The Smith River is one of the cleanest rivers in America. It originates and travels through state and national forest on its way to the Pacific Ocean. This property is loaded with large redwoods trees and ferns and is very parklike.

My family and I found the house and grounds at Rivers Bend to far more then we expected. The tranquil setting in the beautiful Redwoods with its own water falls, wild berries, well groomed landscaping, and private access to Smith River provided a peaceful and relaxing weekend in the middle of our 21 day, fast moving tour of the West. The house is well kept, spacious and comfortable; plus only minutes from beautiful Kellogg Beach! There is really no way to describe the exhilarating feeling of a cool dive in the river's crystal clear water from atop the artistic granite rock that provides an excellent launching pad for those who love swimming! Wow! We really enjoyed this place, and have concluded as a family that if we ever visit the west again, rivers bend would be our home-away-from-home! Thanks Diana, and Mr. Amaro! We stayed 3 days and had a wonderful time in the river and hiking the Redwood forest. This home was super. It was a little bit off the beaten path, several miles from the city and ocean, but worth the drive. Everything was well stocked. It was peaceful, roomy, and overall a great home to visit!

We have stayed in this WONDERFUL Vacation home 2 times in the as many years. Both times for 5-7 days. We have had Family from Washington, Oregon and Utah meet up with us and enjoy our little find. It has been three years since our last visit, was just looking to see if it was still available as a rental.
