  We stayed at the Mahana for about 1.5 weeks in mid January. We’ve stayed at the Mahana many times previously and have also stayed in one of the Leland’s units previously although it was far too long ago. Correspondence and directions from the Leland’s were flawless. Check in was very easy…..basically printing up a parking pass. We stopped at Costco and Walmart on the way to the condo. When we arrived (we were early) the cleaning folks were still there. They were quite courteous and let us put some of our stuff in the condo. They cleaned very thoroughly. When they left the condo was spotless. Windows and everything were cleaned and cleaned very well. The condo was well stocked with things such as paper towels, toilet paper, Kleenex, coffee, coffee filters, paper plates, plastic cups, etc. All the kitchen utensils you could need were there ( and clean). Additional items such as salt, pepper and spices were also present. We were set. The condo truly is oceanfront. You can hear the waves even with the doors closed. Some friends of ours were staying at the Westin and they came over for dinner and visited several other times. They were quite impressed with the condo and the Mahana. I don’t think they will be staying at the Westin again. We enjoyed many evenings grilling on the fantastic grills, visiting with the other grillers, and enjoying a nice meal on the lanai as we watched the whales and sunset. During the day (if we decided to stay at the condo) we had our option of going to the pool, fantastic hot tub, beach or grassy area above the beach. There is also fantastic snorkeling primarily to the left of the Mahana. Shuffleboard is also available although we will save that for next time. Grocery stores and shopping are close. You can walk to one shopping center and grocery store. We enjoyed watching the whales both from the lanai and the beach. They were almost constantly present. We also enjoyed watching the sea turtles. For some reason we had not noticed many of these on our previous trips. Maybe we were too busy watching the whales. Anyway, there were several turtles that lived in front of the Mahana. If we looked closely we could find them almost every time we looked. There are many other things to do on Maui. We have done almost all of these previously so we won’t go into the other fun things to do. Our time in Maui passed too quickly and we were so sad to leave and return to the real world but we will back.

• FANTASTIC Condo!

  This place is the nicest condo that we have encountered in our visits to Maui. It is truly an excellent place to relax and know that everything you may need is already provided. This condo was super clean and very welcoming. The views are spectacular and the ocean can still be heard from inside the condo when the doors are closed. The check in process was quick and easy which got us to our room faster than a regular hotel check in. And here's an added bonus... the elevators stage on the 7th Floor so we hardly ever had to wait for one!

  Recommended for: Age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

  This unit was all it was described and so much more. It had everything you needed, including spices, baggies and beach toys. We absolutely loved staying here, and are definitely planning on returning!!! Whale and dolphin watching from the lanai was breath taking, and the unit was quiet and very clean. We enjoyed the selection of books to read, and all the conforts of home this unit provided. Nothing beats the Mahana for it's true Ocean Front views! This condo is close to grocery stores, coffee shops & restaurants.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
