Enjoy the company of family and friends in the gracious living room, equipped with an open fireplace as well as an energy-efficient wood burning stove. There is also central heating throughout the house for your comfort.
There are two bedrooms, each with double beds. One of the bedrooms has a loft with a single bed, ideal for children. Both bedrooms face the lake and have their own private bathrooms. The bathrooms are designed with exquisite blue green stones from the southern Pacific Ocean.
To accommodate larger families, there are two additional single beds (one in the living room and the other in a TV room).
The fully-equipped kitchen comes with all the amenities; refrigerator, stove, microwave, and coffee maker, along with dishes, cookware and utensils. It’s the perfect setting to cook Chilean Rainbow Trout or ask your Hostess, Patricia to share her cooking skills. She will gladly supply organic fruits and vegetables picked from the garden right on the premises. If you are vegetarian or have special dietary needs, Patricia can provide you with special foods such as tofu, seitan, homemade bread prepared in a wood oven, brown rice, sprouts, soy milk or local honey.
‘Sammasati’ features a large terrace spanning three levels over the gardens. It’s the perfect place to finish reading that novel or get comfy in a lounge chair and just enjoy the evening sunset. Dine outdoors to the soothing music provided by the local birds and wildlife or relax inside with the Villarrica Volcano as a backdrop. If you really want some time alone, sit in the tree house and reflect.
Nestled amidst several hectares of lush vegetation, gorgeous flower gardens and inviting forests, the property is like a canvas bursting with color, painted by Mother Nature herself. Owner Description
Meet your Hostess and the Owner, Patricia... she speaks 4 languages!
Patricia is a spirited, energetic lady who loves nature and believes in living life to the fullest. She is fluent in English, Spanish, Italian and also speaks some French. Patricia grew up in Chile and at the age of 19, moved to Europe where she performed with an International Artistic group.
She has always felt she had a spiritual calling and is most at home in natural, pure surroundings. She enjoys meditation, yoga, spiritual and holistic healing.
Why the Owner Chose Pucon
For many years Patricia travelled and performed in Europe, Asia and the Orient.
When she decided to settle down for good, she returned to her Chilean roots. While she did not grow up in Pucon, she had heard wonderful things about it while living in Italy.
“So many people who were well-travelled told me about Pucon’s beauty and I decided I needed to see it for myself,” she says. “I quickly fell in love with this paradise for its mountains, the lake, the live Volcano, lush vegetation and specifically its peace.”
The Unique Benefits of this House
While Patricia lived in Japan, she was enthralled by the Japanese people and their ability to see beauty in everything around them. Japanese homes were simple, yet natural and serene. They offered a haven for reflection and well being and Patricia became accustomed to the Japanese way of living.
Upon her return to Chile, she worked closely with an architect to design the ‘Sammasati’ property as a reflection of the Japanese villas she so loved. She made sure it had the feel of Japan with all the modern touches and conveniences of a family vacation home.
Patricia has lived in Pucon for the past 6 years and says that every time she travels to other destinations she returns and “gives thanks for the life that I am living here.”

my stay at sammasati exceeded my expectations. the house was a natural addition tto the nature that surrounds it. the grounds are spectacular with many lttle nooks and crannies to find and rest in. make sure you see the dipping pool and tree house. the owner is a joy. she even made fresh baked cookies for us. the location is perfect in my mind. just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the village. the views are breath taking

Thank you to the owner, Patricia, for providing our group with such a beautiful place to stay for the week. We had an amazing time at the house. The photos on the description of the property do not do the actual views justice. The view from the house is beautiful, the grounds are perfectly kept, and the entire property is so tranquil you will not want to leave. Also, the property is within just a couple minute's drive to Pucon, to the national park, and to so many other locations and sites in the area. Check out Mamas and Tapas restaurant in Pucon for some great food. Climb the volcano. Go to Huerquehue and hike. Patricia is a very helpful owner and went out of her way to make sure that we were accommodated throughout the week. I would certainly recommend this property for your vacation or getaway.

My son and I stayed at Samasati while visiting the lovely Pucon area on our first visit to Chile and cannot recommend this enough to others. It exceeds its' billing! We were personally welcomed when we arrived with keys and house info, and warmly welcomed by Patricia when she returned; Patricia had also been extremely helpful in providing information by internet before we arrived. The view from the house and deck is breathtaking - in front, of Lake Villarica and behind to the volcano. I've done a lot of traveling and the vista and serenity found at Samasati is now in my top two list from all over the world. Nearby Pucon has something for everyone and folk were very friendly (as indeed they were throughout Chile!). A little Spanish helps outside, although Patricia speaks fluent English. The house was spotless and had everything needed for a relaxing, comfortable stay, and Patricia was very accommodating. Grounds are huge and we were invited to wander at will. Definitely do need a car as the house itself is out of town, but well worth the exchange for peace and beauty. Pucon had GREAT restaurants if you do decide to eat out, (try the "Cassis" just off the main square; desserts to die for!), artisan shopping, hiking, kayaking, climbing, canoeing, birdwatching.... and fabulous chocolates that are equal to those from Paris chocolatiers. (Who knew?) But eating out means missing out on the view from the deck where we ate out at breakfast and most dinners - wow those sunsets.... The countryside around is truly lovely and easy to negotiate. Definitely would recommend a stay here to anyone, to clean out cobwebs in the mind and soul; would certainly return given the opportunity.
