Welcome to our Oscoda vacation cottage. NOW with WIFI! This is an extremely cozy and charming Michigan vacation cottage with whitewashed, cedar paneling, cedar shake, two new gas fireplaces, a cozy riverfront sun porch with a whirlpool spa, covered deck, and more than 200 feet of frontage on the mighty AuSable River. Experience a memorable time during your special Oscoda vacation getaway.
Bring your boat or personal watercraft! Boat on either the AuSable River or on Lake Huron. Some of the best fishing in the state is to be had right here in your own back yard, including bass and salmon. The large yard is ideal for lots of fun and games. Swim in the AuSable during your summer Oscoda vacation getaway, or enjoy the Lake Huron beach that is less than a mile away.
Have a great time floating in a tube or canoing down the river. You can just walk down the street to rent a canoe or some tubes for some great family fun. The best part is that you can end up right back at your own special vacation home. Sit back, relax, and watch the boats go by. The Oscoda Yacht Club is just across the river. Here you are just minutes from Oscoda's sugar sand beaches, not to mention year round fun including ice fishing, charter boat fishing, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, hunting or ATV riding.
The River home is the absolutely perfect spot for watching the fishing tournaments and canoe races. You will be able to see the finish line! The large AuSable Children's Park is very close by as well (almost across the street). The kids will love the play equipment including a great climber, plenty of swings, and a large basketball court. Your convenient Oscoda vacation getaway cottage is less than a half a mile from Oscoda Beach Park, two miniature golf courses, waterfront restaurants, charter fishing, and just over a half a mile to a quaint downtown area of specialty shops including two ice cream parlors.
Outdoors, enjoy lots of frontage right on the river, close to the mouth of Lake Huron, and within walking distance to the AuSable Inn for dining. Swim, tube, canoe, boat, fish, and grill just outside your door. In the evenings, cook out on a gas grill, cuddle up in one the cozy riverfront sitting areas, or around a fire pit, make s'mores, and completely unwind. Experience the majestic AuSable River Walk once, and you will want to return again and again.

My family loved this house! It is perfect for a getaway. It is private and quiet. With three teenagers this is a perfect house because there are two living areas and plenty of room for everyone! I will be looking forward to going there again in the near future. Everything, and I mean everything you need is provided. I couldn't believe how much was there and if I had known I would have had to bring a lot less, but that's okay. Having the dock there was just wonderful. We could fish anytime we wanted to or you could just sit on the swings and watch the boaters go by.Recommended for: Families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.
