Built in 2007, this brand new, beautifully furnished New Braunfels condo rental at WATERWHEEL RESORT on the river has all the comforts of home. Nestled on the banks of the Guadalupe River and just blocks from the Comal River and Schlitterbahn Water Park, the charms of the Texas Hill Country are at your fingertips. Relax on the 3rd floor BALCONY of this 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo with a morning cup of coffee and listen to the river rushing by and the wind rustling through the pecan trees. There is an ELEVATOR for your convenience as well. The first bedroom is at the front of the condo and features a KING size bed, TV (with cable and DVD player), 2 huge, comfy chairs and lots of natural light (when you want it) and blackout shades (for when you don’t). The en suite bathroom has a full-sized tub and shower. Bedroom 2 has a QUEEN-sized bed, wall-mounted TV with cable, and lots of closet and dresser space. The 2nd bathroom has a huge shower and is accessible from the hallway. In the living room you’ll find a COUCH that folds out into a QUEEN size bed, another TV with cable and DVD player, a karaoke machine and plenty of card games and dominoes. The kitchen is fully stocked including a coffee maker, dishwasher, microwave, utensils, cutting board, etc. The kitchen table easily seats 6. There is also a WASHER and DRYER. After a fantastic day of sightseeing and shopping (Historic GRUENE, TX is just 3 miles away) or KAYAKING and TUBING the rivers, come on back for a soak in one of 4 HOT TUBS or to take a dip in one of TWO POOLS. Grill some burgers and steaks at the BBQ grills on site and picnic at the tables nearby. Be sure to walk down to the RIVER just past the rolling green lawns and one of the pools – you can even put your kayak or canoe in and go for a ride. Call Rockin’ R River Rides to take you upriver and then float down and get out at your condo rental. Tubing/Rafting the river has never been so convenient!
New Braunfels is a small, Hill Country town founded by Germans years ago. It is conveniently located between Austin and San Antonio and not far from Canyon Lake, Fredericksburg, San Marcos and Gruene. In Austin, you can visit the state capitol and the lakes, go shopping, and enjoy the nightlife. San Antonio is home to Sea World, Six Flags Fiesta Texas and the Alamo. There is great fishing and boating in Canyon Lake and be sure to visit Gruene Hall – Texas’ oldest dance hall where country stars like George Strait got their start – and have some down-home cooking at The Gristmill next door. Fredericksburg is a short, scenic drive away and if you’re there during Peach season, you won’t be disappointed! Of course, they are also known for their amazing ANTIQUES and German Biergartens. In San Marcos you can visit the #1 Outlet Mall in the country. And if you’d like to stay close to home, Schlitterbahn is the #1 WATER PARK in the country!
