Ive been coming to puerto for years and Bungalows Oasis is by FAR the best hotel I have ever stayed at! The rooms are beautiful along with the courtyard, and has spectacular views. The owner is a really nice guy, and helped me with everhything i needed. i love how close to the beach it is and to great resturants. I recomend to EVERYONE who goes to Puerto Escondido to stay at Bungalows Oasis, it is the greatest hotel!

We have stayed in the Bungalows Oasis for 2 month with my wife. The location is excellent there is no building between you and the ocean just a row of palm trees and great view. We had 3 ceiling fans and proper air conditioning with inside outside units plenty of hot water with our own gas boiler. The TV had good chanel selection plenty of movies and the WIFI good reception strenght (used my voip to talk to friends in Europe). We became good friends with the local volunteer manager and other guest. There were no loud partys while we stayed there (I am a retiree myself) the place seems to run by itself every body respects the other privacy so it all adds up "we will be back" as Ahnold would say.

My wife and I recently spent 5 weeks at Bungalows Oasis with our dog. On arrival we were made to feel very welcome by the temporary managers who were looking after the units while the owner was away. They made sure that everything was as we wanted. These are people who even though were paying rent themselves, told the owner that they were willing to look after the place while he left for extended periods. They have become good friends who spent considerable time with us and some of the other clients. The units are very comfortable, some very spacious, with nice views of the ocean and Zicatela Beach. The grounds are maintained beautifully with lots of grass and various types of palm trees. The one big amenity that is not there is a swimming pool, which would be nice to cool off in, but my wife and I prefer to do our swimming in the ocean, so did not miss a pool that much. It is a bit of a way to the first quiet swimmable beach, but we had a car, while other guests either took a taxi or a colectivo to their favorite beach. Zicatela Beach is one of the best surfing beaches in the world but it is not a safe place to swim with big waves and a strong undertow, as well as possible riptides. It is usually marked with red flags for no swimming. While we were there the other guests were all older and quiet, and loud party’ers were not well received. We have already booked again for next year. Our dog was welcome by the management and all the other guests. We would definitely recommend Bungalows Oasis for young couples and retirees and also people with pets. The managers, are a major factor in our favourable stay at this place.

My wife and I along with our son stayed in this condo complex for 6 weeks this year. The place was exactly the way it was described by the owner. Our unit came with air conditioning, ceiling fans and a fully equipped kitchen. The balcony offered a magnificent view of the ocean. The place is centrally located with easy access to downtown shopping and restaurants. The Mexican young man in charge was most helpful in giving us tips of good eating places, where stuff was available, etc. All in all, we had a great holiday and we would strongly recommend this place to anyone interested in visiting Puerto Escondido.

We stayed here for a month with a 9 month old baby and found the location to be really great. Everything we needed was just a short walk away ie. "convenience stores"(2 minutes), surfing beach (Zicatela 4 minutes), Main beach strip (Shops, restaurants,6 minutes). Located in a neighborhood with kids playing soccer in the streets, and oranges, pineapples and tortillas sold from trucks and VW's passing by. (Only trick is catching them... the oranges, not the kids) The main city is a short (and affordable) taxi ride away or a REALLY affordable public transport type ride away(AKA Collectivo). Don't miss the market. Swimming beaches are either a short walk away, along the Zicatela beach, or a taxi ride away for some really sweet spots. You may have to walk a bit for a safe swimming beach, but I think that we preferred making our way to these beaches from Hotel Oasis, then actually staying right next to them, as they are too close to town or too far away from the Zicatela beach strip. We were staying in Suite 2 and really felt that we had a great situation, with views that we will always remember and plenty of space. Clean space, Clean towels, WI-FI, Air Con and a Juicer... What else do you need.

This place is great. its just like home and if there is something you dont have just ask Mike or Jackie and they will make it happen. The natural flow of the grounds is wonderful.. down to the luxury of a grass lawn. hot water, internet, sky cable, plenty of parking and an amazing outdoor patio and lounge area. at night you can stare at the stars and hear the waves crashing on the beach at mexpipe. we loved the easy access to both the beach and the highway to make travel into the big market simple. the neighborhood itself has a few little markets, a few places to eat and the beer store is at the bottom of the hill on the beach. get a surf lesson from checko the groundskeeper at la punta and you will be a pro in no time. if you have kids this is a great place too, believe us we do a lot of surf traveling and we understand how hard it is to pick a place to stay. you want it to be perfect. if you read this review feel confident that this is the place you can be assured a relaxing stay doing whatever it is you want around good people. for us this was what we thought was getting our bang for buck but we ended up getting so much more for our dollar staying here.... very worth the price and i hope you do go and enjoy your stay.

We rent one of Mike's units every year. From the moment I first emailed Mike he was extremely helpful. His Hotel/Units is so spectacular. From the moment we stepped in the door we felt comfortable. We had great times with great views. Mike has a hammock that we have enjoyed and all the beach essentials. Mike went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of, He allowed us to use his surfboards and also took us on a surf trip to a very remote place called Chacahua. We surfed Great waves and had them all to ourselves. He was very responsive to every email, call I made. We love the hotel so much we have decided to return once a year. Thank you VERY MUCH MIKE! Great Place!!!! See you Soon!!!

My wife and I stayed at Bungalows Oasis last year from January through April. Mike the owner is doing a nice job of upgrading the units. He's adding a lower apartment and one on the top level. The unit on the top level will have one of the best views in all of Puerto when he's done. We've already reserved the lower unit for the first four months of 2011 and 2012. Thoroughly enjoy staying at this beautiful location
