Condo features: Gulf side location, short walk to beach and pool. Please note that the beach cannot be seen from the condo windows, but is a leisurely 2 minute walk away. The unit is on the far side of the building that does not face the ocean. Beach is accessible WITHOUT crossing any streets - great for children - lounge chairs at beach. On the roof is a sunny outdoor patio.

Friendly on site management with bicycle rentals and other services. Breakers West is an 18 unit community in a quiet setting on the Gulf Coast. The beach is exceptional and not crowded. Location is ideal for bikers.
Sanibel Island is a haven unlike most of Florida; there are no traffic lights on the island. Sanibel is about half nature/wildlife preserve. Construction is strictly limited by zoning and the residents' desire to keep Sanibel low key and natural. There are no chain stores or restaurants except a Dairy Queen built in the 1950's. Bike paths, are generally separated from the roads by greenery, and cover most of the island. Sanibel has some of the world's finest shelling beaches and is a bird watchers' paradise. Among the many attractions are J. N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge & Bird Sanctuary, The Shell Museum, and C.R.O.W. (Center for Rehabilitation of Wildlife). The island features a diverse collection of restaurants, live music, community theater, a varied selection of shopping as well as all kinds of ocean sports. Captiva Island with its art galleries, restaurants, and boating is joined to Sanibel at its northern point.

Wonderful condo. to stay in. Very clean! Rooms were all very large. Loved the full sized washer and dryer! Have stayed on Sanibel many times but never at The Breakers. It's a wonderful part of the island. Less traffic= more quiet. The owners are wonderful to work with. Would rent from them again in a heartbeat!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.
