This romantic penthouse ocean front studio is on the top floor of the 14-floor Phoenix Tower. This unit has the most spectacular view in Aruba. Facing north at the lower end of Palm Beach, the unit and balcony enjoy shade all day and a steady breeze 24/7. One can see the curve of the Caribbean Sea all the way up the beaches to the Lighthouse on the North end of the island from this unit. Escape the snow & cold weather, Flu season, and winter blues of the north. Relax and breathe in the fresh sea breezes. Enjoy the sunshine while getting some natural Vitamin D. Enjoy both morning and evening beverages on the balcony. See the pictures on this site.
Almost all units in the Tower and Villas have been sold and very few, if any, are available for rent during January and February. Only the top floors of the Phoenix Tower have views of the Caribbean and Palm Beach. Many "Carnival" activities are going on during this time, with the final parade right before the beginning of Lent. Several special events and parties are held each week for members and guest. Because of multiple owners of the studio, it can not be classified as "non-smoking", however, it is completely cleaned of any smoke between renters. And...the couple, that uses the studio the two weeks before this rental, DOES NOT SMOKE.
Full service and very reasonable Dining is available at the Sunset Bistro. Tables are available inside, on the Terrace, on platforms on the beach, and directly in the sand at no extra charge. Reservations are suggested for all tables on the beach. The French Deli offers sandwiches, salads, ice cream, and a mimi mart for snacks and supplies. Items can be purchased "to go" or enjoyed at tables both inside or outside. There is a large separate ballroom that can host special catered events.
This facility has an on-site full service, state-of-the-art gym with modern elliptical, Stairmaster, treadmill, and weight machines along with free weights and Spa Services. In fact, many of the local residents have memberships here because it is one of the best gyms on the island.
The Divi Aruba Phoenix is the first high-rise on the beach side of the road approaching Palm Beach from the South. It is at the opposite end from the Marriott...which is much more crowded. This part of Palm Beach is quiet because of the limited number of guests in the Divi Aruba Phoenix and the fact that the land between the Phoenix and the next highrise (Wyndham) is public park land. Guests have use of straw huts, hammocks, and access to beach fun including scuba diving, snorkeling, and wind surfing. The Butterfly Farm is located accross the street, too.
There is a large, wide walkway that starts at the Phoenix and extends all the way up Palm Beach. This is ideal for those wishing to walk or exercise outside along the beach.
The weather is pleasant all year round. The temperature during January and February, is between the high 70's and mid 80's with a constant breeze. There is very little rain during the latter part of January and February.
Guests of this unit enjoy on site amenities plus the combined offerings of a family of five Divi Aruba resorts in Aruba. The Divi family offers nine restaurants, full-service spa, fitness centers, and more. There is a bus stop in front of the Phoenix, with buses connecting the Phoenix to the other resorts, restaurants, and downtown.
