1 week in august - family with 2 kids (5 and a half and 2 and a half). The apartment is very nice, large and comfortable for 4 people (2 bedrooms). The view is amazing and we spent a lot of time especially in the evening when the cildren were sleeping only looking at the sun going down behind the barrio alto and at the different colours of the sky. The location is very good; quite area close to rossio and to the castle / alfama. If you travel with children it is good to come back home using the minibus to the castle avoiding the stars and the climning street. Check in was very weel prepared and the service was really ok. Excellent quality price ratio.

Anyone would love this apartment, with its spectacular view over the city. The area was quiet but not at all isolated, and it was an easy (though vertical) walk to almost everything we wanted to see. The interior was spacious, well laid out and very comfortable. We hope to come back.

We stayed here for a week in early September, everything was just great. The representative was there to meet us and had been checking out everything in the apartment, she found that the TV was not functioning properly and spent about 30-40 minutes working on it, calling for help and only left when it was ok. The climb from Rossio is possible in 5-10 minutes but that is non stop stair climbing. Taking it easy with the odd refreshment stop on the way is nicer and the little family owned restaurants one street below are worth a look. However you get up to the apartment it is worth it, the view is just great we spent every evening sipping a drink looking about as the sun went down before we went out and looking at the stars when we came back. We have already recommended it to friends.

Stayed a week in July 2011. Appartment is perfect, nicely equipped, stunning views. Easy access to all the downtown areas of Lisbon. It was so nice to cook a few meals at home. Will stay same place next time.

The appartment quickly became a home from home. Easy to live in. Planning how to get into town and back to the appartment was a satisfying daily challenge. Three tips - to shop for food themain street of the Gra?a district is only a short, scenic walk. The restaurant Farol de Santa Luzia - Portugese cooking for local people - friendly and excellent. I discovered that I have a lot of enjoyable studying to do - the wine list was extensive and I know little or nothing about Portugese wine. The waiters reccomendations were superb and reasonably priced - no rip-offs If on the day you are leaving you have a flight in the late afternoon/early evening keep the visit to Oceanaria for the last day. Take a taxi to Oriente station, where there is an automatic baggage deposit. Then walk through the shopping mall (the Fnac has a big choice of Fado CDs) to the Oceanaria, the restaurants etc. The aquarium is well presented. The big advantage of doing this is it offers a solution to what to do with the baggage, and the airport is only a few minutes away. Only criticism - didn't find a way to watch the rugby matches. Bbc on cable would make the place perfect. Gordon

The apartment is just great, although it could be a bit cheaper. However, we spend eight great days in Lisbon and we really enjoyed the city and the flat.

We were really positively surprised about the apartment and its location – even though we more or less knew what to expect. Nice, clean and spacious apartment with cozy local feeling and just amazingly beautiful views over the city. Not for disabled travellers, though: there's more than 200 steps from/to Chiado. Didn't bother us at all, however. Very nice restaurant nearby named Chapitó. Extra thanks to Travelling To Lisbon, we got excellent, very friendly service from the company during the reservation process and actual stay.

First of all - amazing view! It was really worth climbing thousands of stairs, almost at the top of the castle hill (bear that in mind, if you have any problems with walking). We would have only one suggestion to the landlords of the apartment: think about moving the sofa in the sitting room to the oposite wall. From that place one could admire the view over the bay, Chiado district and Rossio square, which are far more beautiful than the eastern parts of the city. The apartment itself - very comfortable, perfectly clean and very well equipped: we found everything we needed during our 10-day stay, even CDs with fado music and a greeting bottle of vinho verde in the fridge... The neighbourhood very quiet, no noisy groups of drunk tourists at night, no buses behind the window. Just a few steps from the castle and a short (but quite tiring - stairs!) walk to the Rossio square. Everything we wanted to see was within a walkind distance. We had a great time there!

We had a great stay in this apartment. It's clean, big, stylish, there is everything you might need and even more (like a bottle of wine and fado's Cds). And we had the best view of Lisbon. Every evening we were seating on the balcony, drinking vino Verde, listening to Portuguese music. The only one problem - you have to climb a lot!
