I have been staying in this house whenever I can over the past few years with my husband and friends and family. This is the most exceptional piece of property in Miami with the sunsets,the mist rising from and the purples, blues and grays reflecting off the lake in the early morning, the species of beautiful birds and plants, the quiet, and the size. Everyone who stays in this house is struck by the peace and calm that surrounds. This Florida house perfectly matches what is presented on the website. It is an ample space with a beautiful kitchen opening up onto the screened porch and the vast front yard and lake. The layout is perfect for a family or a group of 8, and one is convenient to all around. My husband and I sometimes come alone for a romantic, quiet, and active time together where we can visit with and host our family, friends, and young grandchildren. I spent my last visit with 6 of my girlfriends and we kayaked, canoed, biked, played golf, did Zumba at the lakeside, cooked, shopped and frequented the Equinox gym at Merrick Park Village, enjoyed Cuban food and salsa dancing at Azucar in Coral Gables, and were equally situated between Miami Beach and the Miami airport. Every morning we woke, and said "Another 'ho hum' day in paradise!" Perfect in my mind!

Gorgeous lake house!

We are a family of 4 from Boston, MA. We loved the pictures and location of this house which is why we decided to stay here. We had the MOST relaxing vacation at this beautiful home. Every morning we had breakfast in the enclosed porch, and enjoyed looking at the lake and listening to the birds sing. It was paradise! Our girls, ages 7 and 5, enjoyed splashing in the lake and looking at the little fish. We used the canoe that the owner provided daily, and the girls had their swim vests on (also provided). The house is very spacious....the pictures of the house are accurate. The grandparents came over several times to visit us, and never felt crowded. The neighborhood is beautiful, and the vegetation and trees are absolutely delightful. The owner is very attentive to detail, and keeps the house very well stocked. The kitchen has everything you need, we also used the gas and charcoal grills and had some great barbecues. Toiletries like shampoo and soap are provided, as well as paper towels, toilet paper, plastic ziplock bags, laundry detergent and dishwasher detergent. The owner also gives you a list of places and restaurants to visit. We went to Casa Larios nearby and had a delicious meal. We would love to stay here again!!!!

We are from the UK and stayed at this property for 5 weeks whilst my husband was on a business trip. We had a truly fantastic time. The photos of the property are very accurate. It is beautiful, large, clean and tastefully decorated. The setting is very tranquil and it's equipped with everything you could possibly need to cook well and entertain yourselves. The owner and property manager went out of their way to ensure everything was in order and I'm very grateful for that! We simply couldn't have asked for more. I stayed with my husband, nanny and 4 young children. They loved the big garden and thoroughly enjoyed collecting mangoes that fell from the trees, as well as looking at the turtles and fish in the lake. Another great thing about this property is it's close proximity to playgrounds, parks, tennis courts, shops and restaurants. There is just so much to do on your doorstep. Before choosing this property, I did take a look at the reviews, and now having stayed there, I understand why it is so highly rated. I would love to stay again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

We have an excellent experience at the house. It is fully equiped to make you feel at home in Miami. The listing description and pictures of the house are acurate and reflect pefectly what the house is. The view from the porch, kitchen, beadroom and living room is amazing. The property is pefectly mantained and has all you need for your stay. The owner has been very good at answering our questions and gave us a great service I would definetively recomend the house and the neighborhood. Nice restaurants and malls are nearby for your convenience. The shopping and dinning experience at Village at Merrick Park is recommended.

Fantastic vacation home - has everything you need and more!

We just returned from our 2 week vacation - stayed here with family incl. grandparents and small children (toddlers & baby). This house was exactly what we we looking for - listing and photos provided are very representative of the home. Pam has stocked the house with everything you'd need including paper goods, toiletries, laundry detergent, extra sets of sheets and towels, crib with extra crib sheets. The kitchen is so well equipped that we kept commenting during our stay about how we wished our kitchen could be so organized. The view of the lake is incredibly relaxing and the house is situated so that you can enjoy the view from many places in the house. The sunset over the lake each evening was gorgeous. There is a large lawn between the house and the lake so even with toddlers we felt safe that they wouldn't wander near the lake without an adult. We used the kayaks and a canoe every day - often the only ones out on the water besides the various birds and ducks including coots and a blue heron. There are also parakeets that seem to like to spend their morning in the trees behind the house which was a treat for us and the kids to see and hear. We made some delicious meals using the gas and charcoal grills and enjoyed sitting at the screened in dining area on the porch (with convenient access to the kitchen) and the dining table inside the house. The house is spacious and well designed so that even with 8 people, it never felt crowded or noisy. Lay out of bedrooms was perfect for us and there's an extra door that separates 3 of the bedrooms from the rest of the house which was helpful with the varying bedtimes. The location was excellent - safe, quiet neighborhood yet easy access by car to nearby parks/gardens, restaurants, coconut grove, downtown miami, south beach, and the everglades. Beautiful area to walk/run - enjoyed morning runs to the marina at mattheson state park. Highly recommend visiting nearby Fairchild botanic garden (the family membership was worth it for our 2 week stay), the farmers market at Pinecrest gardens, and the Everglades (only about a 45 min drive from the house - stop at the "Robert is Here" market right before the park entrance for smoothies) - walked on the Anhinga trail -easy high yield half mile loop where we saw about 25 alligators and crocodiles. Gary, the property manager, was very responsive when we asked for help with a couple things and he came over promptly. Stay here - you'll love it!
