BIG SUR PRIVACY, CARMEL LOCATION.
THE SETTING: BIG SUR Feel with CARMEL LOCATION. Majestically situated on Point Lobos Ridge, this stunning home offers the most incredible white-water and ocean views of Carmel and Pebble Beach imaginable. The home is positioned to take advantage of the natural wonders of the central coast and is guaranteed to leave you breathless. Experience the warm microclimate (15 degrees warmer than foggy Carmel), for you are perched high above the fog. Sunrises and Sunsets are 360 degrees and Carmel Village lights up the night below as the fog threading way through the Valley. Thousands of acres of California State Parks open space surround the property, with oceanfront hiking in Point Lobos State Park at the entrance to the road leading to the estate. Vast open space precludes distraction, creating an abundance of stars and planet viewing.
THE HOME: Situated on nearly 9 acres, your privacy is insured. With 4 bedrooms, 4.5 baths and 4,350 square feet of newly constructed living space this comfortably elegant home is unparalleled in quality and design. The fireplace, as well as the reclaimed 100 year-old building materials that surround you will warm your soul. The unique layout provides the privacy of three master suites, on two separate levels, each with vast ocean views. You and your guests will enjoy privacy when desired, and a number of gathering places when time to enjoy the company of family and friends. Vast patios provide seamless indoor and outdoor living, especially when you open all 25 doors to the native grass meadow and slate patios. The Chef’s appointed kitchen offers a Wolf cook top and oven, Fisher Paykel double dishwasher drawers, several subzero refrigeration systems, and beautiful cookware and tableware. We will do everything possible to make this a memorable experience that will endure a lifetime.

Reserved this home for my corporate client to do some entertaining of their top executive customers for the second year in a row. The homeowners are absolutely amazing - attentive to every detail. They ensured that my client felt at home. They shopped for our guests so that they had the requested amenities when they arrived, they served wine from their vineyard (amazing) and arranged for an amazing private chef dinner. The house was immaculate and beautiful, inside and out. I honestly can't say enough about how wonderfully perfect this experience was. We'll see you next year!!!Did you find this review helpful? This exceptionally beautiful, spacious home was perfect for my family event. The views are breathtaking from high above Carmel Valley but it's close enough to visit the Monterey Aquarium and Downtown Carmel. The central living/dining room and two patios are large and furnished with lovely art pieces and plants. There is an additional living room downstairs where our teens watched movies while we enjoyed wine and music upstairs. The BBQ and electronics worked without problem and each of the four bedrooms has a private bathroom. The kitchen has a nice gas stove and plenty of refrigerator space.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Great September Stay in Carmel, CA

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful vacation home this past September. The house is gorgeous, the view is amazing and the owners of the house (Lou & Kristin) were delightful. The house is located on top of Point Lobos Ridge, minutes away from the closest restaurants and super markets but far away from the busy Carmel/Big Sur tourist traffic. Google Maps won't get you to the house but owner's direction got us there in no time. We spent most of our nights gathered around the open kitchen and the big dining table, barbecuing outside or making soup stews. The kitchen is well equipped with necessary utensils so we had no problem whipping up gourmet meals throughout our stay. It was a wonderful stay at this beautiful home in this great town and we would recommend it highly! Rita & AndriDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We had the pleasure of staying at Lou's place in Carmel. The house is amazing from the time you walk in the front door. Lou was there to greet us with a bottle of his special wine, which is fantastic! He was a real pleasure to deal with, very responsive and helpful. The house is clean, comfortable and spacious for everyone to move around, as we had 5 women staying there. The view is spectacular! It changed daily, depending on the weather. We had planned on trying some of the great restraunts in the area, but ended up cooking every night at the house to enjoy the comfort and view! The kitchen is well equipped with a BBQ. If you are looking for a first class place to stay at the Carmel area – Don’t miss the opportunity to stay in this beautiful place. You won’t regret your choice.Did you find this review helpful? Our family loved our stay in this spectacular house. The house is an exhibit of design, taste and craftsmanship, with integration into the surrounding. You feel immersed in nature, watching the hawks and birds. When it is sunny, you can see all the way to Santa Cruz. Watching the sun sink into the horizon at night is a spectacular sight. We enjoyed the clear night sky and the shooting stars. This all 20 minutes away from downtown Carmel and all its attractions. Easy access to Big Sur, Point Lobos and Monterey. This is an otherworldly quiet separation from the hustles and bustles of nearby coastal towns.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

I'd just like to give a two-thumbs up to this property, it's location and the owners who just happen to live next door. I'd give three thumbs up if I had an extra one. The home is beautiful and perfectly constructed for its location, with ample room for the 10 of us that stayed. There is plenty of privacy, yet, you are only a short drive from Carmel, Point Lobos State reserve and even Big Sur if inclined for a bit longer day trip. You have to be there yourself to experience the serenity - pictures don't always do justice to a location and this is one of those locations. it was my parent's 50th wedding anniversary this particular weekend and we hosted a very nice event for them. We couldn't have asked for a better spot to do so. I'd highly recommend this house for anyone interested in peace and quiet and unmatched views of Pacific Ocean sunsets. As for the weather, we lucked out as it was foggy only one of the days during our stay.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Dear Lou, We're still trying to come down from our week long 'high' at Point Lobos Ridge. It was absolutely the perfect place for friends and family to gather before and after the wedding events. We canceled our restaurant reservations twice because no one wanted to leave the breathtaking scenery and comfort of your home. We will treasure the memories for a lifetime and thank you for providing the perfect retreat. We will return! Cheers, The Wallace Clan Annapolis, MDDid you find this review helpful? From the moment we arrived at the Point Lobos Estate we knew that we had picked the perfect location for our wedding. The building is a beautiful mix of antique charm and modern convenience. The setting is dramatic with breathtaking views, the long, winding drive through charming woodland to get to the estate is worth the admission alone. Lou and Kristen are charming and accommodating hosts. The surrounding area has some of the most beautiful beaches and walks in the world (they made amazing backdrops for our wedding photos). I cannot recommend this holiday location highly enough, the most breathtaking, luxurious experience we have ever had.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This home is one of a kind. The owners pay attention to detail from an esspresso maker fit for starbucks to a standard coffee machine for those who just want to be simple. The house is fully stocked with top grade amenities. The house alone is worth the stay. The design is comfortable and elegant with some of the best views you will ever experience in the carmel area. My east coast and local west coast friends enjoyed every moment at the home. Lou and Kristin are great hosts and I thank them for their kindness. A great birthday weekend! We will be back! ThanksRecommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
