The main marina has a very large sandy beach with volleyball, boating and a snack shack.
The town of Groveland provides all the necessary amenities - grocery store and restaurants.
The house is a great base for many day trips such as: Yosemite, Hetch Hetchy, Lake Don Pedro, Columbia State Park, Tuolumne Meadows and Gold Country mining towns such as Jamestown and Sonora, where there are lots of antique stores. Great choice for vacation & visiting Yosemite

Our family (7 adults, including 2 couples & 3 singles) enjoyed 6 nights at this location. The house was our base for travelling into Yosemite National Park. In addition to the large upstairs deck (front & back with plenty of chairs & no bugs!), the 2 inside living areas (each with open living & dining areas with large tables and plenty of chairs) were very roomy. Kitchen & pantry area allowed 3 adults to work on meals at the same time; kitchen was outfitted with all prep & serving equipment needed during our stay and each meal; the grocery store carried everything we needed. Plenty of clean, fluffy towels were found in the kitchen & all 3 baths. Between the large TV, outside decks (for wildlife & star gazing), and games, everyone found something to do in the evenings. The lake & beach area with snack bar were great for afternoon relaxation. We, too, recommend this house as a great base for the Yosemite area. Trudy (owner) does a great job; very professional and very helpful. As a tip for other Yosemite travelers -> the owners provide lots of Yosemite information in a binder at the house. During summer months, plan at least 4 days to see & hike Yosemite – at least one day for each of these areas: Yosemite Valley, Tioga Pass & Mono Lake, Hetch Hetchy, and Wawona & Mariposa Grove. It will take 30 mins to reach the Big Oak Flat entrance from the house; then 30 mins more to reach the Valley or Wawona areas due to traffic. During summer months, entrance to Yosemite & parking are challenging; enter the park before 10am to avoid lines; park cars inside park early & use free shuttles (as hop-on & hop-off buses) as much as possible. Big Trees Tram Tour (in Mariposa Grove) is well worth the money.

My family (three couples, one single adult, and one 5 year old) thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing stay at this lovely cabin in Pine Mountain Lake. We used the cabin as a base to travel into Yosemite National Park and also enjoyed a day enjoying the amenities in Pine Mountain Lake. The cabin was roomy with two living areas in addition to the large upstairs deck where we spent most evenings and breakfasts. Each morning we saw deer in the yard below the deck, much to the delight of my daughter and my parents. I loved the bookcases in almost every room, boasting a huge selection of novels organized by author. There is a grocery store close by, near the Ferretti Road/120 intersection. Although small, it stocks a surprising number of specialty items, including dairy alternatives and gluten-free items that my family needed. The owner of the cabin was a delight to work with, making the booking super easy. We had a maintenance issue while we were at the cabin. A repairman was at the cabin within 20 minutes of my call to the owner! I appreciated how quickly and efficiently she took care of the issue. I definitely recommend this cabin to others.

Our family (self, husband, two sons and daughter in law) had originally booked to stay inside Yosemite National Park - but we are so glad we changed our minds and stayed here instead! We all had more than enough room to relax in this charming house, which was both clean and comfortable- and we enjoyed watching the stellar jays and squirrels from the spacious decks. It was about a 30 minute drive to Yosemite, through magnificent scenery. Also, the turning off for Hetch Hetchy is a similar distance and well worth a visit (MUCH quieter than Yosemite Valley). We would highly recommend this house to others - the owner was a pleasure to deal with. Thank you.

Our family really enjoyed our stay at this house at Pine Mountain Lake in Groveland. It was a great location to visit Yosemite. It is also close to Pine Moutnain Lake, where we enjoyed a day of kayaking and swimming, the lake was surprisingly really warm for early June. There were 8 family members on our vacation and the house had plenty of space to accomodate all of us. We especially liked the wrap around deck, we could enjoy the sun no matter what time of the day. The only regret is that we wish our stay was longer!

Had an absolutely wonderful weekend at this house. It was even bigger and better than it looks in the pictures. The owner was easy to contact, extremely quick to return our deposit and a true pleasure to make the arrangements with. We had 7 single guys staying here and beds were not an issue because everyone wanted to sleep under the stars on the enormous decks! We never made it to the lake or pool but they looked great...although a bit further than walking distance. Our only complaint about the whole Groveland area was that we could not find a Taxi to take us into town...so figure you will always need a designated driver if you want to go into the Iron Door Saloon at night! As as side note...we highly recommend the guides at Whitewater Voyages for an AWESOME trip down the Toulomne River...long day but incredible rapids! Thanks so much for a perfect weekend base camp....wish we could have stayed longer!

Large, spacious cabin with a wonderful open-air, wrap-around deck. We found it a perfect base from which to explore Yosemite and the surrounding area. Sleeps up to 8 but perfect even for a smaller group of 4 or 6.

This accomodation for our family was perfect! With 4 adults, 1 infant, and 2 children, the size and location of the place was great. Close enough to Yosemite and very close to the private beaches on Pine Mountain Lake. The community pool was clean and had wonderful views. We enjoyed the porch swing and the large wrap around deck. A lot of room to run around and relax for sure!!
