During the summer the calm ocean offers the most spectacular snorkeling and dive sites on the Island, with turtles and clouds of fish awaiting you in front of the house. The ocean is so spectacular here, that it is one of the few designated Marine Conservation areas in all of Hawaii, with caves, arches and fantastic coral outcroppings steps from the house.
During the winter, this location boasts some of the largest waves in the world, strategically located between world famous Waimea Bay and Sunset Beach. The house sits two blocks
from excellent shopping at Foodland and hot coffee at Starbucks. In back of the house is a bus stop and the beautiful North Shore bike path, awaiting your exploration. (4 bikes are provided for your riding pleasure.) Directly in front of the house are some of the most interesting tide pools to explore, while 1 block East brings you to a pristine sandy beach that stretches for miles to Sunset Beach. Watch the whales and dolphins from the elevated porch.
To the West, a short walk brings you to Waimea Bay and its world class Botanical Park. The elevated porch offers you the opportunity to watch whales and dolphins pass in front of the house and is the ideal spot to watch the sunset over paradise. A 10-minute drive brings you to historic Haleiwa Town with fine dining and excellent shopping, or, to Turtle Bay Golf Course and Tennis Courts. An ancient Heiau sits on the hill above the house with miles of hiking available through the mountains and countryside.

We stayed here for a week in July 2011. The beach house comfortably accommodated my husband and me, my 80 year old mother, and my 2 college-aged kids. The house has fans in every room, which we used every evening. A/C would have been nice, but we got along ok without it. We enjoyed watching the sunsets over the ocean from the porch perched up on the roof of the house. The location was perfect for us. It is a 5 minute walk to Shark's Cove (perfect for scuba divers and beginner snorkelers in summer). If you walk down the bike path 5 minutes in the other direction, you will find a secret sandy beach with public access but no public parking. Restaurants, dive shops, etc. are about a 10 minute drive away, in Hale'iwa. The owners are friendly and nice to work with.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers.

We had the best stay...The house was just perfect...There were so many turtles and fish in front of the house and the ocean was like a lake. I spent most of my time on the deck relaxing and watching the ocean.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1
