This sunny and spacious 4 bedroom cottage is sheltered by tall spruce trees that provide privacy and a peaceful atmosphere, yet the harbor and the village are only a short walk away. A ramp leads to the large wooden deck that is outfitted with comfortable adirondak chairs - a quiet place to have morning coffee or afternoon tea and watch the birds or read a good book.

This cottage has shore front access suitable for launching kayaks or canoes just a five minute walk away.

The first floor has two bedrooms with double beds, a full bath, a living room with a woodburning fireplace, a kitchen and a large dining area. All essential cookware and utensils(including a lobster pot) are provided. The second floor has two large bedrooms with double beds and a 3/4 bath.

Balsam Lane cottage is equipped with Broadband Internet Access, Cable TV, a DVD player, and telephone.

The center of the village of Tenants Harbor is a leisurely 10-minute stroll on a quiet road. There, a small grocery, library, post office, public landing and a few restaurants can be found.

Enjoy a scenic drive, or bike the back roads through the small coastal communities. Be sure to bring your camera.

Drift In public beach, Marshall Point Lighthouse and Museum, and the ferry to Monhegan Island are a short drive away. Visit the Farnsworth Museum with its collection of Wyeth paintings in nearby Rockland, and The Owl's Head Transportation Museum on your way back.
