Our second stay at a Mont Vernon property. The price and location can't be beat.This unit has more amenities than most: washer/dryer, dishwasher, full American kitchen, sparkling appliances and ...can you believe full MATCHING sets of dishes, glassware, pots etc. Very well stocked with day to day supplies as well which is not usual. Plenty of towels and even a cooler for the beach. You'll love the view and proximity to Orient beach and Grand Case. The Mont Vernon property is kind of funky and definitely not resort-like. But you'll feel like a resident! They did a great job restoring the pool and improving the parking situation. Our only suggestions are to remove the excess number of chairs which crowd the patio and replace or ditch the cushions and chairs that are mildewing. We can't wait to go back next year!

I wanted to write a review as I based my choice of lodging based largely on reviews. We stayed here for our honeymoon and loved the place. What the pics leave out is an awesome stone shower with a seat and how big the porch is. Also - being on the ground level, it was great to have 'garage door' type shutters on the porch and window - something most places have, but we didn't know from this description. This place is ideal, and economical, for someone wanting an apartment/condo to call their own. If you are looking for an all inclusive resort, this isn't it. But we weren't looking for that, and we really felt like we lived in St. Martin for the 8 days we were here. Definitely rent a car. We loved Orient Beach, Orient Village, Pinel Island, the Grand Case restaurants. Lots of beach items (coolers, umbrella, chairs) with the unit as well about anything you need in the kitchen. Also - i found the TV to get 5 english channels...but didn't use it much.

Couldn't have a lovelier panoramic view of Orient Beach and St. Bart's on a clear day. The unit was extremely well equiped with everything you could want as far as appliances and even providing bar soaps, dishwashing and laundry soap and other necessities which we have not found in other VRBO rentals. How very thoughtful of S and J. Much appreciated! Full kitchen which is unusual for most units in this complex - VERY nice to have. Unit clean which I appreciate. We thoroughly enjoyed the patio and sitting outside for a glass of Rose. Pool is very refreshing and so nice to be within steps of the beach so you can dip in the ocean and then the pool! Wonderful! Mt. Vernon complex has some electrical/infrastructure problems but merely an inconvenience at most and certainly didn't take away from our vacation and enjoyment of the beach and enjoyment of all St. Martin has to offer! My fifth time staying on Orient Beach and our second staying in Mt. Vernon complex. Will be back! If you have never been to St. Martin you will need a car as you do not want to miss the great restaurants in Grand Case and Marigot! Marie France was wonderful and very receptive to our emails (as phone calls expensive for us on St. Martin). Thank YOU Marie France for everything! Owners also very accomodating. Nice to have Wifi to keep up with the world a little while in Paradise as the TV only gets two movie channels. Access to a news channel (i.e. CNN) would have been nice but glad we had our laptop! Will come back! Love Orient Beach and Horizons was great!

wonderful vacation condo

My husband and I spent 2 wks here in Oct 2010. The condo and condition of it were great. Couldn't ask for a better view, the beach is endless and the water warm and crystal clear. Nice places to eat near by, even a great pizza place on property that delivers. Large US supermarket just down the street. The washer and dryer were very useful. It is a bit of a walk to the beach but it kept our legs in shape. There was a great beach umbrella and chairs even a cooler for beach use. We would come back here in a heartbeat. Marie-France made us feel at home, even waited for us when out flight was late.Hope you will also enjoy this property

Absolutely spectacular views of the Ocean and surrounding islands. Very comfortable accommodations with an excellent kitchen and bath. The patio was perfect for sunrise coffee and croissants, and evening cocktails. Excellent restaurants within short drive. We had a delightful stay in this charming French island atmosphere.
