Accommodations: House, 5 Bedrooms + No additional sleeping rooms avail, 2.5 Baths (Sleeps 5-10)
Keywords: House
An executive, Non-Smoking, country-style home right on the north shore of Lake Erie in a rural setting on Argyle Beach.
We limit the number of overnight guests to a maximum of 10 to ensure that our guests will feel comfortable during their precious vacation. As we enjoy having a large family ourselves we know what is important when you spend time together. And that is space. Space where you can be by yourself if you feel like it. And enough space for everyone to get together. Many rental places offer sleeping facilities for 10 guests, but the dining room table inside the house is only large enough to seat four comfortably or six “squashed together”. Our dining table is approx. 110cm wide x 223 cm long (43 in. x 88 in) There are also two extensions for the ends that each add another 50 cm (20 in.) in length.
Needless to say that we offer similar seating options outside.
We have not only received positive feedback from family reunions, wine tasting clubs and quilting groups. What we like most is when families tell us how much their children enjoyed the beach and the Lake.
Discover Southwestern Ontario and its heritage vineyards, National Park sites, and conservation areas. From spring (migration of songbirds) to fall (spectacle of monarch butterflies migrating to Mexico) there is always something to do or see.

My family stayed at this rental property for a week in July 2009 and had the most wonderful experience. I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed this property. The property itself greatly exceeded our expectations. The photographs on the website are beautiful, but they don't do justice to the true beauty of the home itself, the flower gardens, the cozy back porch, the expansive grassy backyard (great for bocce ball and other lawn games), and of course the gorgeous sandy beach and blue waters of the lake. We woke up every day to a stunning view of the water, and enjoyed amazing sunsets in the evenings. The home itself was very well appointed. We found the place spotlessly clean, and it had everything we needed in the kitchen from dinnerware, to pots and pans, to a well stocked spice pantry. There was plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating for our group of 10 at both mealtimes and lounge time. We were also pleasantly surprised to find lounge chairs on the beach for our private use. This is a truly beautiful property with all of the comforts of home. I suspect our family may make this an annual retreat!

I and three close friends visited the cottage on the lake between May 11th and 17th of this year and we had a wonderful time. We were totally delighted at first glance and all agreed the pictures, while they are lovely, cannot do justice to the beauty of the cottage and the intimate, comfortable feeling we had right away. We found the kithcen beautiful and fully equipped - and over and over again we found all the comforts of home. A wonderful stay - and we plan to return, soon.

My family and I look forward every year to renting this wonderful cottage on the lake. You simply cannot find a better, cozier, serine place to spend some quality time just "catching up" with each other. Thank you again and again for allowing us to share in this wonderful property.

What a great place for a quilt retreat weekend! Even though it was just in my back yard, it felt like we were truely on a vacation. Lots of space for setting up tables for sewing and enough room to bring 5 of your quilting friends. I hope some quilters check this out for a quilting retreat - homey, cosy atmosphere, gas fireplace, sandy beach walks, sipping coffee on the back porch listening to the lake upon the shore - it doesn't get better than that!

We enjoyed a lovely autumn weekend in your beautiful home. Between the books in your library and the amazing yard and lake view, we had more than enough to make some wonderful family memories. Thanks for the opportunity.

Thank you so much for sharing your cottage with us. We had a fabulous two weeks at the beach and we hope to return. Not only is your cottage warm, and inviting, but everyone in the area could not possibly have been nicer. We made a lot of happy memories. It was everything we had hoped it would be. All the best. The Jolly Family

Glorious! We had a great time, July 4th week 2005. 14 people and we never go tin each others way, not once. The resident at house was wonderful and full of info on the area she was a great help for our 1st time in Canada. The home and lake were splendid. Plan on a return trip next year. Your home was like being at home. Thank you.

We have much to praise about our stay - the comfort of the rooms, the superb lay-out and decor and furnishings, the well-functioning of everything including an overworked air conditioning that week, the patio/porch, garden, beach, ..... we could go on and on but in brief we with our three daughters and their families were all able to enjoy a suberb week in your Canadian home.

We had a great time at the beach house. We had all of our Children & Grandchildren, along with my Dad,stay with us and we all had a great time. We never felt overcrowded with 9 people in the house. It was very spacious and well supplied with all you thing you need to spend time there. Would do it again someday. Thanks Pam & Rob
