This beautifully restored and decorated farmhouse is 150 years old and situated in the heart of hunt country Virginia, surrounded by area vineyards and historic civil war battlefields and just a 10 minute drive to Old Rag Mountain. This 130 acre farm is perfectly situated for the many country events that happen in Culpeper, Rappahannock, Madison and surrounding counties such as blue grass festivals, point to point races, wine tasting celebrations and local events like parades and seasonal festivals.
It has four bedrooms, and four full baths, one with a whirlpool tub. The house was remodeled and decorated by an award-winning artist and producer and features many original works of art by her and others. It is perfect for an artist retreat with amazing views and subjects to paint. There is a 3 acre lake surrounded by fabulous mountain views, a working barn and sawmill and plenty of wild life.
Skeet and trap shooting can be arranged for an additional price, and mixed grill dinners can also be arranged, prepared and served for an additional price. It is a perfect location for weddings, reunions, retreats and family outings. (Additional pricing is available for catered events).

We had 7 people here for Christmas and the house was terrific. The gourmet kitchen was perfect to cook our large holiday meals. They had no problem with our dog staying at the house with us for the holidays. House was immaculate upon our arrival, and the cleaning fee was very reasonable. Adam was very easy to get in contact with to work out the details (and was quick to refund the security deposit), and Nina the host was more than flexible with our arrival. Found the amtrak station in culpeper very convenient. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Totally recommended.
Recommended for:Tourists without a car, pet owners, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.
