Three level 3/2 townhouse is DIRECTLY on the Gulf of Mexico. Let's go back when we lived by the tides pull, fished from our front door, and docked our boat in the small boat basin at our back door.
Gather on the top level; living room with sofa, 2 easy chairs, TV and DVD player, dining table w/6 chairs, kitchen and breakfast bar with 4 stools opens onto balcony. Sit in awe as porpoises jump, birds dive, kayakers paddle past and commercial watermen and women start the day's oyster harvesting, clam farming, crabbing and fishing within feet of your vacation home. Enjoy the views of "the Dock", where some of the finest seafood restaurants ANYWHERE are located. Sip your coffee as you switch from watching the sunrise to watching the boats putting in at Cedar Key's two boat ramps.
Middle level contains two bedrooms with bath between. The master bedroom with king bed has a covered balcony for those mid day "just want to relax and read a book". The second bedroom has a double bed, and a view of the boat basin.
The first level is a separate "mini apartment," with king bed, a sitting area, and bath. Opening to a small patio, you can have private time, while still being close to the rest of your party.
Fully furnished, including linens, fully stocked kitchen, three TVs, patio/balcony chairs, paper products, in short, bring your groceries and clothing.
Additional sleeping areas are provided by a queen sleeper sofa in the living room and another in the first level suite. Up to 10 people can be comfortably housed; other units may be available for larger parties.
Washer and dryer are in the first level. There is one designated parking space, with additional parking available on the road side. Boat launching is at the Cedar Key Marina, $10 per day, and one slip in the boat basin is included in your rental. Cedar Key is very tide dependent, please check tide tables for your intended weekend, weekly or monthly stay.
Walking distance to City Park, with swimming beach, playground, picnic pavilions and BBQ grills At the east end of 2nd Street, Cedar Key's shops, book store, restaurants, post office, grocery store and convenience store are all within 5 blocks. The State Museum is 1 mile, perfect bicycling distance, or rent a golf cart for daytime sightseeing. Kayak rentals, fishing pole rentals, bait and tackle, are all within a short walk.
Quoted prices are for up to 4 people, additional persons are $10 each per day. Cleaning fee included in weekly and monthly rental rates; two day rentals pay $40 cleaning fee.
Small pets are WELCOME. Being pet owners, we will consider larger pets, please call or email with breed and temperament. We require either proof of pest maintenance or a $50 pet fee.
