Great Location, Great Condo

Guest: Mike (Fargo)
Date of Stay: 12/22/11 Review Submitted: 01/06/12

This was our first year staying at Edelweiss, having stayed at other locations farther away from the downtown area in the past. This location is excellent definitely the best we have stayed at, right across the street from the Park City Resort parking lot. You can either walk across the lot with your skis or simply drive down to the corner and into the parking lot to have immediate access to the lifts or the resort shopping area. The condo was spacious for a family of four and very comfortable and homey. Parking was located just off the street in front of the building, and if you didn’t want to drive, the bus stop was also right in front of the building, very convenient way to get downtown or around Park City. The hot tub was located in the center of the condo complex and was large enough to accommodate easily up to 10 people. The other condo occupants were very friendly and we had a great time. While the skiing wasn’t the greatest this year, (tough year all over the country), the condo helped make up for it by giving us a great place to have a family vacation. We will definitely rent this unit if and when we get back to Park City!

Skiing Getaway

Guest: David (Amesbury, MA)

We had a blast! Great location right across the street from Park City Ski Area's main parking lot and base area. Even if you want to ski elsewhere, like Deer Valley or the Canyons, they are only a few minutes away and you are close to downtown Park City for dinner and night life after skiing. Master Bedroom had a nice large and comfortable bed and private bathroom for my wife and I and my two children shared the second bedroom with twin beds. They used the second bathroom which is adjacent to the entrance to the 2nd bedroom and the living room. The hot tub was great for the sore muscles, the gas fireplace was enjoyed by all and so easy to use. The kitchen was well stocked, the heat system was no problem at all and WIFI was great. We will try to get this place when we come back to Park City!

Sundance Skiing

Guest: Doug (Fort Wayne Indiana)
Date of Stay: 01/22/11 Review Submitted: 01/26/11

I have been coming to Park City during Sundance to Ski for 13 + years. We have stayed at this location a number of times, when we can get in. The unit is always very clean, and well equipped. The location is perfect, just a short walk to Park City Mountain resort, and the Town bus stops right in front of the complex, you really do not need a car. The WIFI was very fast, a couple of us had to do some late night work to keep our days open for skiing, and we had no problems. The pool and hot tub were great, and very clean. I would definitly recommend this unit as a great start to your family or your boys or girls only vacation.

Edelweiss Haus - Unit "T"

Guest: Jeff (Maryland)
Date of Stay: 01/22/11 Review Submitted: 01/26/11

Just returned from 3 days skiing during Sundance. Place was incredible. Easy access (steps) to the resorts bus route or you can walk across the street to Ski Park City Resort. (which has night skiing so thats nice.) Hot tub outside was perfect after beating up my legs all day on the hill. Place was clean as a pin and the gas fireplace was nice. WIFI instructions (passwords) were right on the fridge door and it connected faster then my aircard. We'll be back for sure. JGS

Location, location, location.

There's the complimentary bus stop right out front to the Park City lift, but walking was our preference because it is so close. It's also a short walk to town. The hot tub is kept hot and is large. The wireless internet worked well with the provided password. A great condo for a ski weekend or for whatever brings you to Park City.

Great Condo, Great Skiing

Guest: James (Abilene )

My family and I have now stayed in this unit twice. The first time in Feb. 2010 and just last week in Jan. 2011. It had plenty of room for the five of us and is nicely maintained/furnished. You could not ask for a better location with the free bus stop just steps away and the resort base an easy 2 block walk. We will definitely be back for more great skiing!

Do not choose this for the wifi

Guest: sundance attendee (Southern California)
Date of Stay: 01/26/10 Review Submitted: 12/05/10

The location is great. I was there for Sundance, but others wanted to ski; getting to theatres and the slopes was convenient. When we got there we couldn't get in. After waiting for a couple of hours the maintenance guy who lives in town called us back with the correct key code. I think some numbers were transposed. The heater in the unit made an amazing racket - not talking white noise either. It was a loud metal screeching and banging that turned on and off all night long. I get back to sleep easily, but others in my party found this unacceptable. I chose the unit for the wifi, which never worked, so that was pretty much a deal breaker on choosing this unit in the future.

Owner response: It is true that an access number was written out of sequence and this renter had trouble entering the unit. We apologized and the correction was made by our caretaker over the phone as soon as possible, we are truly sorry for this inconvenience. The rest of this however to our knowledge is inaccurrate. We were at the condo the weekend prior to this traveler and had no trouble accessing the WIFI. Our manager went there specifically to respond to her complaint, and again had no problem accessing the internet. As far as an "amazing racket" , we have spent many vacations at this unit with our family and never experienced any unusual noise, nor have we ever had any complaints like this. As far as I know no one in the complex has ever had a complaint like this. We take pride in making this a comfortable, economical Park City vacation unit.
