Spectacular views of village, Lake, and mountains from the veranda. - Travel to Ajijic, Mexico Casa La Montana is located in the village of Ajijic, Mexico overlooking Lake Chapala, the largest lake in Mexico. Casa La Montana is perched high on the side of the mountain overlooking the village with magnificent views of Lake Chapala and the mountains that surround the Lake. It is an easy drive from the airport in Guadalajara. Casa La Montana combines old world Mexican charm with all the modern conveniences to make your stay in Ajijic memorable. There are three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a full kitchen with breakfast bar, a living room with fireplace, and a covered veranda for outdoor dining and relaxation overlooking the village and the Lake. The master suite has a king size bed, private bath, and walk-in closet. The guest suite is located on the lower level and has a queen size bed, full bath, and a sitting area. Large windows overlook the Lake and the gardens. The third bedroom has a trundle bed and private bath. Casa La Montana is located at one of the highest points in all of Lakeside. Entry is through an iron gate with automatic opener and ample off street, secure parking. It is very private, quiet, and peaceful; the perfect place to come “home” to after a long day of site seeing, shopping, or dining. Ajijic is a quaint village with narrow, cobblestone streets, shops, and great restaurants. Located just thirty-five miles south of Guadalajara, there is an endless array of attractions to keep you busy. Ajijic has been a popular “Norte Americano” retirement haven for many years, so most shops and restaurants are staffed by English speaking staff, so don’t worry if your Spanish skills are a bit lax.
