Why the Owner Chose Private Homes
UK resident who has a great love for America's southwest, wilderness and for desert and mountains in particular, I purchased a vacation home in Palm Desert because it offers the proximity to the mountains I love (I am an alpinista and use Santa Rosa and San Jacinto for training), and provides reliable dry sunshine all year long in one of the world's best desert climates. I chose Palm Desert because although it is close to the natural wonders I love, it is also urbane and sophisticated. I love a great hike in the wilderness during the day and a fine meal and entertainment in the evening. The central location of the house means I can walk to these from home if I choose and get a short taxi ride home if desired. Because I work in the UK, I can only be in my desert house on occasions, but because it's my (second) home, I only want renters who will look after it and treat it - and enjoy it - as they would their own.

My husband and I had a fabulous stay at Vista paseo in July. From our initial enquiry right through to our departure account reconcilliation, Peter and his manager Lesley were an absolute pleasure to deal with. We have stayed in 7 different villas in Palm Springs on previous vacations, and this villa is by far the best! This will be the one we will return to as it has everything for us, great location, extremely clean and comfortable, fantastic pool, but most of all, pleasant people to deal with. The photos really don't do it justice. Thank you Peter for sharing your holiday home with us, we will be back!

I cannot say enough about the owner of this property. He was so attentive to all of our needs, and made sure that we had everything that we needed. The house was in perfect condition.....every possible amenity. The kitchen, family room and living room flowed beautifully for our 2 adult children and their spouses, and the pool/lanai were exceptional. This home has everything and more. We have rented from VRBO before, and this is by far the best home that we have stayed at. In addition, it was close to shops, restaurants, and attractions, yet in a gated community which provied privacy. I would rent it again in a second! Thank you for making our time there so memorable.

My husband and I stayed for two months in this wonderful home perfectly located close to El Paseo Drive in Palm Desert. The owner, Peter, and his property management lady, Lesley, went overboard to make certain that everything ran smoothly and was to our liking, from the day we arrived to the day we (sadly) left. The home was just as the pictures showed -- and as the pictures cannot show, it was clean, bright, well-maintained, well-equipped with all the essentials, and very comfortable to make it your own home while you also enjoy the spectacular outside pool and dining area as well. We had several guests visiting while we were there and everyone enjoyed the guest rooms and the rest of the house as much as we did. The view of the mountains from the master bedroom and the living and dining room (as well as the entire pool area) was beautiful. You are in for a special treat if you rent this home while enjoying your stay in the amazing Palm Desert/ Palm Springs area -- you will be centrally located for exploring all parts of this wonderful location. I would hightly recommend this home to anyone looking for a lovely place to stay, an excellent owner and property management company, centrally located, close to both high end and reasonable shopping and restaurants, hiking paths within walking distance and a safe gated area.

We have stayed in a many private villas during vacations across the US and this one is by far and away the best. The inside of the house is spotless, tastfully appointed and includes all of the appliances you could need. The salt water swimming pool and lanai area is fantastic. The location of the house is excellent with quick and easy access to shopping, restaurants, bars, cafes etc. The owner, Peter, is a pleasure to deal with and extremely helpful - we gained plenty of useful tips on places to visit etc. We will definitely be staying here again in the future.

This rental is excellent in every way and as someone who has stayed in other properties in the Palm Springs area over the years this one is among the very best. My wife and I are also from the UK so it was easy for us to deal with the property owner and as other reviewers have said he goes out of his way to make everything as straightforward and easy as possible for his guests. The house is modern, contemporary, stylish, beautifully looked after and furnished with great taste. The minute you walk in the door you can feel the quality of the environment and that is before you are lucky enough to step out on to the back yard and see the pool and the hot tub. it is truly a superb house. The rooms are spacious, the facilities all that you would need and as others have said it is but a short walk and even shorter drive to the fine restaurants on Highway 111 and El Paseo. There are numerous cafes, bars and eating places within a few minutes and if you don't feel like going out then having a barbecue from the back patio will give you one of the best views in Palm Desert as the house sits at the foot of the stunning Santa Rosa mountains.

We had a fabulous time here, and plan to go again. The house and property are even nicer than the pictures, it's an easy walk to El Paseo, there are hiking trails practically out the back door, and the owner made every effort to ensure that everything was to our liking.
