Perfect for a romantic get-away, destination wedding or family vacation, our quintessential Nantucket home is located on an idyllic Belgian Brick private way close to Nantucket Town, famous beaches, and bike paths. The central air conditioning is rarely needed as flower scented breezes flow through this bright and airy property. Meticulously built fifteen years ago by a master craftsman, this home is in excellent condition, with a fully equipped modern kitchen complete with granite counter tops, new appliances, Sub Zero refrigerator, new linens and towels, tasteful furnishings, and five flat screen TV’s. The house also has broadband TV and Wireless Internet Access.
Whether it is your first visit to Nantucket or you are a long time fan of this beautiful Island, this rental is perfect for you. If you are on foot or bike seeking a day at the beach or a study of Nantucket’s history, you can easily reach your destination from our home. Nearby are steps, Brant Point, jetties, and children’s beaches. Or if you prefer to enjoy the beauty of Nantucket from our home, the garden, which abuts conservation land, is tranquil, full of hydrangea, and many species of birds.
The floor plan of the first floor is perfect for entertaining with a gracious front hall, guest closet, powder room, and a beautifully designed staircase. To the left of the front hall is a sunken living room, which has been decorated in a nautical theme. It includes one of the five flat screen TV’s and leads to a convenient back entrance to the garage and driveway. On the right of the front hall is the library, stocked with an assortment of books for all ages and a variety of board games. The library flows into a dining room that seats up to ten with a french door that leads to the patio deck.
Through the dining room’s swinging door is the kitchen, a breakfast counter that seats four on bar stools, and a glass enclosed sun room with table and chairs that seats six. Through more french doors is additional access to the patio deck. The patio is complete with outdoor furniture and perfect for entertaining or a casual family barbecue prepared on our new stainless steel Weber gas grill. The outdoor table seats six with additional buffet seating for six more people.
The patio deck connects to a two car garage with a finished second floor where you will find a sunny study that includes a queen sleeper sofa, chaise lounge, and a 42 inch flat screen TV. There is a ceiling fan to circulate the cool breezes through this room’s many windows. The second floor of the main house includes a generous landing with meeting bench and central dresser for overflow linens. In the front of the house is the master bedroom suite that has wonderfully high ceilings and a ceiling fan suggestive of tropical décor. Cheerful yellow walls accented with white trim coordinate well with the white painted furniture. The room includes a king size bed, circular writing table, additional fold out desk, and flat screen TV. The Bedroom connects to a spacious dressing room with three closets and a separate dresser. The master bath includes his and her sinks, a large multi-drawer vanity with ample storage, and bath.
The second bedroom has a pastel blue and green color theme, a queen bed, fold out desk, bath, and a walk in closet. There is room in this bedroom for overflow bedding on aero mattresses. The third bedroom on the second floor is decorated with Lily Pulitzer linens and is best noted by the incredible sunlight that sets this room a glow at the end of the day.
The beautifully carved staircase gracefully continues to the third floor and fourth bedroom. It has a full and twin bed as well as a flat screen TV, a bath and decoratively tiled shower. There is room in this bedroom for overflow bedding on the aero mattresses. One can also access the roof walk from this bedroom.
Our roof walk is a wonderful get-a-way location and offers views of town and surrounding houses and fields. In the evenings you can see the fireworks displays on 4th of July, other Island fireworks held at Jetties beach, as well as Mother Nature’s exceptional sunsets.
Our washer and drier are in our basement, as well as everything else you will need for your laundry.
