We had a wonderful family reunion. What a perfect place to have it. We went to the Biltmore, White water rafting, hiking trails and enjoyed downtown Black Mountain's shops. There was so much to do at the cabin that we just stayed and enjoyed ourselves there too. Plenty to do for the kids too( they loved the campfires) The hot tub was a bonus. The cabin is beautiful and cozy at the same time. Everything you would need is there. It was awesome to just sit on the porch rockers and enjoy the view. Thanks again for sharing your home away from home. Our stay at Highrock meadow was great! The kids loved the loft, if we were in the cabin that's where they were. The hot tub is amazing!!!! We enjoyed the property especially the fire pit and being able to play ball. The beds were super comfy after a long day of exploring. Some of our favorite excursions were Grandfather Mountain, the original Mast General Store and the Biltmore Estate. I would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone interested in Staying is Black Mountain, which is quite the interesting town itself.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.
Owner response: Glad you enjoyed yourselves and found the beds so comfy!

We had a wonderful time staying in this cabin. It has everything you need and then some! It was just perfect,, and had extras like the pond, hammock, their own trails, a fire pit, and just fun things to do around the cabin. The hot tub was perfect after long hikes, and the girls got a kick out of sitting in the hot tub while it was snowing! It's always nice to find a place that accepts pets as we like to take our dogs with us when we can! I highly recommend any of these cabins! Wonderful place and wonderful and relaxing time!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.
Owner response: Yes, we are PET FRIENDLY, and have been fortunate to have such great renters that make sure the pets behave and they clean up after their pets. Cabins in such good shape you are unable to tell we allow pets. thank you.

Deja vu

When we go searching for places to get away or vacation or even eat, we spend an obscene amount of time doing homework before testing it. If we really, really, like our choice, then we don't change. I think this is our 5th year, and we are looking forward to 2013. So, why do we like it? - The cabin is spotless, and no detail is overlooked. - The location is secluded, but gives access to the things we like. Very good food, shopping, sight-seeing, and friendliness. The nearby grocery store is huge. - The high service level of the owners and efficiency of the property manager. - The beds are comfortable, even with a bad back. - Things are modern and well maintained. Suggestion: If you cook, bring a medium sized baking pan and a slotted spoon. If you want to build a fire, bring along some fire starting briquettes (not charcoal). If you go to town, bring quarters for parking. If you like Thai food, try Thai Basil. If you like to shop, Asheville is fine, Black Mountain is coming on strong, and Biltmore Village isn't much worth the time. Although I strongly recommend this fantastic little place to everyone, I would prefer that not too many people go there so that we can continue to get our favorite time on the calendar.Owner response: We welcome your feedback and look forward to hosting you again.

As soon as we walked in, we felt right at home in this cabin. The listing was as described. It was clean, comfortable and well maintained. We were able to catch our must see NFL games and MLB playoffs, thanks to the DIrect TV and cable channels available. We enjoyed the fireplace every evening. The cabin was very close to Chimney Rock, Asheville and Mt. Mitchell, which we enjoyed. Don't miss Morning Glory Cafe for breakfast down in Cheshire Village. Looking forward to our next visit.Owner response: Thank you, our team works hard to maintain the cabins in 'new' condition.
