You will enter into a gated community where you can catch a glimpse of local wildlife such as deer, squirrels, beavers, and birds of every sort including hummingbirds. You will be surrounded by the beauty of the areas' wild flowers, magnolia trees, and rock cliffs that may just leave you in awe. Bring your fishing gear and sunscreen and once you've settled in, get ready for those enjoyable days of fishing, swimming, sunbathing, and picnicking. After your days end on the lake, large decks surround the home on two sides providing a place for grilling out, watching the sunset over the mountains, or just listening to the quietness of the night. Or you may prefer a long evening walk or bike ride after the sun cools, down the miles of gravel country roads that are within the gates.

**Ky. Water Park @ Williamsburg (45Mi) Offers fun-filled days of water rides and water activities.
**Cumberland Lodge @ Williamsburg (45Mi) Offers a wildlife and artifact museum as well as a gift shop. You certainly want to see the dome of the lobby to the Lodge the painting is breath-taking. The food is superb and the employees are students at University of the Cumberlands.
**Dr. Thomas Walker State Park (50Mi) Offers a glimpse of the past
**Pine Mountain State Park (55Mi) Offers hiking with various trails and a view of Chain Rock.
A huge rock held by a chain that is said if it should fall would wipe out the town of Pineville.
**Laurel Lake Dam (35Mi) Offers a small beach like area that locals and campers visit. Massive dam which controls Laurel Lake's water.
**Rockcastle Adventure (35Mi) Offers canoe rides down the Rockcastle River.
**Bee Rock (35 Mi) Offers hiking and picnicking at the loop and narrows
You can find areas that abound with opportunities for all types of outdoor activities. If you find you want a night out Renfro Valley is only 25 minutes away; there you can stroll the streets and shops of the old town and attend one of the many concerts at the Renfro Valley Barn. There are Sunday Morning Gathering, Campmeeting, and Barn Dances at various times. Many famous country singers have appeared there including such names as Loretta Lynn, a Ky. native.
The Birthplace of Colonel Sanders Kentucky Fried Chicken is at Corbin (20Mi) if you have an urge for some fingerlickin good fried chicken and a look into the past.
