  This is our second time staying in this condo, with a 3rd time coming up in October. The views from the den window are amazing. The condo is roomy, comfortable and clean. The owners have been easy to work with and honest. The photo's presented on the web site are indeed what you see when you stay here. I believe the unit has a brand new den couch that we enjoyed relaxing on as we watched TV. I'd recommend to other families who want a clean place to stay at a fair price and dealings with folks you can trust. We'll be back in October. Thanks for letting us enjoy your condo!

  This condo is just what we were hoping for! Furnishings are Pottery Barn style and color schemes are beachy and cozy/elegant. Well appointed with spacious rooms and a fantastic balcony with comfortable furniture. I left a pillow and the owner was super nice about it and is mailing the case back to me at no charge.We would definitely rent from this owner again.

  My husband and took our infant to Perdido Key for a long weekend in April. We would highly recommend this condo to anyone. It was very nicely decorated and clean. We felt very comfortable and at home here.

  Recommended for: Families with young children.

• Disappointing and Dirty

  Initially the owners of this property were very friendly. I was reassured that everything in their condo would be "perfect" and in working order. I typically do not expect perfection, however I DO expect cleanliness and honesty. Upon our arrival and almost as soon as we started to unpack I noticed not all was as it was described by the owners and in the pictures listed on this site. The kitchen counters were wiped down and the refrigerator was clean. The beds were made and bathroom toilets and showers clean, but that is were it all ended. The disappointing part is best described in the list below: The kitchen cabinets (white), all the doors especially the bathroom and bedroom doors (also white), and the furniture including ALL the bedroom furniture (white as well) had a nasty grayish tinge to it. Obviously these surfaces had not been touched with a cleaning rag in some time. BEFORE we even had a chance to unpack I ran to the store to get cleaning supplies (because there was not any to be found in the condo). I spent nearly an hour wiping EVERYTHING down, not to mention a whole canister of wipes cleaning in every room. And sure enough this graying tinge was in fact grime and dirt left over from other visitors. I was not comfortable preparing my food in a dirty kitchen. I did not want to sleep or use furniture that was not clean, especially since we had two small children staying with us as well. The tile floors throughout the condo are nice when cleaned. However, in this instance the floors were NOT clean. The once white grout was almost black with dirt. Our bare feet would turn black if walking on them without shoes. There was a load of wet towels in the washing machine that we had to dry upon arrival. The dryer is on its last leg and requires you to pull it out 2 feet from the wall to dry clothes and even then takes forever to dry a single load. The TV in the "second" master suite did not work. The extra pillows and blankets had stains on them and were worn. The couch and chairs are stained and have holes in them. The patio furniture was faded and torn (NOT AS PICTURED) The whole place is in desperate need of deep cleaning!!!! When I did contact the owners, they could only offer an apology since my CLEANING FEE was waived. I seriously doubt this place would have been any better had I paid the cleaning fee they were asking for. One the bright side, Palacio is a nice place to stay. I would recommend a different condo.

  Owner response: We take our guests happiness very seriously. But, we need to chalk this up to "one in every crowd". Our guests love our unit and return each year. Sorry our wonderful unit did not meet your expectations. Guests that make requests to us are immediately given top priority for their requests. Our housekeeper is a phone call away. Our unit was in great shape when we left it the day before your arrival and would have been even more perfect on your arrival. Although astonished, we take your comments seriously and have sent housekeeping and maintenance a copy of your review. To our future guests who read this review, we apologize in advance to you for the confusion this "review" causes you. Please make your rental decision based upon the honest reviews our unit has received. This guest just wanted her cleaning fee back and when we told her she didn't pay one, that made her angry. We are very honest owners with fair pricing. That is why our unit stays booked all Summer.

  Breath taking view, wonderful pools, easy beach access and complimentary beach service = great vacation. Very comfortable unit. We had a small maintenance issue but the owners handled it quickly and efficiently.

  My wife and I and my grand children enjoyed the condo very much, it had everything we could of needed already there in the condo. The rooms were spotless and the kitchen area was well supplied with all that we needed to make our meals and enjoy our time we had there. We are going to come back again and again if possible. We have stayed in this building for 9 years every spring break, and in several different condo's. This is the best one we ever stayed in. The view is breath taking and the door is real close to the elevator, the trash drop and in the middle of the building where you get hardly no cross wind to slam the front door when you have the sliding doors open. We can't say enough about this condo, or the owners, they do exactly what they say they will do, and they treat you very well. I guess I just want to say from my family we thank you and we will be back next year, please keep us in mind at the same time, thanks.

  We loved the condo! We come to Perdido yearly and were needing a larger place. This condo exceeded our needs and wants. It was beautiful, clean, comfortable, and had a gorgeous view. Thanks for everything and God Bless!

  I wanted to write a quick note and express our appreciation for allowing us to stay in your condo this past weekend. The views are amazing and we even got to see a few dolphins and stingrays in the water as we looked out each morning. The condo is spacious and well kept.... something this mom certainly appreciates. We have never been to the gulf side of Flordia so this was a "different" trip for us in that all we had to do was relax, go the the beach and find a few good places to eat. We all loved the white sands, the relaxing sounds of the waves, and enjoyed the very low crowds. The kids loved going out a night and searching for crabs.. that was great fun. If you are considering renting the Jackson's condo, feel comfortable in knowing you are dealing with honest people. My gut told me from the first email converations with Dale that he was up front and true to his word.. my gut was correct. We sure hope to return to Perdido Key soon and we would love to stay in the Jackson's condo again. Sheila from Middle Tennessee

  This was our second stay at Palacio. Love the location...very close to the beautiful beach. This condo is exceptionally clean and comfortable. The owners couldn't have been more helpful. Would definitely like to stay here again!
