Visit the perfect place to reconnect, recharge, and relax. This clean, affordable, and inviting cottage in Mill Ridge Resort has all the luxuries of home and is within minutes of all the High Country favorite attractions.
Surrounded by lush rhododendron and trees, you will enjoy the view from the gated wrap around upper deck or stay inside by the air conditioner while gazing at the glorious view through all the windows. Additionally, the deck houses a gas grill and an outdoor table with chairs, and a children’s picnic table for your outdoor dining experience. During the cooler months, warm up with your choice of three heating sources.
The main upper level has an open living space for the well equipped kitchen, dining, and living area. With partial cathedral ceilings, ceiling fans, hardwoods, ceramic tile floors, WI-FI, and TV/DVD/VCR/Stereo, either area will accommodate seating for six. Also, the leather sofa is a queen sleeper.
Each of the two main upper level bedrooms has a TV: one with VCR and the other with DVD player. Each accesses its own half bathroom with a shared tub/shower. The master bedroom features the King size bed. The second bedroom has (2) twins that can easily be rolled together. For a restful sleep, all linens are 425 thread count or higher.
Follow the spiral staircase downstairs to find a den/game room. This getaway features an air hockey table, magnetic darts, board games, books, V Tech, TV, stereo, movies and a sofa. Walk through an adjoining door to a queen bedroom with lower deck access and a half-bath with full-size washer and dryer.
We invite you to Camp Davis located in a family resort with a summer pool, tennis , volleyball, and basketball courts, horseshoe pit, ponds, hiking trails, and a stream. Any season, (indoors or outdoors) offers spectacular views, big adventure, and great fun. For your convenience, we provide a high-chair, Pac-n-play, and a stroller.

This is a great mountain home with awesome decks that are very private and so good for meals and just sitting. Great room is really done well and is very comfortable!! The woodstove is great!! Rental is exactly as described!!

We had a great time during our stay. The location of the retreat is perfect. It is located in the middle of all the locations that we wanted to visit, but far enough away and up the mountain to enjoy "getting away" from it all. When we left home, it was 98 degrees with a heat index of 115. We arrived at Camp Davis it was a wonderful 75 degrees. (and no heat index) Most mornings we woke up to low 60’s. We took our grand kids to Tweetsie Railroad on Tues and Weds. It brought back some great memories and the looks on our grand kids faces were priceless when they saw the train. The house is well furnished and has plenty of room. Everything was clean and well maintained. The large deck with the locking gates allowed the grand kids to play without worry. It also is a great place to drink coffee early in the morning. Thank you for a great stay and look forward to a return visit. Also, be sure and eat at Pappy's. It's on Hwy 105 south of the entrance to the resort. Great food and service.

Lovely home, and very well equipped, small kitchen. We spent Memorial Day weekend with our grand children, and even though it rained two days we had a ball. We introduced them to fishing at the trout farm. Caught 4 large rainbow trout. ($80.00, but worth it!). *Note* Gem Mountain is not open on Sundays. Convenient to modern super markets with no shortage of selection. If the pool is important, check ahead to be sure it's available. Don't miss Sorrento's Bistro in Banner Elk. It's very nice. Great food, good service, and an impressive wine cellar.
Owner response:The pool water is much too chilly in May and it is being upgraded but should be better than new in a few weeks. We look forward to our future visitors!

Beautiful home! The setting was perfect for our 11th Annual Girls weekend for the Woolly Worm Festival. The house is very open with lots of windows to enjoy the woodsy setting. There was plenty of room for everyone to enjoy the home and each other's company! My daughter loved the gameroom and video games! Definitely a great plus! Thanks for opening your home to share with others! Can't wait to visit your home again!

Our stay at your cottage was incredible. Your home is very inviting; it felt like home and it was nicely decorated. Simply sitting on the deck was like "A little bit of heaven". This is a wonderful home! It is gorgeous and inviting and comfortable. The decks are glorious; you can relax in the rockers, cook dinner on the grill, dine 'al fresco' and even cozy up to a fire in the chimnea! There are televisions, dvds and wifi throughout the house if you ever get tired of the decks (which you won't!). The facilities have a great pool, tennis courts and nature trails as well. The access is easy, with sloping walkways, no steps into the main area of the house. I highly recommend this home. You will not want to leave at the end of your stay, but you will want to come back next year!

This is such a lovely home! The furnishings are gorgeous and very inviting and comfortable. The kitchen is very well appointed. The decks, both upper and lower, are amazing! There is a grill, a chimnea for cozy fires, table and chairs for dining 'al fresco' and comfortable chairs for just enjoying the scenery! This will be the mountain vacation home you will want to return to year after year! And my son Loves the Air Hockey table!!
