Description of the apartment -
· This quiet 2 bedroom apartment has a terrace and is on the 6th floor(US terms), without elevator. It has air-conditioning, heating, and a full kitchen with pots & pans, dishes, etc. that is open to the living area. The living area has a dining table and chairs, a sofa bed (sleeps 1 person), 21-inch TV, DVDs and stereo. There is 1 full bathroom with toilet, sink, and shower, and 1 extra sink in the laundry room.
Apartment ideally suited for 4 people, though it can sleep up to 5.
Description of location -
· The apartment is located in the Old City (Ciutat Vella), in the fashionable Borne neighborhood, and is very near the Gothic church of Santa Maria del Mar, the port, Ciutadella Park, Picasso Museum, and the Santa Caterina market, to name a few. It is also close to the beaches and Las Ramblas. There are many cafes, restaurants, tapas bars, and shops in the neighborhood. The Santa Caterina market has fresh meat, produce, and cheeses, similar to the more famous Boqueria market (which is also close), but less crowded and does not have some of the more exotic things.
Transportation -
· The apartment is less than 5 minutes walking from the metro station of Jaume I on the yellow line. There is also a bus stop close to the apartment with many bus lines that can take you to other places of interest in the city, if you don't feel like walking. The city buses are nice and modern, and run often.
There is also a parking garage close to the apartment, although renting a car in Barcelona is not recommended.

Dear Lauren, The apartment was great, as was your other studio apartment that we stayed in last year - both places are great - thank you so much for renting to us! It's so much nicer staying in an apartment (rather than a hotel). I have to admit, all of the stairs here were a bit of suprise at first - luckily we only travel with one light backpack each! But exercise is good...so no worries about the stairs! We loved the terrace - what an excellent bonus! Please keep in touch and let us know whenever you have new apartments available!
