Deer Cove Cottage is a comfortable retreat conveniently located off I-85 at exit 173 in an upscale neighborhood. The beautiful wooded property has a paved circular driveway and flat pathway to the lake. There is a 28’ x 34’ covered, lighted, slip dock in a large deepwater cove with views of the main channel. The cove, located at buoy T-64, is great for tubing and learning how to ski. There is also a canoe available for exploring the lake. The property is near two boat ramps, Tugaloo State Park and Poplar Springs, and 4 miles by water to Harbor Light Marina. The neighborhood is located just 1 mile from the entrance to Tugaloo State Park. In addition to boat ramps, the park offers camping, cabins, beach, tennis, playgrounds, putt-putt and nature trails.
The 2000 square foot home is perfect for a family get-together or getaway with friends, with many areas for having fun and relaxing. Enjoy morning coffee or tea on the spacious deck overlooking the lake, which includes a Weber grill available for use. There is a separate screened porch ideal for napping in the hammock and eating or playing games at the large table. Evenings on the dock offer spectacular sunset views across the cove and a perfect opportunity for watching for deer or the neighborhood beaver.
The main level of the home includes a well-stocked open kitchen, dining area and large great room with a stone fireplace, TV with DirecTV, DVD player and VCR. Assorted games, puzzles, DVDs, books, and toys are available. There is a day bed and convertible sofa which makes into a double bed in the great room, still leaving plenty of space to set up a card table for games and/or crafts. The main level also includes a bathroom and bedroom with a queen bed. For those who want to stay connected, wireless high speed DSL internet access is provided.
On the lower level there is a full bath, a second bedroom with a double bed and a third bedroom with a single over double bunk bed, a daybed with a trundle and a toddler bed. Towels and linens are available for your convenience.
For guests who wish to explore the area or pick up supplies, Deer Cove Cottage is close to shops and restaurants in Lavonia and convenient to Toccoa, Anderson, and Hartwell where you will find many restaurants and larger retailers such as Ingles and Walmart.

Why the Owner Chose Lavonia
Lake Hartwell, and specifically the location of Deer Cove Cottage, is easily accessible for weekend getaways. The water is beautiful and the lake isn't crowded, making for safe and fun boating with our family and friends.
The Unique Benefits at this House
We enjoy the privacy of the property while still being part of a neighborhood. The kids spend hours playing outside and the dog especially enjoys walks through the neighborhood. The close proximity of Tugaloo State Park is an added bonus where we enjoy tennis, putt-putt and the seasonal activities they offer. We are fortunate to be near Toccoa, Hartwell, and Lavonia and like eating at the local restaurants and browsing through the shops in these areas. We also have fun going to local activities and festivals.

me and my family had a great time here for fathers day weekend everthing we needed was there and house was in perfect location next to marina and on the lake!
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, tourists without a car, pet owners, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

We enjoyed every moment of our week stay at Deer Cove Cottage. This is a great place for adults to sit back and relax and for children to play. We hope to visit again soon.
