The property has 800' of shoreline wrapping a private 3/4 acre park-like private peninsula extending out into the main lake. There are large sandy beaches on either side close to the house with shallow water, perfect for small children. Out on the point, there is a tranquil, shady, pine tree oasis surrounded by miles of great lake views. A max 40' dock in 8' deep water is perfect for boating and great for swimming. Fishing is excellent either from the dock or from any number of spots on the point. Mulch paths and walkways meander from the house along the water front to the end of the point for scenic enjoyment. The house is professionally landscaped to complement the exceptional house design.

Year Purchased: 2008
I am a retired corporate executive living in New Jersey, a suburb to Manhattan, and now a licensed realtor with Coldwell Banker. My love of architure and design can be seen throughout the house as well as my Master Gardener credential in the landscaping. My family in Georgia introduced me to Lake Oconee and it has been a 6 year dream project for me to carefully and lovingly design and build this distinctive custom home. I hope you will enjoy and appreciate the house as much as we do.
Why the Owner Chose Buckhead
Lake Oconee is for home owners who have boats - not the reverse, as on other lakes!! It is beautiful, peaceful and relaxing - just an hours easy drive from the Atlanta airport.
We fell in love with this unique property - 2 wooded acres with a long penisula extending out into the main lake deep water - the perfect private setting for a retreat from a hectic life.
The Unique Benefits of this House
There is deep water by the dock and also a big shallow sandy beach for kids to play. Fishing is excellent either from the dock or along the shore. Boating and water sports are also ideal since the lake is wide and not busy in our location.
The house is not a typical cookie-cutter builder's house. This unique timberfrsme house reflects the talents of the nationally renowned architect who designed it specifically for this setting. It is a fun family lake vacation house where the warmth of natural materials and the architectural integrity make a difference that can be seen, felt and enjoyed.
