A great vacation rental

I had the oppurtunity to stay at Marabella during the week of August 13th, and had a great time. The pictures advertised on this site are exactly as the townhouse looks. The two car garage opens up into a laundry room. A few steps up take you to the living area with couches, chairs and cocktail table. Another couple of step take you to the dining room, kitchen and TV area, all nicely furnished. The bedrooms on the next level are spacious and nicely appointed. The bathrooms for each bedroom are large and luxurious. The next level is a gameroom with pool table, computer/fax/printer, another TV. This leads out to the rooftop patio, which was spacious and provided water views. A propane barbeque allowed for grilling steaks a few of the nights. Most importantly, the management team of Robert and Julie made themselves available before, during, and after our stay at Marabella. They made sure our stay at marabella was a memorable one...!

My family and I stayed at this townhouse in June 2011. I have 2 toddlers and was worried about being cramped in a hotel room with them so I started looking at VRBO for private rentals. I was so excited when I found this listing and booked right away. It turned out to be a great idea! The townhouse is gorgeous and the furnishings were great. We did have to put away some of the things that were used for decoration around the TH out of fear of our kids breaking them but that was no big deal. The location was amazing. The walk to the beach was a little over a block. They had 2 beach chairs and a cooler in the garage. I left a beach umbrella there for the next renters. That was the only thing that was missing. The pool at the complex is very small as some previous posters stated but it was perfect for us with 2 little kids. My only complaint and it is minor is that the roof top deck was very dirty and our feet were black after being outside without shoes. The furiture on the deck was comfortable and it was a nice spot to be able to relax after the kids went to bed. Definitely a great experience and great townhouse!

Came down from New York with the family for the Memorial Holiday. Had never booked thru VRBO so was a little nervous not knowing what to expect. The property manager was great and he provided all the details and even got me referrals from past tenants. Booking was an ease. Got down to the property and I must say even better in person. The owners spent a pretty penny. The place is gorgeous, even has an elevator. We spent most of our time on the roof terrace with the bar b q and getting some sun. There is a small communiity pool and jacuzzi facing the W and Hilton and they provided beach chairs and towels when we went down to the beach. I loved the plasma tv with the swivel sofas in the famliy room, my wife loved the large shower steam room in the master bath and the kids loved the pool table on the 4th floor (how they got it up there I dont know) Cant wait to get back down and enjoy this place again. Two thumbs up for sure.

We stayed at this beautiful townhome for approx 1 wk while in town for a wedding and we loved it. The location is great, close to beach/restaraunts/nightlife/ yet far enough away to have some peace and quite. The pictures represent the townhome well. It has lots of room with great amenities. I also have to say that the management/owner that I spoke with was very helpful and accommodating.

Hardly Paradise - But A Great Location

This rental property is located within close proximity to the beach ( 1-1/2 blocks ) and approximately a 1/2 mile to the Las Olas shopping district. In addition to the location of the beach, you have your choice of upscale dining to casual all within walking distance. This is a newer constructed property and as such everything is pretty top end. 4th level patio area provided a relaxing atmosphere, great view and an BBQ. Our complaints with the property were during our entire stay ( and three days prior ) the pool and hot tub were shut down by the Broward County Heath Department, despite numerous calls to the management company - it was never resolved and no compensation was offered. Despite advertising the pool / hot tub and being in close proximity to the beach -- NO beach towels were provided. Despite listing the property as having 3 bedrooms -- it actually has two, the " Den " is actually taken up by the pool table. They provided an air mattress for you to setup but where ? The living room ? Other complaints were that they provided a nice under-cabinet wine cooler but no wine glasses ( we purchased a set of 8 ). Sleeps 4-6, but they provide exactly 4 coffee cups, 5 bath towels, 3 wash clothes and no bath mats requiring the daily use of both the dishwasher and washer/dryer. Been kind of nice if the owner provided some music source for the deck area and TV's for the bedrooms. If you don't like climbing stairs then this is probably not a property for you ( elevator provided ) because there are alot of stairs over the 4-levels. Overall, we feel that there were better values for the money ( because we really did need that 3rd bedroom ). Great location but the fact that the management company never resolved ANY of the issues and the fact that no compensation was offered for specifically the pool / hot tub not being usable did not sit well with us. ( You go to FL in the winter to enjoy the pleasures of laying pool side in the sun and actually being able to use it !! ) Having rented vacation rental properties for over 10-years we have come to expect a certain level of property and a certain level of service ( managment addressing issues ) and this one while not terrible just did not measure up.
Owner response:It is unfortunate to see Steve and his family did not enjoy their stay. However, we find their reveiw false and misleading. The pool and hot tub have never been closed by the Broward County Health Department and our agents office never recevied a phone call or email of this purported issue. The property contains beach towels and beach chairs for guests use. There are also hotel quality linens provided to accomodate upto 6 guests. The kitchen contains 3 full sets of china including glassware, silverware and a full set of cookware. The roof terrace has surround speakers controlled by 1 of 3 media centers in the home. The 3rd sleeping accomdation is specifically addressed in the Occupancy Agreement. This party was a husband, wife and 1 teenage child. The 3rd bedroom was only an issue as they attempted to violate the Occupancy limit by housing non listed guests. Addtional reviews and references are available upon request.

House is exactly like the pictures only better! Next time I'll bring house shoes/slippers (the floors are hard, cold and get dirty) and beach towels (silly us, but there's a bunch of shopping just around the corner). But everything else is here! Including really great details from filtered water to 2 beach chairs to grill on deck with prep sink! Highly recommend staying here if you want to be close to the beach (2 tiny blocks, really, it's perfect) and comfortable. Also the check-in team was super friendly and helpful!
