We enjoyed our stay at Rustic Elegance. Cabin was clean and as described. We really enjoyed the back porch and hot tub and spent almost every evening there. It was just a short drive into the city, so close enough that we didn't spend all our time driving, yet far enough to be away from noise and other travelers. Our most enjoyable day was spent at Cade's Cove. We saw deer, turkeys, and bears! The drive was so beautiful. We did a few of the hikes in CC as well. Our favorite was Abram's Falls. Gorgeous! Best dinner was at the Chop House. One of the best ribeyes I've ever had. Our only suggestions to improve this experience for anyone in the future, would be to replace the sofa. It was a bit dirty and worn. Had somewhat of a musty smell as well. There was also pet hair on the rug. If you're used to that then you may not have even noticed or had an issue with it. But for non pet owners, it may be an issue. No issues at all with cell or internet service. We have AT&T and both had great service at the cabin. Thanks again for a great week at your cabin!

The cabin itself was very clean and accommodating. The surrounding area was very well kept and peaceful. We were able to take full advantage of the hot tub which was very relaxing but did not use the jet tub inside. The cable was nice and undisturbed throughout our stay and we were able to get phone signals as well as internet through our phones. My only complaint and the reason I gave this cabin 4 stars and not 5 is the directions to get there. We ended up using gps because there are little or no road signs once you get within a mile of the cabin. We arrived late so it was dark outside and drove around aimlessly for about 15 minutes before finding the place which still had no visible address. All in all, it was a nice getaway, just plan on arriving in the daylight and im sure you will have no troubles. Thanks again for sharing your cabin with us.

Owner response: Hi All, first let me apologize the our guest for any confusion. I did have our cleaning crew go by and make sure all street signs were intact before I responded to this review. All signs are intact and visible. The cabin address and name are on the front of the cabin in order to assist in locating the property. The problem is the GPS. You cannot use GPS to get to a lot of the "backwoods" cabins. For future reference, we suggest all guests use the written directions provided. They will take you right to the front door. Thanks again!

Cabin was as described and well stocked! Kitchen was great for cooking in. Dart board had mostly broken darts so we played pool instead and had a lot of fun. The road is a little rugged coming up the hill, but you can't beat the views and the location is very convenient! Great value for the price.

This cabin was wonderful for our New Years vacation. It was exactly as described in the details, thankfully. We loved the hot tub and the spacious jacuzzi which is in view of the lovely fireplace. It was also very easy to find. We loved being able to play pool upstairs but if you're super tall (as we are) then it's a little tough to really play because the slant in the roof makes it pretty short in certain places. Other than that we very much enjoyed our stay and would definitely rent this cabin in the future.

The cabin was very clean and cozy. A perfect spot for R&R. Everything in the cabin was in good working order, the keyless code entry is wonderful. The owner quickly answered questions I had via e-mail right before my stay. This is definitely a cabin I will rent again in the future. Thanks for allowing us to rent your wonderful cabin!

Cabin was nice, has hottub and jacuzzi, hotub worked fine, didnt use jacuzzi. Our problem was the cable, which went out our 1st night there, owner did return call quickly, but took cabin services 2 days to fix problem, ( but we left a day early and cable was still hit and miss) Along the lines of other concerns, there is no phone, wall jack is there but no phone. Having AT&T service, we got sketchy signal outside..none inside. When going to this cabin, make sure you use Grant Lane as an entrance, everything is one way in and out. I for one and just my opinion am not real happy with driveway either, the driveway is fine until the last 150 yds, which is gravel, and to me narrow, but people climb it everyday so it must not be a big issue. Internet would also be nice, use GPS to find quicker way to the Parkway, the way coming in is almost 15 miles back to Sievierville. Im sure we just had bad luck, and am sure this is a wonderful place to stay, but for us we like to be a little closer to the parkway and attractions

Owner response: Written information is provided to each guest at time of reservation with directions to the cabin, access codes and numbers for assistance while staying at Rustic Elegance - I am located in Atlanta, GA and (six hours away from the cabin) - we have a great team of folks located less than one mile from the cabin to assist with anything a guest might need during their stay. Comcast switched it's service from analog to digital during the time of this reservation and the guest called me in Atlanta instead of the cabin services located locally which delayed the resolution of the cable issue. As stated in our profile of the cabin, we do not offer internet service or phone service in this cabin in order to help keep daily rates reasonable. My family has an array of phone service providers, AT&T, Verizon, Bellsouth, T-Mobile and have no trouble getting service at the cabin. The road to the cabin is accessible by car, truck, etc. and is probably narrower than your normal public road because it is a road cut through a mountain side. Please do not use Grant Lane as the entrance to the cabin as this is a one-way road and was planned that way to keep folks from meeting on a "narrow" road with no way to turn around. The cabin is located in Sevierville, TN and is literally a six miles straight shot back to the Parkway located at Dollywood Lane. If a guest wants to stay closer to Parkway and attractions, we would suggest renting a motel/hotel room down on the Parkway. We enjoy the cabin atmosphere where you can leave all the attractions and crowds at the Parkway and come back to peach and tranquility.

Fabulous Experience! Highly recommend for a romantic getaway. We went for a long weekend in conjunction with the AL/TN game in Knoxville. My daughter & her husband stayed with us the first night and didn't sleep well on the sofa bed. Recommend taking a blow-up mattress instead & using it in the loft area. Perfect for two though and we will definitely consider it again.

Our family enjoyed our vacation in Rustic Elegance! Close enough to enjoy all the "madness" of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge and far enough away to relax in peace and quiet! It was wonderful just to sit out on the rockers with a cup of coffee, the only sounds, nature.

This cabin was an excellent "home base" for my dad and I for the week. We came down from Pennsylvania, a ten hour drive, to visit national park. The cabin was a perfect relaxing retreat to rest after a long day of hiking, biking, swimming, or rafting. Thank you for sharing the cabin. Recommendations: drive up to Clingman's Dome just before sunset so when you arrive you can watch the colors above the clouds from the lookout and bring a sweater it gets chilly; bike Cade's Cove in the morning (they close the 11 mile loop off to cars on Wednesdays and Saturdays 7am to 10 a.m.; hike rainbow falls on a sunny day; go to Bear Creek restaurant off of 321 for some trout; if you get a clear night watch stars from Clingmans's Dome or Mt. Leconte

Pamela, Thank you for your prompt responses to our needs throughout our reservation process. The cabin was a perfect little getaway spot for our 2nd wedding anniversary. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised to find the cabin clean and as described in the VRBO listing. After the long drive from Fl, the hottub was a "warm" welcome. In fact, that's where we spent most of our down time. Oh, with Verizon, we had incoming and outgoing calls, and with my 3G Mobile Hotspot also had internet access with my phone and tablet. The neighboring tenants, quiet as mice! Must tell you, The Old Mill was our favorite eatery. Highly recommend the corn chowder and fritters. We went for lunch and had enough leftovers for dinner. Our time together at the cabin was a nice diversion from the everyday routine that we all find ourselves in at times and we came back to Fl with smiles from ear to ear.

We came up to TN from South Mississippi hearing that it was going to snow, but not thinking it would. We woke up Christmas morning with a few inches. Snowed all day into Sunday and Monday. Unfortunatly the roads were not plowed until Monday, so if you go, make sure you have 4 wheel drive so you can get up and down the mountain. The cabin was so cute and cozy, the hot tub was EXCELLENT! Enjoyed every part of the cabin. Hot water NEVER ENDED! The heater works VERY WELL, and the gas fireplace was so nice. It was nice to bring our two Golden Retrievers. They enjoyed it as much as we did!! It's about 10 miles or so from Gatlinburg, but if you want to get away from all the touristy areas, this is the place to go!!

I JUST RETURNED FROM OUR TRIP TO DOLLYWOOD. WE STAYED AT THE RUSTIC ELEGANCE CABIN AND ENJOYED OUR TRIP TO THE TREES. MY CONCERN IS THE LACK OF PROMISED LOCAL TELEPHONE SERVICE. IN CASE OF EMERGENCY MY FAMILY AT HOME WAS UNABLE TO REACH US. ALSO THE ROAD UP TO THE CABIN WAS NARROW WITH DROP OFFS WHICH MADE GOING OUT AFTER DARK UNADVISABLE. THE CABIN WAS CLEAN AND WELL EQUIPPED.

Owner response: Hi Folks - just to put everybody's mind at ease - the phone in the cabin works for 911 calls out in case you have an emergency - I personally have Verizon Cell - my husband has Nextel, my son-in-law has TMobile, my parents have AT&T Cell and we have never had problems getting a signal to make a phone call - the driveway to Rustic Elegance is asphalted all the way from the bottom of the mountain to the frontdoor - we drive a Chevrolet 2500 HD - huge truck - have no problem manuevering the driveway during the daylight or after dark - thanks again and hope to see you all soon at Rustic Elegance At the Top of the Mountain

I JUST RETURNED FROM OUR WEEK LONG TRIP TO RUSTIC ELEGANCE. THIS WAS A LOVELY CABIN IN THE WOODS AND WE ENJOYED OUR WEEK. I WOULD LIKE TO NOTE THAT THERE WAS NO LOCAL PHONE SERVICE AS PROMISED AND CELL PHONE RECEPTION IS LIMITED. THIS WAS A CONCERN SINCE MY FAMILY AT HOME WAS UNABLE TO CONTACT US IN CASE OF EMERGENCY. ONLY 911 SERVICE WAS AVAILABLE. ALSO THE ROAD TO THE CABIN WAS TRICKY. IT WAS EXTREMELY NARROW WITH SHEER DROPS LEAVING NO ROOM FOR ERROR. WE DID NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE GOING OUT AFTER DARK. THE CABIN WAS CLEAN AND ALL AMENITIES WERE GOOD. THE PROPERTY WAS LOCATED ABOUT 10 MILES FROM THE MAIN STRIP. IT WAS QUIET. OTHER THAN THAT WE HAD A LOVELY TIME

It is remote enough to relax without the hustle & bustle of the touristy stuff but if you want to do something you can get to town in a short amount of time. "Rustic Elegance" is exactly what we were looking for and I would highly & gladly refer others that are wanting a quiet location to stay here. my trip to Rustice Elegance was for rest and relaxation and during my stay this is exactly what I accomplished! This cabin is remote enough for the peace and quiet you seek but yet close enough to go to dinner, go to the park or see other sights of Sevierville/Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. It is exactly as described and I wonder why anyone would stay in a hotel when this cabin offers so much more -- privacy, no traffic, hot tub, no housekeeping staff to wake you up, your own pool table and dart board, DVD player (bring your own or there are a few onsite too), private patio to relax and watch nature, kitchen to have your own snacks/meals if you choose, etc. This is by far a better value for the money spent on lodging. I would highly recommend this cabin to someone looking for a great place to stay!
