to ride the 6 days that we did go. It was also nice to have a cozy fire a couple of mornings to take the chill off. We also enjoyed the beautiful scenery from the deck and cooked many meals on the grill. It was a wonderful place to spend our Honeymoon at and will always be remembered. Thanks for sharing your beautiful cabin with us and we will be back!!! :)Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We loved our time at the cabin. The directions to get there were great. It was super close to a grocery. Randy answered questions in a prompt & helpful way before we got there. The hiking trails that surround it were awesome. It was clean, private, & super comfortable. The Willis Retreat was a great place for us to stay with our 3 kids & dog for a long weekend in the mountains. Enjoyed hiking and exploring the close by trails and coming back to relax at the secluded cabin. Lots of things for the kids (& parents) to do. The kids of course loved the game room and board games available. The main room was very open and bright with the view of the back of the property. We also enjoyed the hot tub in evenings and all of us slept well in the comfortable beds. Lots of thought put into the retreat and the service provided (appreciated the thorough information). Thanks for providing a great place to stay!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We enjoyed our stay so much that we definitely plan on returning. The cabin was clean and comfortable and we could see that a lot of thought and caring has gone into making this a relaxing, enjoyable "home away from home." Our grandchildren loved the treehouse and gameroom. Randy has anticipated the vacationer's every need and there were detailed instructions for the hot tub, etc. that were very much appreciated. Went ATV riding on Mosquito Pass road, fishing with the kids at Fairplay Beach and had a great dinner at Millonzi's Italian restaurant. Thanks Randy, for sharing your wonderful place!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway.

Hi Randy, We LOVED our stay. We thought you did a wonderful job stocking the house with everything we'd need. It was very comfortable, the instructions were easy to follow and helpful and the location made it easy to visit the area. But, we did spend a lot of time just relaxing around the cabin. And my kids loved the bunkbeds and treehouse. It's very apparent you take a lot of pride in the home and we will definitely be back. Our only negative was that at 10,400 ft, it's a little more difficult to catch your breath! Thanks again, RebeccaRecommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This is a spacious, secluded, and comfortable property to stay in with no detail left ignored. There is a large kitchen, private hot tub and porch, game room, wood burning stove, satellite and high definition tv, and high speed internet. We used all of the amenities and had an amazing time! There are a few good restaurants in town and a great coffee house and Breckenridge is just a short ride away. This would be a great place to rent in any season with so much to do close by including skiing, hiking, biking, fishing, and hunting.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We had another great weekend at the Willis Retreat. The ice had just melted at Antero and the guys caught 20 inch trout! Quiet but close the town. A yard for the dogs and room to walk them. Great snow frosting the pine trees all around on Sunday morning. Thanks for a great place to relax and recharge! We will be back.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This was our second stay at the Willis Retreat. After the 1st time we stayed we thought it couldn't get any better, but we had just as much maybe more fun the second time. The cabin is located in the perfect location, only a few minutes from Fairplay and only 20 minutes from Breckenridge. The owners of the property are so thoughtful and easy to work with, the home is absolutely beautiful and always super clean. They provide everything you need for cooking all you have to bring is the food. It is super relaxing and you'll feel like your at home while staying at the Willis Retreat.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We had a wonderful stay at the Willis Retreat. It was clean, everything worked well and the kitchen is large and roomy. The fenced yard was great for our dogs. We didn't have to worry about them wandering off and finding wild critters. The hot tub was great. Usually we have to drive to another town to go to the hot springs when we stay in Fairplay. It was so convenient to have internet access and satellite television. The decor was fun and the wood stove made it even more cozy. The location was private but close to town and easy to get to. It was a great value and close to Breckenridge. The owners were responded to questions we had and check in with us to make sure every thing was working fine for us. We will definitely be returning.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The house was very comfortable with everything we needed. The owner had left detailed instructions on everything in the house so there were no problems using any of the equipment. The location is only a short walk from the town of Fairplay but is very secluded. The drive over the Hoosier pass every day to go skiing never disappointed as the views are spectacular.Recommended for: Adventure seekers

my friends and i and our 3 dogs stayed at the willis retreat over new year's. the place was clean, well-kept, and the surrounding area was just beautiful. the dogs got to romp around, we enjoyed cooking meals in the large kitchen, hanging out in the great room with large windows by the fire, and relaxing in the hot tub with a view. we were able to access cross-country ski trails easily. randy was super nice and accomodating throughout the whole process. i would love to check the place out in summertime and would definitely recommend it!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, sightseeing.

I recommend this property to anyone who wants to get away from the crowds. We spend a wonderful 5 days at your cabin in December. The cabin was close to town but secluded and peaceful. Fairplay is very close and has everything that you could need. Our dogs (and us) loved the fenced in yard. There were deer that came to the fence at dusk that were a joy to watch. The cabin was spacious and clean, with a well stocked kitchen. It was nice to have the satellite TV with one one in the master bedroom. Randy made sure that everything was in working order when we got there and that we knew how to hold of him if we needed. There was only one drawback to the cabin… all the restrooms are on the lower level with the bedrooms. One person in our party had to wear a foot boot and the steps were difficult for them.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, pet owners, sightseeing.
