Welcome to Seascape Retreat, a stunning two acre ocean view estate just East of Cannon Beach city limits (2 minute drive to town). Newly constructed in 2008, This home was built for our large extended family with much thought put into building a timeless beauty that our family would enjoy for generations to come.
The home is 4500 square feet and is set up to sleep 17 people. There is a master suite on each floor. The main floor master has a king sized bed, gas fireplace, private deck, air tub, separate shower and walk-in shower. The upstairs master has a king sized bed, daybed, soaking tub, separate shower and walk-in closet.
Two additional upstairs bedrooms share a bath with a tub/shower and each have queen sized beds along with twin beds that are built into two of the house’s dormers.
There is a large living space above the attached garage, which we have designated the ‘kid zone.’ It has four twin beds, a full size futon as well as plenty of space for kids to be kids. It also has its own full bathroom. In addition we have portable cribs and playpens.
As you can see we have furnished this house so that families with children can sleep close if needed or have their own space if that’s what they desire. All of the bedrooms are very nicely sized with large walk-in closets.
In the dining room there is a 9 ½ foot harvest table which seats 12 people. There is also a breakfast nook that can seat an additional 4-6 people.
The living room is sunken two steps and has a beautiful stone fireplace with built-in bookcases. French doors off of the living room lead to a large deck that spans the entire west side of the house. Beyond the deck is a wonderful large grass lawn. Upstairs there is a large sitting area with a gas fireplace, vaulted ceilings and a beautiful west facing wall of windows.

This place was amazing. We spent this last Christmas there with our family of 14 and could not have enjoyed it more. The views of the coast are breathtaking and the grounds are very private. We had plenty of room and the babies in our family had quiet space to take naps while the rest of the family could play games, cook or just visit without worrying about waking them up. I hope to be able to go back again. One thing I would suggest, try and get there during the day. Because of where it is located, on a very long winding dark road, we had a bit of a problem finding it. Other than that, it was a perfect Christmas for all of our family.

A Family's Vacation in Paradise

This was the perfect place for our long awaited family reunion. We have a big family, I have five siblings and there are five grand children. My father and mother reserved this home along with the detached guest house and we had the best time. The main part of the house where the living room, dining area, and kitchen are, were perfect for the family gatherings. The kitchen is huge with big, high end appliances and was put to good use by our family’s three gourmet cooks. When the noise and confusion of our fun became too much it was easy for someone to retreat to the library or guest house for some quite time. The view of the coast line was spectacular and the online pictures do not do it justice. We came after Thanksgiving and had some stormy weather but when the sun came out, and we headed down to the beach. Cannon Beach is a fun town for everyone, there is always something to do, rain or shine. There are a lot of nice restaurants to choose from as well. One morning my 7 year old daughter came running in from the front deck, “Mom, come out here”, her eyes as big as saucers. I grabbed my morning coffee and headed out. There on the front lawn was a herd of elk with the Oregon Coast in the background! They didn’t seem afraid so we watched them in the quiet misty morning. It was magical. After a while though, word got out and cousins, and aunts and uncles, and grandparents began to filter out. Once the elk saw they were out numbered they drifted back into the forest and just in time, I began to smell bacon frying in the house. We enjoyed our stay so much that we are all going back for my brothers wedding next year, it -was immaculately clean -is well kept -is in a beautiful location -the perfect spot for large gatherings Sarah- Anthem, Arizona
